At Home Dad [アットホーム・ダッド] I LOVE THIS DORAMA, it's hard to picture Abe Hiroshi as a house-husband but it's so FUNNY...seeing all his mistakes and efforts makes you feel sorry for him too...
Hotman [ホットマン] Sorimachi Takashi is a great actor and this drama is great for the family....Its also funny because you see Haiji being a semi-bad kid, but then energetic and funny too....as for the brother, Ryonosuke, a cool guy, buy some-what a coward...you'd feel sorry for him too though....I think this drama can also teach some lessons and easy to realate to sometimes....
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Anyone who saw this would definetly think it was one of the best doramas thought of...and to add more, like a sequal, would just ruin the whole thing...
Abe Hiroshi [阿部寛] Loved him in Trick the best. Enjoyed him in At Home Dad (Best House Husband ever!), and Toubosha (he's so sinister). Great actor, and I'm looking forwards to more dramas with him.
Ichihara Hayato [市原隼人] I saw the movie Lily Chou Chou, and it was one of his best. He's one of the best young-actors I've seen, and he's grown on me too...all the dramas I've seen him in, he's pulled out as much talent as he can pronounce to the camera, I expect high things from him....
Kamiki Ryunosuke [神木隆之介] He's a stunning actor for his age, he acts with such maturity! He'll be a big talent in the future...
Miura Haruma [三浦春馬] Such a great actor. Probably did first see him in 14̕, but it wasn't directed very well that his talents were not noticed, not did they shine. Did see him in other series, but he really started you shine in Bloody. From there his talents grew. (Koizora) was emotionally breath taking, and his last role in l̂ (The Hours of My Life) was so amazing I can't wait to watch him in more! OYA撣āI
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵] I have a hrd time telling how she truely acts like in life, but she's also wild in her roles. Loved her in Trick the most, so unpredictable! Her and Abe Hroshi have such a great chemistry together. I hope she continues to do dramas that'll make me laugh...
Nakamura Shido [中村獅童] He was in FEARLESS MOVIEEEE!!! He was SO GOOD even though he only got 15minutes of fame, it was GREAT! VOTE VOTE VOTE!
Shibasaki Kou [柴咲コウ] Phenomenal actress in Orange Days, and wonderful singer as well. One of the best actresses I've seen in dramas.
Shinohara Ryoko [篠原涼子] I loved her in all the dramas I've seen of her. Anego, At Home Dad, Mother & Lover, Mukudono, and HR. She's so energetic and unpredictable, a great mix for an actress. She still is very young at heart, she will never grow old in talent!!!
Tsukamoto Takashi [塚本高史] One of the best I've seen. Can take any role and act it with such ease, no corniness what so ever.
3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei Season 7 [3年B組金八先生] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) This was such a THRILL to watch, every step of the story lead me into further anticipation. I think this one might be more darker than the other series, but I have not seen the other series, wish I could...
Yaotome (Ya-Ya-Yah) ia such a great actor in this one, many of the Johnny's Jr. talents are...Ayukawa as well, played his character flawlessly, although I was distraught on one desperate move the character made in the middle of the story...I was so OVERWHELMED with FEAR...this story grabs you into the issue.
Not only did the Johnny's portray their characters well, the other students too, all had some part in the series...
GREATEST DRAMA!!!
Aatantei jimusho [ああ探偵事務所] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Not a very creative dorama, funny, too much nudity not enough story....Nagai is adorable though, as a guy yearning to be a detective....
Ace wo Nerae! [エースをねらえ!] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Not exciting, over dramatic..Ueto Aya doesn't seem the type, she feels to be too delicate...
Aikurushii [あいくるしい] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Powerful family combination, Rynosuke's so adorable as Hojo in this one!
Left me in tears each time, but feels like it can go on, for the only conclusion would be the death of the mother, but it continues after that...
Ichihara's so adorable too, the big, idiotic brother....^-^
Ame to Yume no atoni [雨と夢の後に] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Nice and scary they w it should be. Could work on the story, but the actors were good that it canceled out. ^^
Anego [アネゴ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Loved it, Akanishi is pretty good at his job, but Shinohara is always going to be the best! This is a lovely comdedy/love drama and it places the question of "is a younger man better than an older one?" haha
Antique [アンティーク〜西洋骨董洋菓子店] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Cute Tackey drama, the boxer who loves sweets, and end up trying to create them! Although Tackey is not may favorite Johnny, he still pulls this drama off with a BANG!
Ono the chef, played by Fujiki, is so cool, you just want to fall in love.
All the caked were splendid too!
At Home Dad [アットホーム・ダッド] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Wonderful drama, the special was also very nice, but it still seems like it could open up to bigger things, like what becomes of the kids too...
Abe Hiroshi is perfect for this role, and teaches a life lesson that men are capable of doing house-work, and women should not be treated as if they belong within the confines of a house...
Also, the little kids in this drama, are SO CUTE!!!
Attack No.1 [アタック No.1] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Good drama for Ueto, but bad ending. The story I feel can still go on.
Crazy how Kozue's lover is 17, but the actor's 28...@_@
Attention Please [アテンションン プリース] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Pretty Good Ueto Aya, Never knew she had it in her. Though Nishikido doesn't seem to be too much of a match, though they did act GOOD with each other...
Bambino! [バンビーノ!] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Typical MatsuJun role. Nothing special, but a bunch of nice comedy too between Hoshan and some of the other characters~
Beauty 7 [ビューティ7] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) LOVE this drama, so funny, Momoi Kaori fits so well and is suprising as she passes through doors, walls, ANYTHING!
Kansdo Uno is so funny to, the stuck up beautician that finally understands the meaning of beauty.
Saw it twice and loved it the more I watched it!!!
Bengoshi no Kuzu [弁護士のくず] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) HILARIOUS!!! I love Ito Hideaki, and I know everyone would in this one. He's so goofy, and his partner Toyokawa makes the drama even more enjoyful to watch. Though it's not for all ages, I think this takes stereotype comedy to the best ever! Story isn't too well plotted, but it's still great stuff!
Bitter Blood [ビター・ブラッド] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) From the start you could tell it was not going to be a very deep drama. The way they act as detectives is unrealistic and sometimes just wastes time. It would be better if there was more of a connection in the main story, but lots of fillers and jokes. Both Satou and Watabe has good chemistry and were comedic.
Boku no Ita Jikan [僕のいた時間] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Once again, Miura draws me into a drama so deep it makes me think about life and appreciate it. Not a story everyone could handle, or maybe understand to an emotional level, but Miura does so well playing his character!
Brother Beat [ブラザー☆ビート] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Funny, cute guys, and a lot of chaos! Watch it and laugh at them make fools of themselves!
Byakuyakou [白夜行] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Another great hit by Yamada & Ayase. Not as good love connection as Sekai, but still a great story. The little kids were good too!
Dear Sister [ディア・シスター] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Fun and relatable, but time frame seemed too fast for a relationship to really be built. Ishihara is surprising in this as she usually plays a quiet role. She also acts so much more younger than her age is...Good job also by Matsushita, very good at her character and emotions.
Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Awesome, hilaroius, a must see for anyone! A love story, but it's one that'll make you aww, and feel sorry for either character!
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Abe Hiroshi has better work, this one wasn't layed out too perfectly. The concept sounded nice, but the acting had a bit of trouble with following the story and the love inerest made it become a little boring. Though it's stilla nice quaint drama.
Engine [エンジン] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I like this drama, although it's not one of Kimura's best, it gets in touch with his child like characteristic. It's 3 Johny's in one, and packed with laughter. Kimura and Koyuki mke an odd combination though, I didn't think there was too much chemistry between them, although the ending turn out for the two characters was predictable, the way Kimura's character brought it out was creative, much different than what I've seen. ^-^
Fire Boys [ファイアーボーイズ 〜め組の大吾〜] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) GREAT Comedy, Yamada Takayuki fits this character, and along side Tsukamoto Takashi as the rival, made it more superb. I cried in many of the scenes for it is not only funny but sad, the music that was playing in the background made me tear even more, I JUST COULDN'T HELP IT!
Although the life of a new fireman is not like the one in the dorama, I'd say its a great story of triumph....even though Daigo fails at some point, he still tries his hardest and gains the appreciation he deserves from the many people that he rescues...
Freeter, Ie o Kau. [フリーター、家を買う。] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Ninomiya does a great job in this drama. His character's emotions are easily felt, and you experience the pain of the family together. It becomes real to you that you just want to help him and see him succeed. Though sometimes slow, it has an impactful message of doing well for others and supporting those around you. Life is not just about your happiness, but the happiness of your family as a whole.
Gachi Baka ! [ガチバカ !] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) Cute boys, not very funny, and not a strong story. I don't suggest it for the critics that want a impactful story, it's more a fan based show. Kind of a remake of Gokusen..
Ganbatte Ikimasshoi [がんばっていきまっしょい] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Didn't like it. After Uchi got pushed off, the characters didn't have the same feel they did before. Taguchi was not a good replacement and the love was way to predictable. I still like Hojo Takahiro in it, though there are some doubts to the actors they chose with the characters they were to represent, and what the relationship of some were to be if Uchi was still playing Saburo...
Gekidan Engimono - Ie ga Tooi [劇団演技者 - 家が遠い] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) Not a lot of acting, scene movement, or display of each characters backgrounds, it was merely a chatting conversation between friends, in which one has a mysterious silent life to which we only know his sister is a part of. It's nice to see a calm atmosphere, but it lacks the positive force that story's constantly convey. I think is was more of a test of the Johnnys' acting ability, an exam as to where they can put their characters with a limitied setting & direction...
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん2] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Hilarious and compelling drama, just needs work on the ending, it was too fast...
Kamenashi & Akanishi is very good portraying their characters, as did the other three tough guys...
H2~Kimi to itahibi [2〜君といた日々] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) The drama was nice, but not a perfect story line. The love triangle kept going in cycle, never ending, and this drama didn't bring out the full potential talent that Yamada and Ishihara have. Tanaka and Ichikawa's chemistry was well played out, but the childhood love of Ichikawa's character towards Hiro kept disturbing the story's mood. Ishigaki played his energetic, although frightning, character with so much power. This is also one of Nakao's best as well, he gave his character a nice emotion that makes me feel sorry for his empty love character. Finally the new comer actor, Hojo Takahiro, he's so cute, although it was hard to find his character's personality for it went from Punkboy to wild and willing, he still get props for being adorable.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Loved Matsumoto & Inoue. Plus Oguri & Matsuda, they did such a good job with this drama! I recommend for a lot of people even if it is a love story...
Hanayome wa Yakudoshi! [花嫁は厄年ッ!] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) FUNNY! Shinohara is a wonderful actress and she's so peppy that you can't help but watch her. This drama rises the factor of "impressing a family" and the mother is hilarious!
Koyama is quite adorable in this too, his acting is getting better, but might still need some work..he's just a Johnny though.
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [花ざかりの君たちへ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Cute, but simple love story. I still love Oguri Shun, but some parts were predictable, but this was a funny drama!
Haruka 17 [はるか 17] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Amazing way the actress can change her image. It's a simple kind of Cinderella story, not too good, but it is funny on some parts...
Himitsu no Hanazono [ヒミツの花園] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) SO FUNNY! I love the characters and the whole story! Shaku Yumiko got to break out of seriousness and into more comedy, with the help the the guys.
Hontou ni Atta Kowai Hanashi [ほんとにあった怖い話] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) SCARY, not entirely scary, but good enough to make you jump...all true stories by people and so were the pictures shown....never upset a spirit or you might get it yourself...
Not a drama but a show of interests, to people who love to know about haunted events...
Goro is funny when he talks to the kids in his club, about things other than ghosts...
Again...ITS ALL TRUE STORIES!!!
Hotaru no Hikari [ホタルノヒカリ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Ayase Haruka is awesome! Played the role well and was so cute!!!!!
Hotaru no Hikari Season 2 [ホタルノヒカリ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Mukai is so hot! Dokyun-ko, dokyun-ko, yan-yan!
It was still a great series for it being the second one. I couldn't think of another way to make a sequal without ruining the first one. Ayase does wonderful as always and has great chemistry with Fujiki. Though I am a Mukai fan, I still think his character was a great fit to this series. Of course, the story is not perfect with someone random moments, but it is still series I would watch over and over again.
hoteriaa [ホテリアー] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Lovely love, but ending spoiled the moments. Too fast, not enough of Peiyon Jun on his character, and there was a lack in the middle story development as the ending just CAME.
Hotman [ホットマン] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Good drama for the family. Sorimachi Takashi is a very good actor and seems to be good with kids....Yamauchi Nana who plays Nanami is SO cute. The Saitou brothers might not be well known, but I still like them, especially Keita who plays Ryonosuke, he's cool by a coward....I recommend for anyone who enjoys a good and casual family drama....
Hotman Season 2 [ホットマン2] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Not filled with as many classic moments as the first, replacing the original Shima wasn't the best idea, but the Saitou brothers were amusing, and Sorimachi displays his usual personality of the in charge adult...
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Watch it Sawajiri Erika & Nishikido Ryo are a cool combo! It's so sad and emotional, better than the movie version. Though the love seemed pointless they still were a cool combo! Sawajiri Erika always plays a disabled character, but she's so good at it!
Ima Ai ni Yukimasu [いま会いにゆきます] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Very cute, but very stretched. The actor choices were good, but I'm betting the movie is better than the drama version. It's a nice calm drama to watch, and Narimiya did well
Kazoku Game [家族ゲーム] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Definitely left me wanting to see more. Some of the concept was vague and did not seem to entirely fit to a real broken family life, but it was still something different and Kamiki + Sakurai were great.
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko [結婚できない男] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Still watching this but it's not one of Abe's best. It's funny and I must say Tsukamoto looks pretty cute in this one, but not a great story, a little flat...
Kiken na Aneki [危険なアネキ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Funny when the story pregresses, though Itoh is hard to picture as peppy. I think it's a drama for some good time laughter!
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo Season 3 [金田一少年の事件簿 3] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Sexy Matsumoto Jun, this role fit him well. Loved hair, and his stupid behavior. This is a must watch for lovers of Jun or someone who still enjoys the drama, I know I'll watch it again, it's SO suspensful.
Kuitan [喰いタン] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Very funny with this sempai of all johnnys, though the mysteries weren't too creative and some parts seemed over done. I did like the kids though, quite cute looking like Conan but being called Kindaichi (watch the animes to understand the joke.)
Kuitan Season 2 [喰いタン 2] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Same Kuitan, just more food. Food is delicious, but the storyline wasn't any different. As well, the ending didn't impact me like the first season's did...
Kurosagi [クロサギ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Meh it's an average role for Yamashita. It wasn't bad, the schemes were quite witty, but the emphasis between the two "lovers" wasn't well plotted because in the end it just left the same way you begin watching it...
Kyowa Kaisha Yasumimasu [きょうは会社休みます] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Always enjoy Ayase, and she does well bringing great chemistry to anyone she's partnered with. This one was enjoyable to watch, though cheesy and lots of impossible scenarios. However, it is one I can say is a positive in my library.
Last Cinderella [ラスト シンデレラ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Rather cheesy and the same role for Shinohara. Though I like the male counterparts, story did not feel relatable or compelling enough. Acting was good and still fun to watch, but can't relate with emotionally.
Lion Sensei [ライオン先生] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Funny, but not a good story line..I couldn't believe the stories too well....
 (͂-Ha-ge) BALD!!!.....lol that's the best thing..Soul'd Out wasn't a very good choice for a theme though....Lyrico was better....
Magari Kado no Kanojyo [曲がり角の彼女] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Funny and witty. Comedian Aoki gets a shot at playing a normal women out for true love.
Inamori and Shaku's character quarrels were always a blast.
Gotta love Kaname, still as handsome as ever, although he could use some more sleep...^-^
Meitantei Conan: Sayonara Made no Prologue [名探偵コナン- 工藤新一への挑戦状] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This was one of my favorite mangas growing up. At first, I wasn't sure if Oguri was the right fit, but then I got used to him and he did quite well. Kurokawa is kind of young to play Ran, but she did do a good job too.
Minamikun no koibito [南くんの恋人] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Good dorama, and story, but the ending was too predicatble, and not suprising at all, which is what it should've amounted to at some point.....
Mother and Lover [マザー&ラヴァー] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Well played by Sakaguchi of the Mother Complex man, always putting his mother before his lover, which is never a good thing either...
Shinohara's character, a very dreamful wisher for the perfect guy, played her part well too, continuously a hyper women...
Moyashimon [もやしもん] Rating: 2/10 (Watched) Could only get through most of the first episode before shutting it down. Wayyyy too cheesy, no idea what is going on, and acting was less than a hint of good. Should rethink this drama...
My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒロ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Still watching but it's SO FUNNY! Nagase Tomoya can really bring it, and I'm glad that Tegoshi gets a different role compared to his "quiet & cool" look. Although some of the jokes are corny, it's still full of great laughter scenes. A must see for kicks!
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) It was cute, the pig thing was such a nice mascot for Nobuta. The three-legged pigs actually exist, I have 2 myself, and they are strange but sooo adorable. This story is like an average Japanese high school story, but with an encouraging "umph". It reveals the power of friends, and how important it is to help those that have trouble. Doing something about a situation is better than just watching & building guilt. It's a nice drama, although has some corny scenes, it funny and fun to see. Johnny boys once again, but they are a good combination..
Ns' Aoi [Ns’ あおい ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) I got more respect for Ishihara after she did this, she did a good job, and Koyama was none too bad either ^^
Okusama wa Majo [奥さまは魔女] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Very funny, but fast....Yonekura Ryoko was a perfect match to play the main character, the witch....
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Very dramatic, loved how Sae was a tough girl hiding her true feeling from Kai until the very end, when she realizes something...The ending was also very good, it wasn't mysterious, but uplifting, different from some Japanese programs, how there's mostly a sad ending then a happy one...
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan [パパとムスメの7日間] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Too short, needs a better plot-base. But the father-daughter relationship is a nice thing to touch on...
Primadam [プリマダム] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) It's adorable, funny, and inspiring to watch. I enjoyed a lot of this story, especially little Johnny boy that can now do ballet, so cute. I recommend as a family drama, it pretty much makes you want to do ballet too!
Rebound [リバウンド] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Loved it! Another great drama with Aibu and Mokomichi. Though it had cheesy moments, it never stopped making me laugh!
Regatta [レガッタ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Cute, but predictable, not so much impact in scenes that are to be suspensful. Mokomichi and Matsuda are a pretty nice combo though, but I just like Matsuda ^o^ Not too different from a lot of love stories, like Ganbatte Ikimashoi, but it's nice to watch if you want that causual love story...
Rich Man, Poor Woman [リッチマン、プアウーマン] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Oguri Shun still does a great job at playing different characters, though I wasn't too impressed with the story. It wasn't too special, but still had good ideas to convey in the part of entrepreneurship and appreciating other's.
rinbukyoku [輪舞曲] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Disappointed me in the end. It was SO GOOD, until the plot twists just poured in T_T
Sapuri [サプリ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Still watching but the drama is a little slow. Kamenashi is OK and Itoh is sweet and charming, but not sure if it's the best combo drama with them two..
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) GREAT love story, Ayase played her character well, and Yamada as well....The chemistry between them was perfect too....and the setting of the past was as I could picture!!
Shimokita Sundays [下北サンデーズ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Kinda funny to me, though hard to understand some of the jokes. It takes a while to get used to but other than that it's a pretty good drama as it is Ueto Aya. She's not too much a clown but she's cute for trying!
Shininin no onna bengoshi [7人の女弁護士] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Shaku Yumiko can't play a clutzy character too well, she has too much a sophisticated image to play such roles. Though the cases are intriguing, I felt there wasn't a real story behind it all, just a lot of case after case tales. Shaku Yumiko is still the coolest though!
Taiyou no uta [タイヨのうた] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) It's a nice story, but the movie was better. It takes so long to get some result between Kaoru and Kouji's relationship that I wish for an ending to appear. It's a little obvious as to what will happen compared to the movie a bit...
How ever still a nice quant drama, as always that's what Yamada produces.
Tantei Gakuen Q [探偵学園Q] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Nice mystery, Ryunosuke is getting older though, sadly....It was hard to figure out the cases, but the story was a little bit bland sometimes.
Tiger & Dragon [タイガー&ドラゴン] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Love it, watch it, it's a powerful combination between the two Johnnys. Nagase Tomoya can really pull off the Yakuza face!
Toubousha [逃亡者] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) A twist at every climactic point of the story, Abe Hiroshi's GREAT, and I couldn't predict anything that would happen next...!!!
Trick [トリック] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) will post comment later...
Trick Season 3 [トリック3] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Ueda's funny, the tricks are a bit simple, but the stories are endless fun...
Umizaru [海猿] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) LOVE LOVE LOVE! One of my favorite series! It's soooo sad and some parts are so UNEXPECTED that I just can't predict which way it will go. The love is a bit minor in this, but when it's there, it's a bit cheesy...
Unfair [アンフェア] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Pretty good, Shinohara goes from peppy to a straight hard police!
Visual Battle 1 Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This was my FIRST drama I had ever watched, and I loved it. The transition of the women with their looks was hilarious, and the commotion caused over one guy! I did like the guy from Doggy Bag in this, but he's vanished since...
Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu [私が恋愛できない理由] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Ending was good and has on some good points about love and relationships later on. However, I found it to be mostly cheesy and slow. The acting is not bad and the characters mix well together, but may need some tweaking at the first 5 episodes to not be too predictable.
Water Boys Season 2 [ウォーターボーイズ2] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Good comedy, a little over acting, but marvelous...Ichihara at a new view, a part from his bad-boy-self in Yankee as well as Koike...Saitou at another new look, hyper self, that looks like a role for his brother more than him.....and new comer Kimura Ryo, a wonderful edition to the team....As well Nakao, who I haven't seen in good luck, but was great playing the role of Ichihara's new friend.....
Wonderful Life [ワンダフルライフ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Sorimachi Takashi is a great person to play the role of a shot down baseball player...He seems very good with kids, like when he played as a father in HOTMAN....The last episode was pertty amusing too, but I thought it didn't FULLY complete the series, it looks like more would hapen with that wacky character and the baseball team he brought hope to...
Yama Onna Kabe Onna [山おんな壁おんな] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) SO CUTE! Such a funny story, and a true view that a lot of women have issues with. But you are, who you are, nothing else!!!
Yamada Taro Monogatari [山田太郎ものがたり] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Funny, yet can be cheesy. Cute and a nice combo of two ARASHI members. The kids were cuter though, haha.
Yankee-kun to Megane-chan [ヤンキー君とメガネちゃん] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Although cheesy because it is based on a manga, I love this! Both actors are so good together and play their roles well, though Narimiya is too old to play a high school student nowadays...
Yaoh [夜王〜YAOH〜] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Kakkoi no Kaname Jun-san ^^ Good drama with some bad kinks, but a must see for the life of Hosts.
Yasashii Jikan [優しい時間] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) One of Nino's best character portrayals, some ups and downs, but one of his great roles...
This drama you should be patient with, and enjoy the elegance they reveal, with the location, and father & son relationship that steadily becomes more intense, the truth revealed between both characters...
3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei Season 7 [3年B組金八先生] Dark, Yet the Greatest I've Seen... [Rating: 10/10] I LOVED this drama, at every dramatic scene, I was either compelled to know what would happen next, or in great sorrow over the characters suffereing or tremendous joy...
Yaotome portrayed his character with such acuracy, I would believe it was real...Ayukawa played his characrter well too, so far, all the Johnny's Jr. I have witnessed in dramas have expressed their characters perfectly, but not only did the Ya-Ya-Yah members play theit characters right, but so did the other students and cast. Such great chemistry between every role, I wish it wouldn't end...
This drama is very dark, but pulls the audience into further anticipation, and I feel that someone can relate to this drama in real life. The ending was SPECTACULAR, it seemed predictable, but it totally threw me off!!
I can't believe that this might be the LAST Kinpachi series, it's so great, but times pass...I wish they could have some sort of reunion of the Kinpachi series....see the cast and the students....heh Kato Shigeaki was so adorable in the 6th series, which I didn't get to watch...><
Aatantei jimusho [ああ探偵事務所] Macho Man As a Detective [Rating: 6/10] It was cute to see that Nagai Masaru's character wanted to be a detective, but the believability was a little loose...much nudity, which wouldn't be too distracting since it's for adults, but the story didn't seem that way....it was too simple of cases, and vague on many solutions....Comedic sections were good and the shy policeman wanting to marry the girl of his dreams was sweet too, but over all it was a poorly played dorama, no a creative story line....
Ace wo Nerae! [エースをねらえ!] Not what I expected.. [Rating: 6/10] I felt that it was being a bit over dramatic, and I felt that Ueto Aya isn't entirely perfect for this part....She and Yoshizawa seemed like a perfect pair to play together in such roles, but for this dorama it didn't seem to fit....
The story was a little plain, not much on the imagination...not a very interesting concept for a dorama based on a manga....
Aikurushii [あいくるしい] Sweet and Sorrowful... [Rating: 9/10] It's a powerful family combination of Sugiura, Takenaka, Ayase, Ichihara, Ryunosuke, and Rina. Each one a perfect member of this family that loses their mother. Full od suprises, and adorable quests for Hojo-kun.
The ending was a little odd, for it's not entirely an ending, but it's rejoiceful, however this drama left me at the brink of tearing, and you have no idea what's going to happen next!
This drama is perfect for a family, it shows how powerful the relationship of a family can be when they stick together. Problems can always be forgotten but family is always one!
Ame to Yume no atoni [雨と夢の後に] Creepy & Tearful, but Questionable with Slight [Rating: 7/10] Good scariness to it, but the story was like a continuous cycle, the beginning & ending were the main keys, and the girls relationship with Mokomichi's character, though I wish it had a little more "umph" in the story, I guess you could say. I like the scary ghost encounters and the fathers situation and the neighbor, she was cool, but it's not the best story. I still do recommend this drama though, the girl is an AWESOME actress.
Anata no Tonari ni Dareka Iru [あなたの隣に誰かいる] Exciting, and wonderful concept... [Rating: 9/10] I loved the WHOLE idea to this dorama, it was very creative and unpredictable!!! Although it had some nudity, it was still very spoky and mysterious, the acting was excellent too....
B'z's song fit well with the dorama too, it's my favorite song of theirs so far...!
Anego [アネゴ] Shinohara vs. Akanishi: A Pitch with Age [Rating: 9/10] They actually made quite a powerful duo. I laughed at so many scenes and enjoyed witnessing how far their relationship went. This is a perfect drama not only for the fans of Akanishi and Shinohara, but for anyone that enjoys an uncommon love story connection.
The love between a younger man and older woman are never the strongest, but the relationship that develops as friends is always a long and ever so enjoyable event to witness. Watch all of this and you will reflect upon them with your own experiences possibly. The SPECIAL should also be watched for purpose of more of this powerful chemistry between Shinohara and Akanishi!!!
Antique [アンティーク〜西洋骨董洋菓子店] Sweet Taki... [Rating: 9/10] The boxer, he's adorable in this drama. I recommend for anyone who likes a soothing story of triumph. Although Taki is a pretty boy Johnny member, he's still a great actor, and should go far. Love watching Fujiki in this one too, he's so cool as the Chef that never wants to fall in love...
One of the best dramas, and the cakes looked SO delicious, I just want to go there myself and buy a few of my own!
All should watch the amazing Taki pull off one of his best talents into this drama!
At Home Dad [アットホーム・ダッド] Abe Hiroshi as the FATHER!!! [Rating: 10/10] This was a GREAT drama, Abe Hiroshi was such a great person to play this role, a clueless husband, learning how to be a perfect husband!!!
Nagai Masaru was also a good choice, another confused guy trying to hide a secret, but impress his girlfriend too...
One of Kawashima Naomi's perfect roles, sinister house-wife and a gossip queen bent on keeping things in order and her way...
This drama is great for the family, and the little kids were SO ADORABLE, especially the neighbor boy, SO CUTE!!! However, you wonder what the things he had to go through, would impact his life....aww Rie stands up for him, and their such bestfriends...
Attack No.1 [アタック No.1] Good Story for Ueto, bad ending... [Rating: 8/10] This role fit for Ueto Aya, it is like her other sport drama, Ace wo Onerae, but this one fit her a bit better mostly because the story was better played out then Ace was.
It was unpredictable on many occasions, starting from being selected as team captain, to over coming her health difficulties.
The only problem I hd with this drama was the ending. It had not conclusion, it just stops when they play against Brazil, and that's it. The game was supposed to determine the teams future, if they would be able to continue volleyball, or be stripped of their volley history...
Other than this it was a good story, the one thing that teased me though, was the fact that Kozue's lover is 17, but the actor is 28! how can he look like that and be 28!!! This is like Ace, becuse Ueto Aya's character in that one had a lover of 17, but an actor of 25!
Crazy @_@...
Attention Please [アテンションン プリース] ATTENTION PLEASE, funny comedy with Ueto! [Rating: 8/10] Ueto Aya was not too bad in this, at first I thought she wasn't a very good PUNK, but she acutally surprised me and changed from ditzy Volleyball player to a Flight Attendant with attitude!
I recommed this for anyone, it's a hoot, and Nishikido looks quite charming in it. I wouldn't say he's the perfect match for Aya in this, but they did do a great job together. Aibu Saki gets paired to have a crush on Nishikido again...I wonder how they felt when they found out they were in this position again...heh.
Well I suggest this for anyone wanting some fun drama, it's a keeper!
Bambino! [バンビーノ!] Cute, like how Matsumoto is always [Rating: 8/10] I liked this drama, although a little typical. Nothing new to really grasp on to. Matsumoto played the role well, it's like his typical role that he always plays. I would suggest for anyone enjoying a light watch.
Don't expect huge things from this drama, as the storyline is basic and has simple ideas of the boy wanting to make it to the top, although it's funny to see the interaction between characters. Hoshan was HILARIOUS! He could hold that glare for so long, I keep laughing at it! Also Mukai is sooo cute, but needs to work on his acting a bit...
Beauty 7 [ビューティ7] Funny side of Beauty! [Rating: 10/10] Anyone who wants a laugh, and a lesson, should watch this drama. One of Kando Uno's best, for she plays the stuck up beautician that will find out the true meaning of beauty. Uehara Takako who plays the farmer girl looking to become beautiful, and successful. It's anotehr Cinderella story, but with comedy!
Momoi Kaori did very well in this too, so smooth and graceful, as well as a suprising character, the woman who vanishes suddenly, then appears out of no where!
Bitter Blood [ビター・ブラッド] Funny at Best, Lacks in Realism [Rating: 6/10] The first episode does a good job of catching your attention, but then after they give the profile of each character and start cracking cheesy jokes, you realize where the whole show will go. It is entertaining to watch, but you cannot take much seriously in this one. The majority of the series consists of filler episodes with the occasional tag of relating to the main story, but it's not a fulfilling one.
Oikawa is always enjoyable to watch in any drama he does, especially comedies. Though he's not a main character here, he still as his moments where he stills the light. Watabe and Sato do a good job of working together and giving adequate chemistry, but it doesn't save the drama series.
If they could do more with the main plot, that may make the drama more suspenseful and suck you in, but alas it is just to give you laughs and enjoy seeing Satou run around in a suit in a semi-masculine way.
Boku no Ita Jikan [僕のいた時間] Not a Drama for the Weak and Unemotional [Rating: 9/10] The story starts out as something mysterious, you wonder what the main focus will be about and already curious as to how it ends. Through this story, it is not just about the love between two characters, but the triumphs a boy must experience in order to live the normal life he desires. However, he also realizes that because of his condition, he shouldn't be afraid to rely on others around him too.
One can become emotionally involved with this story because you are watching someone suffer and never thought that this could happen to you too. In addition, it is not just himself that has personal issues to face, everyone else does too. It is a story that can make you realize you have to appreciate more and not ignore touch situations.
The ending to this story is one that was still played well, but I feel that there should be more to it. It ends on a nice note, but not the note I would expect it to go. Sometimes when you have a story with such heavy emotions, you expect it to end in a similar way, or at least make you realize more about things. It stills teaches the viewer in the end, the things to appreciate.
Miura does a great job conveying the story of his character and all chemistry between actors felt believable. This is important to have in this kind of story because any fragment of off rhythm could upset the emotional message this drama tries to place. Well done!
Brother Beat [ブラザー☆ビート] 3 Brothers & a Mess of Punches [Rating: 7/10] Pretty funny, I'd say having a house full of guys would have THAT much drama going on. I did like that Tamayama & Mokomichi were chosen, though Nakao was a little iffy. However as you keep watching the story you understand that Nakao's character isn't really meant to stand out. Kuninaka is so adorable and I think her and Tamayama are a good pair for this type of situation.
This isn't a very good drama, since some of the acting is a little bland and some story lines are a bit cliche, but it is funny and a nice "dreaming of a love" love story. ^^
Busu no Hitomi Koishiteru [ブスの瞳恋してる] Funny, yet lagged at the end... [Rating: 6/10] I like it, it's just the ending disappointed me. Also the idea of Goro's character swimming through 3 girls and FINALLY picking, made me tired. It was obvious from the start what was going to happen, but getting there got tiring after a bit.
I do like Kato though...heh, my pick for cute Johnny, but I am serious when I say this is a good drama for laughs, not for best story.
Byakuyakou [白夜行] Great Couple, Ayase & Yamada, Can't Stop the R [Rating: 9/10] I like this, I don't care if it's kind of similar to Sekai, it has a different plot and the emotion in this is more different. The love scenes between the two aren't as compelling as Sekai, but they are a good combination. The story was almost perfectly plotted out, and the plot twists did make it more mysterious, though I do hve problems with the sudden encounter of new characters, the transition isn't too smooth.
I recommend this for any one who likes love stories and a nice suspense drama. It leaves you at the tension of whether they will get caught again..
PS: Tanaka Koutaro in one of Yamada's dramas again!
Dear Sister [ディア・シスター] Good for Women and Touching Story [Rating: 8/10] In the start of this drama, the idea is already relatable and enjoyable to continue watching. You wonder about Hazuki (Matsushita) and why her sister has suddenly come back into her life. Of course, the main character is Hazuki's sister, Misaki (Ishihara) and how she lives a seemingly carefree life.
Most of us who have siblings has been through the daily battles and yearning to live like the other one, but in the end love one another relentlessly. This is similar but with more chaos and comedic moments. All the actors do well in their roles and we see a deep connection.
The only issues with this drama is the concept of time. We have no idea for how long Misaki was away from her sister's life, nor how much time jumps from episode to episode. This goes for love interests too as some spark quickly, while others with history are already in a confusing state. Maybe if I watched it again, and paid closer attention, I could see the difference in change, but a drama should be able to do that the first time you watch it.
Overall it was very enjoyable and something I would watch again. It brought me to near tears with some emotional spots, but that could be because of my life experience. All in all, it is a great watch for women wanting a calm, yet funny story to watch while relaxing at home.
Densha Otoko [電車男] FUNNIER THAN THE MOVIE! [Rating: 9/10] This is SO MUCH better than the movie for it not only emphasizes a love connection between two characters of different worlds, but it's FUNNY! The comedy mixture added into this drama makes this a hit for anyone that feels they cannot love someone that is a total opposite and may judge you differently. Ito Atsushi is not the best actor in the world, but he played this role with such precision that I believe him to be an "otaku".
Watch this, and I really mean WATCH IT because you'll be missing out on a drama that will make you laugh til you fall out of your seat! You'll feel so much emotion towards Atsushi's character that you'll think twice before you decide to make fun of a person of his stature ever again. The Ito's make a perfect couple for t his drama and so much chemistry that you just want it to last forever!
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜] High School Story: Not Abe's Best, but Can Still M [Rating: 7/10] I wouldn't say this was one of his best roles, but it was still an OK drama. Yamashita plays another quiet cool guy, Koike is peppy and the rest are also trying to get into Tokyo University. The concept seemed good, but it had some flaws with the acting and the story actually having a grip on the audience. It's a nice suttle drama, but not one of Abe's best. Shame because Abe Hiroshi is dang tall, dang funny, and has talent that can sore so far!
Some of the episodes were good though, like the way they learned things with each other, and the high expert teachers, but having that small love traingle and not so dramatic yet too serene ending was a draw back. The tale is a little predictable but nice as a quiet drama to watch.
Engine [エンジン] Kimura is a child. [Rating: 8/10] I think this is more fun for Kimura than one of his best work. It's more relaxing than his other roles, and the kids were so ADORABLE!!!
The story was not as predictable as I thought, and Kimura's character is just like him, but the chemistry between Koyuki and Kimura wasn't as strong. Although the final page of the two's relationship was creatively performed, I still think they lacked a bit of chemistry in placing a shy relationship...
However I think this is a nice drama for anyone who loves kids, a fmaily drama, or love watching Racing! A story of triumph and failure, but there's always something to learn from it all, especially for Kimura's character...
It's a three Johnny's in one drama, what a special treat as well...^-^
Fire Boys [ファイアーボーイズ 〜め組の大吾〜] Sad and Funny... [Rating: 9/10] I enjoyed this drama because of the many funny scenes within it and I have cried in many of the scenes, like when Daigou just tries his hardest, but seems to get into trouble in the process....
The only downside from this drama, is that a TRUE fireman would not be afraid of anything and takes risks without hesitation, but I thought Takayuki was awsome as this character, he did match the one in the manga....and along side Takashi, made the tention rise between the two rivals...
I'd say it was a GREAT dorama and I would recommend for anyone in need of some comedy and sorrow...
BTW:
Music I thought was weird to be used, but it was a good setting, a bit, for the dorama, but not one that would be PERFECT....the music that was played throughout the serious scenes were excellent, its what made me cry in all those sad scene...
Gachi Baka ! [ガチバカ !] High School Students Acted Better than the Teacher [Rating: 4/10] Not a good comedy and not a very compelling story. It's similar to Gokusen, but it seemed to try less in the running. It's good if you want to see the Johnny's, but I don't recommend it too much for a person who wants a great tale. It needs work and a better plot, since this idea has been run over many times..
Gekidan Engimono - Ie ga Tooi [劇団演技者 - 家が遠い] Cute Boys, Too Much Chatty... [Rating: 5/10] I did enjoy seeing Johnny boys together, but there was no story really, it was mostly the group of friends chatting on a concreate staircase & one friend in a state of idolness. Tegoshi Yuya played the same role in 15sai no Blues and he's doing it in Gachi Baka, so there's no change to his acting. Although the boys did show good expression to their characters, there wasn't much to see put them being like friends...
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん2] Amusing, and Compelling... [Rating: 8/10] I haven't seen the first Gokusen, so I can't quite compare the two, but this drama was a joy to read, although a few things made it fall from being consider a great drama.
There were, just a bit, too many scenes that Yankumi has to save hers students, and the ending wasn't as compelling as when Yankumi makes her speeches...
The actors were great, and I never knew about the KAT-TUN members until I watched this, Akanishi played a great, energetic character, and Kamenashi played his role with elegance...the cool, misunderstood boy that's brought out to the light by Yankumi...
D-51 are great singers, but not sure if the song matches with this drama...Kamenashi did good singing his own solo though...
Over all, Gokusen 2 is a great drama to get some laughs out at, and learn a thing or two about not taking advantage of terrible times and taking things for granted that can only pull you down...
H2~Kimi to itahibi [2〜君といた日々] Not one of Yamada or Ishihara's best... [Rating: 7/10] I liked it a bit, but I don't think it brought the full acting potential that Yamada is known for. Ishihara's part was too energetic for her to handle, she doesn't seem to be this kind of person to me. Ishigaki and Nakao played their roles very well though.
Ishigaki although scary, pronounced crazy boy who's out to impress a girl, great. Nakao looked so much more adorable in this one, a boy wanting love, but too cocky or shy to do so himself.
The love triangle between Yamada, Ichikawa, and Tanaksa's characters was splendid, but the ending did not solve anything for this predicament the three were in. It just kept swaying back and forth between both guys...even though Ishihara's character was clear on her feelings towards Hiro.
Thought it could of done a little bit better, but it is still a funny and sweet drama for someone to watch.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] Another Classic Beauty From Matsumoto & Oguri [Rating: 8/10] Pretty good combo with Matsumoto & Inoue, and they are so funny together. At first it was hard to get used to Matsumoto as a rich naive boy, but then everything fell into place. Inoue is a perfect fit for the girl with power, she played one in Kids War 4, so she's a great match to be Tsukushi.
I really like Oguri Shun as Rui, he looked so cool, and he became the eye of every girls dreams! I couldn't help paying attention to him, he was just always the most pronounced in my eyes. Oh and Matsuda as Nishikado was pretty cool too, his acting skills are very good, I hope to see him in more dramas.
I recommend for the fans of Johnnys and anyone that wants a good story of a powerful girl, who finally gets love. It's not a total love story, but it's so good that you can't resis watching it anyways!
Haruka 17 [はるか 17] Average Effort for a Rising Star... [Rating: 6/10] She's amazing when it comes to the change in appearance for the actress, but not a solid story. This is one of those Cinderella stories that's cute but lacks the effort of impacting the audience. It is pretty funny so if you want some cute laughs, or look at girls in bikinis...go right ahead.
Himitsu no Hanazono [ヒミツの花園] Hilarious story with a sense of obvious love [Rating: 8/10] I loved this story because it was something that I didn't really expect. You always know about a manga artist's identity and in this drama the artist is hiding because they are GUYS creating one of the most popular girls manga! Shaku Yumiko got to spread away from her cute and serious woman role, and be an innocent and messed with assistant! All the actors played their roles right, from Kaname Jun to Kanata Hongo. This is a drama that is a must see for anyone, and I mean ANYONE because it's funny and witty.
Though I think the love sequence between the Wataru and Tsukiyama was way too obvious and headachy because Satoshi was in between the whole love triangle too. The love scenes I don't entirely recommend to antcipate for because although the chemistry is there, the build up to their final moment lacks. Pay attention to the bonding of the brothers, and the spectacular feat every character must go through to follow their dreams!
Hontou ni Atta Kowai Hanashi [ほんとにあった怖い話] Scary Stories--They're True Stories!!! [Rating: 9/10] Watching all the stories was frightning and they were all letters from people who experienced the super-natural beings...and the phots sent in were also creepy, which were actual photos from people in Japan...Not a drama but a show of Hauntings, kind of like "Weird Travels" on Travel Channel but these are events by people...I think the reinactments were GREAT!!!
The music theme was also frightnin, good thing I won't be getting the Soundtrack!!! Its great show if your into hauntings, but don't go under the covers if you say you enjoy these kind of stories!!!
Be aware that all pictures that had a bad Omen in this shown, were taken to a shrine and burned, so the sprirt in the picture may be at peace...
hoteriaa [ホテリアー] Nice Acting, but the ending stuck it over... [Rating: 8/10] I liked this drama because there was quite a bit of mystery between characters, but the love "square" was so ridiculous, and then the ending just made everything spin around back to happiness that it made the story flat. Peiyon Jun did not get much of an appearance in this drama even though it was a Korean story. Ueto Aya was great in this, but she still seems pretty young to be enthralled in types of character relationships such as this. The end result kind of left me at "there should be more development." The story ended too fast and the result was too predictable, it needs to be refilmed to make it less predictable.
Hotman [ホットマン] No Perfect But a Good Drama [Rating: 8/10] I thought the story was good , based off of a manga, just a few things made it seem weird, like having Sorimachi Takashi play the role of Dad, and Oldest brother, I kept seeing him as a very angry guy, but through much of the episodes his character changes and so did my opinion of him....the girl playing Nanami is SO cute and fits perfectly with the character in the story with the disease "atopi"....
Hotman Season 2 [ホットマン2] First series= the best one... [Rating: 7/10] I like the idea that they were going for, but to replace the original Shima, wasn't too good, and the way they tried to diguise it, didn't work.
The EXILE member playing the vege salesmen, was good, but only a right love chemistry to the new actress of Shima's character, he wouldn't match with the original, which is kind of confusing since the first Hotman series, Shima lost her love, and now they add another...o.O
Saitou's are my fav. but still the over acting, and what's with the hair style of Keita? Lol, seeing Shouta in his boxers/briefs, was funny, and the little plushie in the form of a corn was SO adorable...
The girl playing Ichigo, was great, and I see her as becoming the next famous actress...^_^
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙] A Whole OUTSTANDING Cast, Sawajiri & Nishikido [Rating: 9/10] I LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama, is was SO GREAT! Sawajiri does a great job in her dramas and she was phenominal with Nishikido!!! I watched the movie version of this and it was a little slow, so I suggest the drama over the movie. Sawajiri performed everything almost flawlessly, and she's so adorable it's hard not to think that she can do such a job!
She's constantly playing disabled characters, but she does a great job with them that you can't complain. She's good at putting the emotion into each scene, making me CRY! Nishikido was pretty excellent in this too, though he's just that cool type. Although there wasn't too much purpose for his character, the ineraction between the two was great. They have such good chemistry! Momosuke was pretty funny in this too, even though you only see him for moments at a time...
I suggest this drama for anyone that loves good stories and ones of inspiration. I do slightly feel sorry for the person that the story is based off of, getting it turned around and remade, but this one is just one of those dramas where it's hard to let go of!
Iryu [医龍 Team Medical Dragon] BEST SAKAGUCHI DRAMA EVER! [Rating: 10/10] This was a GREAT drama, I can't believe everything that went on, I cried on one episode!
This is one of Sakaguchi's BEST, and Teppei didn't do bad at all, her was PERFECT, not a hyper kid at all. I suggest this for almost ANYONE, though it is a LITTLE graphic on the surgery, it's a very well plotted out story, they truly are the best team, especially as actors.
Kiken na Aneki [危険なアネキ] Moriyama & Itoh Cute Sibling Combination [Rating: 6/10] At first I didn't find this drama to be..."special" since it's hard to see Itoh Misaki be peppy like that. I saw her in Beauty 7 and it's a ocmpletely different character to play. Though as the story progressed it did get funnier and you get used to Moriyama and Itoh being siblings.
I suggest this for those that look for a casual calm drama and don't mind some of the love that goes on. Oh but I REALLY don't like Eikura Nana, she bugs me, she's not a very good actress, she just is pretty....but that's my opinion. Watch this and judge for yourself.
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo Season 3 [金田一少年の事件簿 3] Matsumoto, the pretty Detective... [Rating: 10/10] He's so cute in this one, and I love the ending theme, it's addicting!
Matsumoto is a great actor, so far I've liked many of the other dramas he was in.
This drama is a must for Jun lovers, or viewers that enjoy Kindaichi. However Jun tends to show more beauty than the original kindaichi manga/anime. I believe that all the Johhny's have played the character well, but the story should get the most attention, for the cases are challenging and suspensful. I want to watch this one Again!!!
Koi ni Ochitara ~Boku no Seikou no Himitsu~ [恋におちたら〜僕の成功の秘密〜] Kusanagi Is PERFECT! [Rating: 9/10] I loved this drama, it was funny and compelling all together!!!
The only thing that bothers me about the drama is when Tsuyoshi's character finally realizes what became of his personality, after being fired from the company. I mean that he does a great transaction of going from his kind self to mean and stiff, but then mean to depressed made the characters power drop. You don't see that being fired does make you lose everything, and the character realizes that AFTER he's fired...
Other than that, it's a wonderful story, I love it and would watch it again. I also love Crystal Kay's song for this drama, although it's coincident that the drama has the same title as the song...
Kuitan [喰いタン] 2 Johnny's, but ONE Funny Tale of Food! [Rating: 7/10] This was a pretty funny drama, I do recommend it as a comedy. The sempai of all johnnys is a very good actor, as well as Morita, though the cases weren't too complex. As in the mysteries weren't creative enough. Though Kyono yelling at the character Igarashi was hilarious.
The little kids was pretty cute too, always with the cat and his Conan outfit. Having Morita's character call him Kindaichi was pretty funny too (I suggest watching the animes to find out the joke of Conan & Kindaichi).
This is a nice little drama, not the best, but it's calm and kind of fast.
Kuitan Season 2 [喰いタン 2] Same Kuitan, Nothin Surprising [Rating: 7/10] This Kuitan was nothing different from the first one, but the story was not as strong at the end. It became a little random, and Kanada got so angry. I think this drama is fun to watch the food and the cases, but not for a perfect story.
Kuitan is always a hilarious piece to keep in mind as there is so much that does occur. Watch it if you just enjoy simplicity in your drama, and don't expect too much suspense.
Kurosagi [クロサギ] Casual of Yamashita but Unique Schemes of Deceptio [Rating: 8/10] *will comment later*
Kyowa Kaisha Yasumimasu [きょうは会社休みます] Another Late Bloomer in Love [Rating: 8/10] At first, you are not sure what to expect from this story. The title doesn't give you much to think about, and with Ayase Haruka, almost anything is possible. Yet again, she plays a character unskilled in love, but does a great job making you laugh and empathize with her. In addition, though her character is inexperienced and has stupid moments at times, she makes you think about the value of life and whether love triumphs over career, or vice versa.
Tamaki Hiroshi does a great job as always playing a suave debonair who seems to attract all the ladies but the one he has his eyes on. You hope things will turn out well for him, but you just cannot predict that with the kind of plot provided. Fukushi was also a good choice to play a supporting role. Though he is young and new to the scene, he still does pretty well.
Other cast of characters that add to this are none other than Naka Risa, who has been great is most of the things she played, and Taguchi Junosuke who surprised me as his roles have not always been perfect. The selection of cast members and personalities allowed this drama to turn out to the way it is.
The only downside I would give this drama is that there are cheesy and impossible scenes that play out. For it being 10 episodes, sometimes going quick through time is their only play, but maybe it could have been used better. In addition, it got predictable towards the end, so it didn't leave me with any emotional ties. However, nonetheless I enjoyed it and would recommend this to anyone interested in another cougar love story similar to Last Cinderella, but with more softness to the story.
Lion Sensei [ライオン先生] Amusing, Yet Dull... [Rating: 7/10] I like the fact that the guy was bald, but the interaction of him and the students made it look WAY too much like a set-up...
The boy from FLAME (Yu) didn't really seem like a bad-boy type...and the music by Soul'd Out, wasn't a good idea, but the lyrics made me laugh a lot....
Funny show, but lacked believablitly...
Magari Kado no Kanojyo [曲がり角の彼女] Cute, and funny... [Rating: 9/10] I thought this drama was pretty interesting...I liked the start of it, the vice president having quarrels with Oshima, then a twist in the middle of the tale concerning the two...
Shaku Yumiko was great in this too, although I had some issues with the fact that she seems to fall in love with one of the staff, then betray him or something...I loved the fights her character and Oshima would get into about being a women over 30 and being still 25, young and beautiful that guys would fall for.
The ending was fair, but the drama is one that could go on forever. Over all it's a wonderful drama for anyone, even helps to show that just because your 30 doesn't mean your incapable of being beautiful!
**The boy playing Eriku who was also in At Home Dad, is so much more ADORABLE in this one, HE'S SO CUTE!!!
Meitantei Conan: Sayonara Made no Prologue [名探偵コナン- 工藤新一への挑戦状] Favorite Manga goes to Oguri [Rating: 8/10] I have to say, hearing the idea didn't sound all exciting because the manga form was awesome that I didn't know what they would do to make this one different. Then finally watching it, I did quite enjoy the story. Before Shinichi became Conan is a nice plan of action, it gets Aoyama away from the constant story with Conan and his identity. Overall it was worth the watch, Oguri Shun is still an awesome actor, and now I can kinda picture him as Shinichi, though I thoought that Kurokawa is a little young to be playing Ran, and Iwase didn't fit. Though I still think Kurowkawa is a very talented rising actress and she did well to try to portray Ran as best as possible.
I applaude this drama!
Minamikun no koibito [南くんの恋人] Good Story, Bad Ending [Rating: 7/10] I liked the story as it progressed, but then the ending just ruined the dorama entirely....it was kind of a piointless and predictable one, but Nino and Fukada were good together...I didn't quite enjoy all the dream wishing that Minami had a lot...
Mother and Lover [マザー&ラヴァー] Mother Complex revealed... [Rating: 9/10] I liked this drama, a lot of laughs, and precious moments. Sakaguchi Kenji and Shinohara Ryoko made an excellent pair, nice chemistry between the two actors. Some parts may have seemed too over acted, but hard to notice for you can't keep your eyes off the trio, when something may happen with Shingo's decisions. I enjoyed many of the challenges that Shinohara's character put her lover through, to see if he was the perfect boyfriend, and Sakaguchi played the Mother Complex character very well, it's believeable that he's one too...
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] Nobuta POWER! Chu-nyu. [Rating: 7/10] It was a cute drama, although a little corny at some point, the plot was quite comforting. I think that Kamenashi & Yamashita make a pretty quaint duo, although it was shocking to see Yamashita play another role other than serious & cool. He plays a weirdo pretty good I'd have to say, he is like Tackey, and I believe his acting career can go as far.
The girl I was shocked about too, because she played in Densha Otoko as the younger sister and was such a high school girl that hated her brother, but in this, WOW she changed. A shy girl who was teased by other students, this is a plus for her. She can do such a change in roles, although pieces of her acting as Nobuta were a little iffy.
The ending was a little...I dunno it was questionable. I couldn't predict it, but it wasn't smooth either, but I guess it's kind of satisfying since everyone ended happy, though Akira's conflict between loving Nobuta & being with Shuuji was a little confusing and challenging to accept with what he chose to go to in the end...
All in all, this drama is calm story & the little boy playing Shuuji's brother was adorable. In Engine he didn't get much, but this one you get to see the brotherly side. Sooo adorable, this drama is good for the Johnny fans, & a person who likes to watch high school dramas. ^-^
Ns' Aoi [Ns’ あおい ] Nice Change in Pace for Ishihara, & a New Look [Rating: 6/10] A better step up for Ishihara, I wouldn't say it was a great drama, but it did give me more respect for her. I don't know if I recommend it much, but it is a nice quaint, funny drama. Yanagiba was a good pick as the doctor and Nishimura was an excellent villain, though his hair made me laugh a bit.
This was Koyama's debut as an actor and at first he's acting seemed a little...slurred, but it got better as he got more speaking parts.
All in all I'm not sure if it's the perfect drama, but it's a drama filled with hope..and some tears.
Okusama wa Majo [奥さまは魔女] Unlike the Orginal, but Just as Fantastic!!! [Rating: 9/10] It went by fast, even though it was a dorama, but it was a great remake of US's orginal Bewitched...Yamauchi Nana was SO adorable as ever playing Tsubasa (Tabetha)...and I enjoyed the assistant played by Shioya Shun.....A Hurricane Ranger turned to an office assistant with a will to aid his boss who he cares for so much...lol...
I love the story, but the ending just didn't seem complete, although having Joji(George) be stuck with the mother was the BEST PART!!!!
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Lessons Learned... [Rating: 9/10] You learn a lot from this dorama, from the difficulty deaf people go through, to the solutions placed when you can be open to someone...I enjoyed the many moods of the character Sae, and how she finally begins to put trust into the first person who tries to befriend her...
I also enjoyed the side stories of Keita trying to express his love to Akane, and the tention being stirred up between Akane and Shohei to the end...
I didn't entirely enjoy the music of Orange Range within the dorama, but Mr. Children's theme "Sign" was perfect for this one...
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan [パパとムスメの7日間] Cute, yet nothing special [Rating: 6/10] It's a nice, typical idea. As the relationship between father and daughter are usually a strong one, this drama touches base on the experience some people have with their own children. We don't know how our kids think, we don't know what they are doing, nor do we understand the things they understand in life. This story is nice on fulfilling a lost father-daughter relationship.
The only issue with the drama, other than that it was short, is that there wasn't too much of new material going on. There were funny parts and interesting parts, but nothing was really settled and the relationship between Kenta-senpai and Kome was typical and cheesy.
I have to say that for a drama it was ok, but as a way to attract the viewers, it did not do so well, the plot was quite predictable and there are many more things they maybe should have done. Though with the way the story/title is, it's hard to have room for improvement...
rinbukyoku [輪舞曲] BREATH TAKING, Then a Let Down..... [Rating: 8/10] I LOVED this drama, "past tense", because it was so breath taking at every step, the plot was not predictable, and all the action was AMAZING, I was so taken in the moment that I never wanted the drama to end.
Every actor was PERFECT, and Mokomichi was AWESOME! However, the ending totally bit that link of thrilling. Everything started to become more predictable after almost everyone started to die. I wanted all that drama to keep going, and I loved how the love connection between Nishijima and Chie didn't become so gushy, it was a great story! I just wish the ending was changed...
I definetly recommend anyone watch this, it's SO heart throbbing!!!
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] Wonderful Love Tale... [Rating: 10/10] Although hard to switch from present to past, the story is one of the great love stories I've seen..normally I don't enjoy them because the story gets too predictable, but this one was pretty flawless.....Yamada Takayuki was a great actor in this, but he didn't look 16 or 17....Ayase Haruka was great in this as well, for she was able to play such a strong character SO well....the ending set the mood well....it just completes the whole story....
Skyhigh Season 2 [スカイハイ2] Interesting concept... [Rating: 7/10] I like the concept of having to bable to choose whether you want to take revenge and go to hell, got to heaven, or be reincarnated, as well as the small option of staying on earth to haunt, but otherwise, some of the stories were a bit simple......but the ending was a quite nice one...a BIG twist to the story in general.....
Tiger & Dragon [タイガー&ドラゴン] Both Johnny's a Double Hitter! Especially Nagase [Rating: 9/10] AWESOME, awesome drama with Nagase & Okada. Nagase can pull of that hard core look with ease. Okada is quiet, but has that sweet tone to him that still makes for a good pick in this role. It's hilarious as well as a lesson in the tradition of Japan's comedy. Never doubt how much you can learn from dramas about culture.
I suggest this one for anyone liking comedy, or Nagase's amazing and hilarious abilities.
Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go [特急田中3号] Hilarious, and Tsukamoto is still CUTE! [Rating: 9/10] I loved this drama! Kuriyama got be VERY cute instead of looking like GO-GO all the time. Tanaka Koki also did great as he looks so much like his character! The amount of dialogue was amazing, I can't believe that they remembered it all!
The ending was cute, as well. A little predictable, but so cute. This drama is a must see for anyone who likes comedy and love. It's just a relaxing drama to watch, and Tsukamoto is SO cute in it still. He's still one of the greatest actors I've seen!
Toubousha [逃亡者] Suprise At Every Corner.... [Rating: 10/10] I loved this one..it kept you puzzled until the very end...Abe Hirohi has the craziest look that mde him perfect for the role!! WOW, what a drama, dunno how it compares to the US's Fugitive, but I stil say this is one great drama...
Trick Season 3 [トリック3] Funny... [Rating: 8/10] Even though the tricks weren't too good, the chemistry between Abe and Nakama was great...so funny and Ueda is the best character, so CREAZY!!!
Umizaru [海猿] One More to Add to Ito Hideki's BLASTING Dramas! [Rating: 9/10] *will write comment later*
Unfair [アンフェア] Begins with Predictability, but Then TWISTS at the [Rating: 8/10] Love it, I cherish it. The whole thing was puzzling til the very end. This is what I call a mystery, and a suspense. All the acting was just right, and the clues still left you breathless for who was the REAL culprit. I don't think it's totally perfect, there were some flaws in it, but it was pretty much a great story for anyone to enjoy. I didn't like how Shinohara's character waqsw naked, because there really wasn't any purpose for it, and I could kind of tell it wasn't her...otherwise they'd show her face or something...
But either way, this is a worthy drama to watch, it a little more techinical so it's best to have the subtitles or know Japanese.
Visual Battle 1 My First Drama, Still Funny as a Cartoon [Rating: 8/10] *will write Comment later*
Water Boys Season 2 [ウォーターボーイズ2] Great Comedy as a Sequal Dorama... [Rating: 9/10] I liked this story, it may have been a sequal to the first dorama, and also followed the movie, but it was still a great comedy which was one purpose for it.....Even though I can't compare it to the first dorama series, I still say Ichihara and Ishihara were a good combination, but a little bit of confusion as to where their relationship as cousins, was going....
Ichihara, Nakao, Saitou, Koike, and Kimura were all good parts to play as clumsy synchro swimmers.....the only thins I didn't like was the over ascting of the boys...whenever they had a serious, or exciting moment, they tend to have over acted it a bit, making it look synthetic as it shouldn't be.....but over all I liked this dorama, though may not take Ichihara seriously anymore....
Wonderful Life [ワンダフルライフ] Cute, Funny, and Lifts the Spirit... [Rating: 9/10] I liked it because it showed a little team (Jaguars) earn help from a hero and became the best team in their city....I wish I knew the names of the actors who played elementary school baseball team, they're so ADORABLE!!! Sorimachi Takashi, was a good actor to play this role, seeing as he plays a stuck up baseball player well....
I LOVED Hirai Ken's theme to this dorama, it also would add the sorrow for the certain sad parts within the movie, as they're being played or re-shown in the ending credits....
Very funny at some point and then very sad on others...I CRIED....
Yaoh [夜王〜YAOH〜] TOKIO Man, It's a Surprising Look... [Rating: 6/10] I liked this drama. It has some bad parts in it but it was a pretty good drama. I've never seen this TOKIO member act before, and he does a good job. Though a lot of Johnnys that I have seen, do good jobs, they should stick to acting.
I recommend this drama for a bit of laughs, and a lot of cute guys. It has the dark side of the Host life, but nothing too intense or confusing, it's a keeper for me. Plues, Kaname Jun is so cute in this, there's no mistaking his charm in this one to some extent.
Yasashii Jikan [優しい時間] One of Nino's Best... [Rating: 8/10] I know many people didn't like it, but you have to watch ALL of it, it gets very compelling in the end...the point of the story is to understand the relationship between a father and son split between their own rules of life...The ending was fair, sweet too, but it feels like there should have been a little more to it...I don't know, maybe revealing more of the father and sons relationship when it was healed...
Ninomiya does a very good job in portraying the character, although on some parts, he does seem to...miss a piece of emotion to the charcter...
The location was ABSOLUTELY beautiful, Hokkaido has the best snow I've ever seen, and the theme to this drama was perfect too, Hirahara Ayaka is a wonderful singer...
This drama I recommend for people with patients, want to enjoy a calm, still show, and understands the portrayal of this story...^_^
Yume de Aimashou [夢で逢いましょう] Slow Love Story, but Still Soothing to View [Rating: 7/10] *will post comment later*
