This drama reminded me of the joy of being inquisitive again. The characters were well-written and some terrific performances really made this a very enjoyable drama for me. Sakai Maki and the kids were a joy to watch, and the actresses playing the traditionalist teacher and the monster parent were very good too considering I never really wanted to look away during their lines. Even Itoh Misaki improved from (barely) tolerable to be quite good in a few scenes late on. There were some serious discussion about the education system and its prevailing heuristics(?). It was thought-provoking almost every episode, but also there were many moments which made me laugh or lifted my spirit.
Some of the things kids say can be so funny/surprising/refreshing. The scene in front of the school at the end of episode 6 remained my favourite for its infectious optimism and spirit. I would recommend this to anyone who still is a bit of a kid at heart. :) |

I need to take a break because continuos watch of this drama make me tired but I know I'll be going to pick it up again soon. I can't help but to be amused by the way the action of the little boy. He might be troublesome for some, but certainly he's bright although his 'bright'ness might not be the definition of bright as in 'clever ,intelligent' in most of people's dictionary. It took its inspiration from the life of Thomas Edison, a great inventor who as a child dropped out from school because he was treated as troublesome kid by adults surrounding him. With the patience of his mother, he was home-schooled and grew up to be a great inventor that contribute a lot to the society |
3. | Comments by aik0 [Rating: 7/10] This is a story about a primary school teacher whose class includes a `genius` kid who tends to be curious about everything and thinks outside of the box. It means trouble for the school and parents and those who conform to the system. Parents consider the kid as bad influence to their children who are in the same class, yet the kid is gaining popularity in the class because he is "fun", which cracks me laugh everytime. Given the somewhat unappealing theme, I am surprised that EP1 is pretty funny, hope the story does not go lame later on. Yet the finale really shows the female lead can't act, nevertheless, I give the show a 7. |
4. | Comments by abelcmcr [Rating: 8/10] Ito Misaki is out of her unobtainable girl regular kind of role of her. She is portraited as an only human kind of human with flaws and visible insecurities. Hanafusa Kento shows an admirable curiosity that get oneself wanting to be similar. The drama presents a good amount of very interesting concepts that are taken as logical but one realizes that many are unknown. It also has a very good theme song. Overall, a very enjoyable drama. |

6. | Comments by rikastar [Rating: 9/10] I think I'm slightly bored of love stories and manga adaptions at this point in time, so this was like a breath of fresh air. I didn't intend to watch this at first but it turned out to be very interesting. Nice music as well. Took away one point because of Ito Misaki. She is really robotic and always has unnatural and weird expressions >_< |
7. | Comments by Sun_Shang_Xiang [Rating: 8/10] Great performances from Sakai Maki, Tanihara Shosuke , Osugi Ren, Matsushima Yuki (she's always good) and Tanaka Yoji. Incidently this is actually (imho) Itoh Misaki's best role ; I used to think of her as just being a pretty face but as the story unfolds she improves and actually dose a pretty good job. |
8. | Comments by SayaOtonashi [Rating: 5/10] It was quite interesting but once again I don't really like Itoh Misaki, I just end up watching her doramas withouth knowing. All the "Shizuka niiii" was getting me really nervous. Anyway that little boy was just adorable, although the plot slowly goes down until the end. |
9. | Comments by natzumi [Rating: 5/10] Personally, I am not that impressed with Ito Maki's recent drama roles. It's quite bad in my opinion. She definatley desirves better. This storyline, I thought was pretty dumb and a waste of time. Stopped watching after ep 2. |
10. | Comments by aoi_dolphine [Rating: 8/10] The children in this drama is very adorable and interesting especially the little boy Kento. He kept on asking lots of silly questions but that's the theme of this drama No? |
11. | Comments by Sakebitosan [Rating: ?/10] Great philosophical message (i.e., Reason and innovation must be nurtured and defended against those who would try to crush them,) brilliant writing and acting. |
12. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 5/10] This was about a first grade kid and his class. That also appeared to be their target audience. |

14. | Comments by marspeach [Rating: 6/10] Cute show for kids. Don't expect much. Ito Misaki is still a horrible actress. |
