| 1. | Cute, yet nothing special [Rating: 6/10] It's a nice, typical idea. As the relationship between father and daughter are usually a strong one, this drama touches base on the experience some people have with their own children. We don't know how our kids think, we don't know what they are doing, nor do we understand the things they understand in life. This story is nice on fulfilling a lost father-daughter relationship.
The only issue with the drama, other than that it was short, is that there wasn't too much of new material going on. There were funny parts and interesting parts, but nothing was really settled and the relationship between Kenta-senpai and Kome was typical and cheesy.
I have to say that for a drama it was ok, but as a way to attract the viewers, it did not do so well, the plot was quite predictable and there are many more things they maybe should have done. Though with the way the story/title is, it's hard to have room for improvement... | Reviewed by Kirari Ililah on 21 September 2007 | 2. | A Light, Fun Drama [Rating: 7/10] Will you remember this drama the day after you see it? Probably not. But it was fun while it lasted.
This drama has an interesting plot, but it was rushed and wasn't set up properly. The first episode is almost a joke in the way everything is slapped together.
However, the events that take place throughout the drama are very entertaining and I even found myself laughing out loud at some very hilarious parts. Because the drama is short, and because the content is light (and somewhat heart-warming), the drama carries enough substance to stimulate you while watching.
Tachi Hiroshi does a great job acting like a teenaged girl, and Aragaki Yui really surprised me with her acting ability. They were both convincing in their roles and made the drama a delight. | Reviewed by Wynter on 11 December 2007 | 3. | Fun comedy with good acting [Rating: 9/10] Indeed, as it was said above, the scenario lacks a bit in originality, but if you take it like a fun comedy, I think that it really does the trick. All actors are good, including Tachi and Aragaki who manage to preserve the comedy and still act seriously enough so that it is believable.
I really had a good time watching it. The pace was good, there was a good progression through the 7 episodes - I liked that they did not try to extend it to 10 or 11 episodes like they always do, this kept the pace going. I also like when a Dorama has a surprise at the end of each episode to make you want to start the next one right away
All in all a lot of good laughs that you should not overlook. | Reviewed by Jackykero on 28 March 2008 | 4. | Great Drama! [Rating: 9/10] This was in my opinion the best drama for this season. The acting was great, ESPECIALLY the dad. Though the storyline may not have been the most "original" (like Freaky Friday but MUCH better), I thought that it was great! It kept me wanting for more, and I was sad that there were only 7 episodes! But all in all, a very entertaining drama! | Reviewed by m3lz on 11 September 2007 | 5. | Better than expected [Rating: 8/10] I was not very excited to see this because it is a very old plot line of a parent and child swapping bodies and living each others life. I started watching and could not stop though. This is really well done with some very funny situations and some fun acting too. If you need a good laugh you could do far worse than this little drama. | Reviewed by MonsterZero-65 on 19 October 2009 | 6. | Pretty Average [Rating: 5/10] An average, pretty routine story with a recycled plot. Aragaki fans will see plenty of her, but this drama is one you'll forget the day after you finish it (as i'm struggling to remember it now!). Its not all bad - i think the dad did a reasonable job playing a teenage girl. You're not missing much. | Reviewed by dekatrain on 31 August 2007 | 7. | Best Dorama!! [Rating: 10/10] Thumbs up to both Tachi and Gakki!! And also the supporting actors and actresses. Tachi really acts like a high school student and Gakki acts so mature!!! And the drama teaches audience to appreciate our parents and parents should understand their children!! Bravo!!! | Reviewed by opospa on 17 November 2007 | 8. | Fun Comedy [Rating: 9/10] This is really a delightful comedy. I couldn't stop laughing. The story was good as well. Kudos to Gaki and Tachi Hiroshi, they really played their parts well. The only complaint I had was that being only 7 episodes long it felt a little too short. | Reviewed by mrsmith10 on 15 June 2011 | 9. | Great light hearted humour [Rating: 10/10] Even though it had a rehashed plot, it was still a lot of fun to watch. Plenty of interesting and funny moments. Tachi and Aragaki gave really good performances. I usually don't give 10's but I really enjoyed this one. | Reviewed by Kugashira on 18 November 2007 | 10. | nothing special but it's still watchable. [Rating: 7/10] cute. dorama version of freaky friday, only it's father-daugher so the dynamics are a bit different. but the actor who played dad was right on the money. gakky is her usual cute self. it's a short series, only 7 episodes. | Reviewed by weetzie_bat on 27 April 2009 | 11. | Relationship between father and daughter [Rating: 8/10] The idea wasn't original but the story was great, about the relationship between father and daughter which was getting worse day by day..just like my father and me. | Reviewed by ester_grace on 23 December 2010 |

All in all a lot of good laughs that you should not overlook. | 2. | Comments by nishishi [Rating: 9/10] Really funny... With a wonderful casting....
The show has some minors problems that annoyed me a lot... but in the end i loved this dorama.. So far one of the best that ive watched on 2007.... (loosing to Proposal Daisakusen)
Aragaki Yui's acting skills really surprised me... Altough Hiroshi~san really steals the show!!! He's an amazing actor... I really like to see more of his works. (looking for them right now... WOWWWW... he plays Oda Nobunaga!!! =^^=)
A really good dorama.... I wouldn't had complained if they made it a little longer... really worth a try.... | 3. | Comments by Inujun [Rating: 7/10] The main concept isn't that fresh and the plot is pretty much mediocre as well, but it manages to be entertaining nonetheless and doesn't overuse its jokes too much by dragging the series out. Kawahara dad and daughter did their jobs well although the dad left a much stronger image due to having to act as a 16 year old, he was funny enough though.
Some of the other characters were underdeveloped but since this drama's main motive is to tell the relationship between dad and daughter, it didn't matter.
Overall an enjoyable watch | 4. | Comments by oonqy [Rating: 9/10] is short and sweet !! ~
other than jus being funnie , seeing the r/s between the daughter and father is sthg worth watching in the drama.
though i feel shige din haf much scene in here, but his character is interesting.
The key point of the drama would be seeing Yui acting as an ojisan and the father (4get his name) acting as a teenager and went KYA~
got to watch this ! | 5. | Comments by UsopSama [Rating: 7/10] The lives of a high school girl and her salary-man father are swapped. The story goes through their struggles they experience as they live the other person's life. The plot is very interesting but the story is rushed. I mean, they could have made it an 11-episode series. The acting is pretty terrible, but the terrible acting lightens up the plot in a ridiculous and funny way. | 6. | Comments by serebi [Rating: 6/10] This drama plot has been used many times before, I can say for example Change (1998), it executes it in a funny way that makes it enjoyable nevertheless. It has its funny moments but nothing that will remain with you for long. Great theme song, very cute. Yui Aragaki is so very pretty and the teen-like acting of papa has its good moments | 7. | Comments by abelcmcr [Rating: 6/10] his drama plot has been used many times before, I can say for example Change (1998), it executes it in a funny way that makes it enjoyable nevertheless. A good series, with a decent story, some character development, and thankfully the drama never tries to be more than it ought to be. | 10. | Comments by tachan [Rating: 7/10] Really good at first, but kind of got repetitive near the end. Since it's a father and daughter who switch places this time, it is very awkward. This drama does have some laugh-out-loud moments and the actor for the father does a really good job-- he has no shame haha. | 11. | Comments by Ezalor [Rating: 8/10] Wow, good one. This Dorama was silky-smooth to watch. No flaws, dense story, nearly top notch acting, very funny. There's a lesson to learn and you get good entertainment. You think this role change theme ist chewed out and lame, but this Dorama was really, really fresh. | 12. | Comments by opospa [Rating: 10/10] Thumbs up to both Tachi and Gakki!! The dad character is hilarious when he slips into teenage girl mode. 7 episodes is just nice, imo. Sada Mayumi's acting is quite horrible, I wanted to fast forward her scenes. | 14. | Comments by venuskarura [Rating: 10/10] even though the plot is rather old, this drama is still refreshing and fun to watch. I don't know any of the actors but honestly i think they did a great job :) this drama is well balanced and quite heart warming <3 it made me miss my dad too | 15. | Comments by Kitsuchi [Rating: 8/10] Funny, interesting and exciting plot. It was interesting watching Shigeaki's acting since he hasn't done much dramas yet. It's a funny comedy worth watching when you want to watch something short and funny to enjoy and smile with ^_^ | 16. | Comments by tabana [Rating: 8/10] Short and sweet. This story is more than 100 years old and has been done countless times, but this adaptation turns out quite good.
Everything is kind of predictable, but still entertains nicely. ^_^ | 17. | Comments by moonchyld [Rating: 8/10] enjoyable drama - had lots of laughs, weird moments, and important lessons to reflect upon.. the father was the one to deliver the whole drama, though aragaki had a decent performance too... | 18. | Comments by aiscess [Rating: 9/10] A very entertaining drama. The Dad carried the entire series. He's so amusing portraying a 16yo girl. I'm pretty much satisfied with it's ending. But it can be confusing for some viewers. | 19. | Comments by mknsenko [Rating: 9/10] I actually just watched this because of Kato. It's a FREAKY FRIDAY-storyline, but it was more interesting because the ones who switched weren't of the same gender. >DD | 20. | Comments by jiroukirihara [Rating: 8/10] entertaining... basically freaky friday.... The 2 main characters did a superb job of acting their roles... story was nothing spectacular, but the actors saved it | 21. | Comments by zenith777 [Rating: 9/10] Impressive, unique story and make your eyes opened that student struggle in school education while parent struggle in company and living cost....Funny :D | 22. | Comments by chibichan [Rating: 8/10] Japan version of Freaky Friday, many similarities but its always nice to watch this kind of dorama, somehow reminds me of my relationship with my father | 23. | Comments by linco [Rating: 6/10] it was a little boring. the concept was interesting. the dad is a really good actor, very believable and hilarious. the plot was rather boring tho. | 24. | Comments by marspeach [Rating: 8/10] Expected it to be LOL and although it was funny it was a touching family show. I should get my dad and sister to watch it since they don't get along. | 25. | Comments by emina45 [Rating: 5/10] Its interesting plot caught my attention, and there were some parts at the beginning of the drama. However, soon it became a little dry and ordinary. | 26. | Comments by butterLiLy [Rating: 8/10] This is one fun drama. I loved it!! Taichi Hiroshi was superb as a daughter trapped in her father's body. Probably my faves of the season. | 27. | Comments by xerith [Rating: 8/10] Not particularly original but still fun to watch. Aragaki looks cute and pretty here, much better than her boring character in Code Blue. | 28. | Comments by Angry Machines [Rating: 7/10] A very great and entertaining family drama evolving around trading places and sacrifice between family memebers. I Recommened it! | 29. | Comments by UetoAyaFanboy [Rating: 8/10] The concept is awesome. Very funny drama all the way through. The situations are hilarious. Good performance of the cast... | 30. | Comments by Maiuuri [Rating: 10/10] Brilliant father daughter show, the actors certainly carried the show. the plot was funny and the characters even funnier. |
