11 Nin mo Iru! [11人もいる!] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) An oddly entertaining drama. There are some really hilarious moments that cracked me, and the drama is not too bad if you just skip over all of the boring life lesson sections. | Anego [アネゴ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) One of the best dramas I've ever watched. It seemed very real and unpretentious, yet still has it's outrageous funny moments. Would recommend especially to females since it doesn't seem like a guy's kind of drama =P | Antique [アンティーク〜西洋骨董洋菓子店] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) The cakes are really good, though the plot is, for the most part, too cheesy, unrealistic, and B-O-R-I-N-G. Disappointing. |
Around 40 [アラウンド40] Rating: 7/10 The drama is based around an interesting premise, though I'm a little undecided on whether it's actually a good drama or a bad drama. I think I've seen too many disappointing dramas lately that my standards have been lowered. In any case, this would definitely not count as an entertaining drama but might be worth watching if you liked Kekkon Dekinai Otoko. The dramas deals with interesting issues for women around 40 (whether married or single), but also tries to keep the tone as lighthearted as possible. I would recommend this drama to anyone who is disappointed with the recent slew of horribly mediocre dramas. | Atashinchi no Danshi [アタシんちの男子] Rating: 6/10 Watched first episode. Interesting premise though the script and the acting is a little cliche. Not sure I'm going to finish the whole thing. | Atsu-Hime [篤姫] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Boring at the beginning, gets interesting once Atsuhime marries the shogun, but goes back to the same boring lull once the shogun dies. I loved the interaction between Okatsu and her family so I was sad when she moved away and never saw her family again. There continued to be touching scenes between her and members of her new family (new dad, Ikushima, Iesate), but the series might as well have ended when Ikushima left the ooku since the most important people in her life have pretty much all left her. The only heartwarming scene left in the last half of the drama was when she encountered Naogoro again after not seeing him for many years.
Throughout the series, Atsuhime is noted as an interesting, out-of-the-box thinker, a smart woman for the era, but her intelligence was not portrayed well. Sure, she might have appeared to be a relatively smart lady, but most of the time, she's just hanging around, contemplating one thing or another, and not really doing anything. There was maybe one moment in the whole drama when I commended her on her smart move. There was also no logical development in her relationship with Shogun Iesate nor any good reason for why she suddenly became really close to Iemochi (neither did she seem old enough to be his mother).
On a separate note, if there is one actor I hated in the series, it's got to be Horikita Maki for her expressionless acting. She looked weird with a capital w. I mean caterpillars as brows and a radioactive-looking lipcolor does nothing for a woman's appearance. Yes, Takiyama also had scary makeup, but at least it had a form of aesthetics in the scariness (Nana, anyone?), whereas Kazunomiya's makeup was just plain scary and ugly. The other majorly wooden character was the guy who played Iemochi. I didn't feel touched at all by the interaction between him and Atsuhime. Everything felt forced and the fact that he called her mother weirded me out at first since they seem to be about the same age. Also, all of Kazunomiya's posse from Kyoto were irritating. I guess they were supposed to act that way, so in that sense their acting was great.
EDIT: Although the drama was slow and dragged out, it ended on an impressive note. I almost cried my eyes out in the last episode ~>.<~ It's just so sad that Atsuhime lived on while so many of her friends and family died before her, I was especially heartbroken when Naogoro died. For the extremely touching ending, I've upped the rating to 7 ^^ |
Bara no nai Hanaya [薔薇のない花屋] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Great first episode, went downhill for a couple of episodes and then picked up with interesting twists in the plot. | Beach boys [ビーチボーイズ] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) I don't understand why I like it, but I do ^.^ The story is a bit too sentimental, but nonetheless makes me want to go to the beach and live in a bed and breakfast place! | Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Good romance drama! So sad yet touching. Really makes me cherish the life that I have. |
Big wing [ビッグウイング] Rating: 1/10 (Bought) What can I say...major cheesiness. Why?!! Why do they put Kashiwabara in such a stupid dorama?!!! | Bijo ka Yajuu [美女か野獣] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Don't know why this is isn't that popular...it should be! Love the mystery of their relationship between the two main characters that was slowly unraveled through the whole drama. | Boku to Star no 99 Nichi [僕とスターの99日] Rating: 7/10 Kim Tai Hi (not even sure if I spelled her name correctly) is so pretty! The show does get boring after a while though. The best character is Ganmo, love him. |
BOSS Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Old theme with a new twist. I like the cast and shooting style more than the story, though I applaud the story for having a mix of suspense and humor to keep things somewhat interesting but still lighthearted. The storyline kept on getting more and more cliche and cheesy, but episode 10 brought a new twist that really came out of no where and took me by surprise. I thought it was going to have a dramatic ending based on what happened in episode 10, but the ending turned out to be hilarious, which I think goes along better with the rhythm and flow of the entire dorama. So the surprising ending plus the appearance of Sorimachi Takeshi in episodes 10 and 11 made it semi-worthwhile to watch the entire show for me. Love the Beach Boys reunion!!! ^^ | BOSS Season 2 Rating: 6/10 I watched the first few episodes, but got really turned off by the increasingly ridiculous plot. Anything that I liked in the first season was completely overshadowed by the things I didn't like. | Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei [コード・ブルー] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Mediocre medical drama that kept me entertained during a mediocre drama season. Not something I'd want to rewatch, but love the ending song by Mr. Children. |
Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) A wonderfully developed story. Don't think there was a single episode that was boring or meaningless. Definitely one of the greatest j-dramas I've ever seen in my opinion. Love the chemistry between Takenouchi and Hirosue and the selection for the cast, although Hirosue's acting was horrible in terms of crying scenes. EDIT: In retrospect, a lot of it was quite cheesy. Maybe you'd like it if you are a high schooler? (since that was when I watched it) | Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 2/10 Cheesy and weird. I guess it's just too hard for me to relate ^^||| | Dr Koto - Shinryoujo 2006 [Dr.コトー診療所2006] Rating: 3/10 I couldn't get into the drama, possibly because I didn't watch the last season. Other than that, it is also a very slow and boring drama. As far as I could tell, there was not a single event in the first episode that caused any sort of plot progression. |
Engine [エンジン] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) I really liked the interaction between KimuTaku and the kids, but that's about it. It was an enjoyable show when I just watched the parts that involved all the kids at the orphanage, but I just can't bring myself to watch the drama in its entirety (especially where KimuTaku and Koyuki pretend to be interested in each other and have "deep" conversations...eck, cheesy!) The only touchy feely part of the drama I enjoyed was when KimuTaku said goodbye to the kids in ep 8. Other than that, the funny parts are the only reason I finished this drama (after a 3 yr hiatus =P). | Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! [エラいところに嫁いでしまった!] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I love Matsusaka Keiko, she's such an awesome actress. The plot of the drama was great sometimes, but also kind of gets old after a while. I got really sick of all the characters thinking Kimiko is so great =P The good parts of the drama are its hilarious and touching moments. The downside is that there are also A LOT of cheesy moments (eeuck). I kind of started to like the theme song, but unfortunately, I can't find anywhere to download it >.< | Freeter, Ie o Kau. [フリーター、家を買う。] Rating: 6/10 I never finished the series, but it seems like a decent story. I think I liked the first episode, but I didn't really like it enough to warrant watching the series until the end. |
Friends [フレンズ] Rating: 2/10 (Bought & Watched) Ehh...Fukada Kyoko is really cute...but she also has very bad acting skills. I really cannot stand another minute of her widening her eyes and giving this "I'm so innocent, what are you talking about?" look. Also, she is probably the first Japanese actress I've seen with such heavy eye makeup on in a drama. Won Bin deserves better!! The storyline is also pretty typical; the supposedly "sad" or "touching" parts are almost comical because they are sooooo overdone and cheesy (e.g. hugging in the rain, all that Christmas light at the end). Plus, their conversations were sometimes a bit stupid 'cause one person would talk in Korean and the other would talk in Japanese. And then occassionally Fukada Kyoko would repeat what she said in Japanese in her horrible-sounding Korean. Uck! So bad and so boring, I was falling asleep half way through the drama, so glad this is short =P | Galileo [ガリレオ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Interesting show that seems more like the American style of TV shows where each episode is a stand-alone story. Kept me entertained but there wasn't anything special about it, though there are some pretty hilarious moments. I think I only finished it for the shallow reason of wanting to see Fukuyama Masaharu. | Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) Fairly disappointed by this j-drama. Very funny at times but thought it was also quite pretentious and not nearly as good as GTO. A bit too unrealistic for my taste. Really loved its theme song, nonetheless. |
GOLD Rating: 6/10 (Watched) I like seeing Sorimachi Takeshi again, and Amami Yuki is the same as always (for better or worse), but the story is just so-so. There are some interesting developments, but this is definitely not a story that blew me away. For me, this drama falls into the same category as the multitude of dramas released every season that tries too hard to make things seem inspirational and ends up being cliche and cheesy. | Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) Very good! Really like the story and the cast, especially Kuroki Hitomi and Tsutsumi Shinichi. Takuya's character is a bit too typical tho and there just seems to be some it factor lacking for me, thus the reason I didn't give it a higher rating. | GTO [麻辣教師] Rating: 8/10 Funny and touching at times, makes me want to watch it over and over again! |
Hachimitsu to Kuroba [ハチミツとクローバー] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) Decided to watch the series since I absolutely loved the manga (one of the funniest I've read in a long time) but didn't have a great experience with the Chinese drama (stuck to the manga's story and had some great actresses, but mainly the acting was not so great). I turned to the Japanese version in hopes of seeing better acting and the amazing Kashiwabara Takashi ^^
For the most part, the acting is better, but the story is too different from the manga for my liking, particularly because the J-drama is much less funny and lighthearted than the manga. The drama plot is typical of college dramas and focuses on the complex relationships among the students and how they chase/find their dreams. So although at first the drama was pretty enjoyable and funny, soon enough, the story becomes too dragged out and cliche (the Romaiya-senpai thing was funny the first two times, not so much after the 10th).
I was really impressed with Ikuta Toma since he did a great job making himself a completely different person from the role he portrays in Voices (the only other drama I've seen him in), which convinced me he's a great actor. However, I'm not so positive about Narumi Riko's performance.
Overall, this was a fairly mediocre and disappointing drama. Although Orange Days did not rank high in my books either, as another mediocre college drama that I've watched, it was still better in comparison to this (incidentally, it also features Nariyama Hiroki and Kashiwabara Takashi though I can't remember Kashi's role).
Summary: WATCH the MANGA, DON'T WATCH either of the DRAMA versions. | Haken no Hinkaku [ハケンの品格] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Not bad, but not great either. The overall plot is pretty boring and predictable, but I would watch it for the entertainment value and its hilarious moments. It is different kind of role for Shinohara Ryoko as compared to her other dramas. Best thing about the drama: the theme song "Mienai Hoshi" by Nakashima Mika *thumbs up* | Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) Okay, better than Meteor Garden IMO ('cause the actors can actually act for a change, tho many are not that much better) I applaud Inoue Mao's performance, I think she's really the only who stood out in the drama, all the other main characters were only so-so (...unless you count Matsushima Nanako, who was as great as usual ^^) It started great, but slowed down and became worse and worse as the story progressed. My favorite episode was the third one when Matsushima Nanako appeared ^^ I love that scene when she's talking to her little brother in his room...so funny ^o^ |
Hanawake no Yon Shimai [華和家の四姉妹] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I'm such a sap for family-related stories. There were a lot of touching moments in the drama, but at the same time, a lot of developments didn't make any sense. For example, why would Sakurako suddenly forgive Takemi towards the end. There was little to no justification provided in the story. Although it's easy for me to like Takemi as a viewer since I see her sensitive side, if I were Sakurako, it would probably take a long time for me to forgive Takemi for stealing my boyfriend when I was little then stealing my boyfriend again after we're both adults. Then again, I would probably also never forgive Mashiko, that *******. The whole Yamane kaisha conflict also seem like a random side plot that contributed nothing to the main storyline and was only used to fill in time. | Hataraki Man [働きマン] Rating: 3/10 Only watched the first episode because it was so boring -.-||| | Hero Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Not so much romance and not very exciting, but still a decently good drama! |
Hotaru no haka [蛍の墓] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) An extremely touching story. I'm glad that they decided to portray the live-action version with a different perspective so that the audience can also sympathize with the aunt (who can hate Matsushima Nanako anyway, right?). The amazing acting of Nanako and the little girl really carried the show. I think I cried for pretty much the entire duration of the movie ~>.<~ | Hotaru no Hikari [ホタルノヒカリ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) I absolutely love this drama! It is definitely the best romantic comedy since Anego. The chemistry between Fujiki and Haruse was great even though, to me, they were more like family/siblings/close friends than a couple. I really wanted to see the two of them dating instead of having the show end where it did, but I also can't imagine the two of them kissing or doing other couple-y stuff...it's almost like incest >.< I think all of the cast was great in the show, except for the lack of acting by the guy who played Makoto. Good thing that he's at least ikemen =P The ending song by Aiko is also great. Just like how Kitade Nana's Kiss or Kiss fitted Anego perfectly and Every Little Thing's Swimy fitted Kekkon Dekinai Otoko perfectly, Aiko's Yokogao was great for Hotaru no Hikari. I'm really hoping that the producers will decide to make a good SP with some more plot progression....kyaaaaa! | Hotaru no Hikari Season 2 [ホタルノヒカリ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Definitely not as good as the first season, though Buchou's competition is stronger this time! I think the drama was good around the middle of the season, but both the beginning and the end were rather weak. Pretty disappointed, but I guess I had high expectations ^^"' |
Hotman [ホットマン] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) A bit cheesy, but overall a feel good drama. I would not like it as much if it weren't for the cute little girl. The ending is a bit unsatisfying. It was like the writer of the drama had no more to write so he/she just ended the drama...in other words, abrupt ending with no closure. | Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Truly outstanding. Everyone did a good job acting-wise and the story moves along at a good pace (not fast, but just fast enough ^^) The story is very aptly named as I've probably cried one liter of tears by the time I finished the drama. I pretty much cried at some point or another in every episode except for the first. I also like it 'cause it concentrated on both Aya's family, friends, and love life, unlike Sekai No Chuushin which mostly only concentrated on the main character's love life. It's a truly inspirational story that I'd recommend to everyone. | Innocent Love [イノセント・ラヴ] Rating: 6/10 Interesting premise, love the mystery, but tends to be overly melodramatic. Also, the story seems to develop way too slowly; just watching the first episode bored me out of my mind. Nonetheless, the mystery of who really killed Kanon's parents intrigued me so I skipped all the in between episodes and went straight to watching the second-to-last episode after the first. Very glad I made that decision... An interesting side note: the opening credit scenes appear VERY similar to those of Last Friends, complete with shots of the main characters with their assigned emotions and an English word beside them as they portray that emotion. This observation may not be so surprising considering the two dramas share the same scriptwriter. However, the similarity is practically screaming Last Friends the Sequel =P |
Iryu Season 2 [医龍 2] Rating: 3/10 I think it's hard for me to get into this drama since I haven't watch the first season or read the manga. Only watched the first episode, but it seems like a really slow story with too much focus on the skills of the surgeon for my liking. (I didn't really enjoy the whole hype about the batista thing...thought that was kind of cheesy) | Itazura na Kiss [イタズラなKiss] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) Really funny in the outrageous manga way in the first half, but as the plot developed, story became a bit draggy and super cheesy. I only finished it for the hotness of Kashiwabara ^^ | Itsumo futari de [いつもふたりで] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Was good at first, got kind of tedious as the story progressed >.< The cast was pretty good, especially Matsu Takako and Kashiwabara Takashi, but the drama didn't have a good focus...kind of wavered between focusing on Mizuho's career or her life with childhood friend Hachi. |
JIN [JIN-仁-] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) A drama with an interesting premise and a plotline that generally keeps moving along. That's not to say that this drama doesn't have any slow moments; in fact, the conversations between Jin Sensei and Saki can sometimes be painfully slow. In addition, this drama can also lean towards melodramatic at times (way too much crying, anyone?). Still, the cast, particularly the leads and the older generation actors, was excellent, and the music definitely helped to put the audience in the mood of the drama. Surprisingly, I also liked the open ended ending, which, IMO, allows the audience to decide for themselves what happened in the end. Then, of course, I hear that there's going to be a sequel, which I am afraid may be the downfall of the drama ^^"' (I have never seen an excellent j-drama sequel ever. Kyumei Byoto 2 and 3 may be the closest thing...) | JIN Season 2 Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I enjoyed the first season, but like many sequels, the second season didn't live up to my expectations. The acting by most of the male cast was overly dramatic, which made the plot seem cheap and cheesy. The female cast, including Ayase Haruka, Aso Yumi, and Nakatani Miki, were excellent in comparison. Throughout the season, I grew to dislike the main character Minakata Jin more and more. Thankfully, the surprising ending redeemed the season somewhat. | Joshi Deka! [ジョシデカ!] Rating: 3/10 Cheesy and boring. Not much to say. A big disappointment despite Nakama Yukie being the lead >.< |
Kaseifu no Mita [家政婦のミタ] Rating: 6/10 I started watching because of the rave reviews and Matsushima Nanako. The story was really just too weird and slow for me though. | Kekkon Dekinai Otoko [結婚できない男] Rating: 7/10 I love the theme song "Suimii" by Every Little Thing ^_^ The plot is pretty creative, though I still got a bit sick of the reoccurring theme of the main character being inept in social skills after a while. Kuninaka Ryoko is pretty cute, and I like the lady who's the lead's coworker, she was great as the evil lady in Nyokei Kazoku and as a single working woman in this drama. | Kimi Hannin Janai yo ne? [キミ犯人じゃないよね?] Rating: 2/10 Majorly cheesy and stupid. The female lead's multiple occupation is pretty funny though, considering how her entire appearance pretty much changes with whatever she's doing. |
Kindaichi shonen no Jikenbo (2005) [金田一少年の事件簿] Rating: 3/10 (Watched) Horrible. Acting, the look of the set, makeup...all horrible. I don't understand why the vampire looks like a mummy, tho it still kind of freaked me out. | Konkatsu! [婚カツ!] Rating: 5/10 Finished the first episode, but I'm pretty sure I won't keep watching. Though the premise is somewhat interesting, the story develops a little too slowly and is pretty bland IMO. I feel like close to nothing happened in the first episode, and I have no idea where this drama is going. | Koori no sekai [冰の世界] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Really intense...love Nanako! |
Koshonin [交渉人] Rating: 3/10 Sorry to Ryoko fans, but Yonekura Ryoko can't act to save her life. That plus a horribly cheesy and overly dramatic script means Koshonin = something you should not watch unless you are bored out of your mind. Sorry, if my personal opinion is offensive to anyone, but I just can't imagine anybody thinking that this is a genuinely good drama...Unless the person's definition of a good drama is seeing a hot girl in tight clothing pretending to be professional ^^||| | Kurosagi [クロサギ] Rating: 2/10 Horrible. Horrible story. Horrible dialogue. Extreeeemely horrible acting. How did anyone get through the entire series? I had problems just getting through one episode -.-||| | Kyumei byoto 24 ji [救命病棟24時] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Very impressed! Started kind of slow at first but the intensity increased substantially as the plot developed. Each episode has its own plot but still contributes to the overall plot of the series. Really enjoyed the performance by Eguchi Yosuke and Matsushima Nanako. I did not like Eguchi from Tokyo Love Story, but this totally change my perspective of him. |
Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji Season 2 [救命病棟24時 2] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) Very good sequel to the first one. Too bad there's no Matsushima Nanako in the plot, but the new female lead did well too. Eguchi Yosuke is, of course, as good as ever ^.^ | Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji Season 3 [救命病棟24時 3] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Went off to a great start, but overall a bit anticlimatic due to the amazing start. The initial episodes after the earthquake were true tearjerkers, but after a while, it just wasn't touching anymore and became quite boring. However, they did really well in staying with the overall theme of coping with a major disaster, and I guess it couldn't be helped that it was anticlimatic if the story was meant to show people's strength in overcoming the problems in the aftermath of the disaster. It is also worth mentioning that this series is not as cheesy as Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji 2 were in some episodes. Nonetheless, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of a great ending. Also, I'm a bit fan of Matsushima Nanako and has admired Eguchi Yosuke's previous works, but they didn't really shine in this drama. If anyone, it's the young ones that acted well and really showed a depth of character. I think it is mostly the script writer's problem tho. He/she should've further developed the character of Kojima and Shindo rather than just having them be the "cool" doctors that always knew what to do and was calm and collected. So, all in all, a pretty good drama, but I had higher expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if most j-drama lover's find this to be boring after the first two episodes. | Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji Season 4 [救命病棟24時 4] Rating: 6/10 I'll admit, I only became interested in watching the drama because I really miss seeing Matsushima Nanako on TV. After watching the first episode, I'm certain Nanako-san is also going to be the only reason I'll continue to watch this show IF I do decide to continue. Perhaps it's because I've matured, but the fourth season just seems to be so much more cheesy and unrealistic than the first three seasons (not that the other three were necessarily realistic =P). |
Last Christmas [ラストクリスマス] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Pretty much just a funny, cute, heart-warming romantic comedy that had a typical "happily-ever-after" ending. Some of it was a bit cliche, but I really like how the two main characters were able to trust each other when they were in love, whereas in a typical romance drama, the two main characters would develop a series of misunderstandings about each other through the whole drama and kept the audience frustrated for their stupidity >.< It's kind of bad, but I got hooked onto Oda Yuji's version of Last Christmas, it's just too catchy, even though he has a bit of a Japanese accent =P (not as bad as when he talks in English tho) | Last Friends [ラスト・フレンズ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I'm kind of torn. It was good sometimes but horrible at other times. I love the whole concept but I suppose it could've been executed better. And the SP was totally lame; to think that they would just air a synopsis of the series the week after the series finale, tsk tsk tsk. LOVE the theme song though. Utada Hikaru is a genius ^^ | Liar Game [ライアーゲーム] Rating: 3/10 Interesting plot but poor acting and horrible script. |
LIFE [ライフ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) A pretty good drama for a mediocre cast. It was one of those dramas that kept you entertained while watching, but would not make you want to watch it over and over again. I think if it wasn't for the shock factor of the story and the shortness of each episode, I wouldn't have watched till the end. And a plus for the male audience is the shortness of the girls' skirts, those definitely seem a bit too short to be within regulations... | Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Rating: 3/10 (Bought & Watched) Way overrated....Great theme song though ^_^ | Love generation [ラブジェネレーション] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) Pretty good, but still not as good as I thought it would be. Overrated IMO. |
Love Shuffle [ラブシャッフル] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Interesting premise and a great cast. The drama as a whole is pretty entertaining, though it does have its unbearably cheesy moments. The main reason why this drama doesn't get a higher score from me is due to its sometimes slow and/or completely illogical plot development. For example, I never really understood who was the one Mei really liked or if she actually liked both men at the same time. Even though some of the love story plot lines were really crappy, I absolutely adored the pairing of O-chan and Kairi. I thought Kikuri's story was the saddest, and the scene where O-chan talks to Kikuri in the last episode was truly the most touching moment in the drama (I cried ~>.<~). Also, I love the puppy that Kei adopts towards the end!! It's definitely too cute to look like a puppy that was abandoned though. The panda jokes are also great, especially "frying pan da" and "Japan da!" ^o^ Too bad the ending was rather disappointing... | Lucky Seven [ラッキーセブン]
Watching... | Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王] Rating: 6/10 (Bought & Watched) Disappointed...plot was okay and kind of cute at times, but a bit too unrealistic and cheesy. (Side note: I wish Natsumi would get together with that someone called Junzanburo...~>.<~) |
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) Nothing special, kind of tedious. Reflected upon the society's faults, but that didn't make me like the drama. | Majo Saiban [魔女裁判] Rating: 6/10 I'm not sure what to think. I feel like it's pretty clear where the overall plot is going, but I guess the producers/script writers do a fairly good job of maintaining an aura of suspense around each event that happens. I think the filming technique and the acting is a little cliche, though. Might turn out to be an okay drama, but I'm just not in the mood right now for such an involved story. | Meitantei Conan: Sayonara Made no Prologue [名探偵コナン- 工藤新一への挑戦状] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) This really would have a much lower rating if it wasn't for the fact that it is a Conan movie. Sadly, I don't think any main character in this drama special can act (particularly Oguri Shun), which contributed to the entire downfall of the drama. The story on the whole wasn't too bad, though I guess the whole tone and the speed of plot progression is more suitable for a manga than for a drama. |
MR. BRAIN Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I watched the first episode when it first came out, but I was really disappointed so I never bothered to continue following the drama. After seeing all of the rave reviews, I decided to give it another try, which was a good decision since the drama does get better after the first episode. Still, I think the good part of the drama is mostly because of the amazing guest stars as opposed to the main cast. Gackt was probably the criminal that freaked me out the most, though I'm not sure if that's attributable to his acting skills =P Kamenashi Kazuya really impressed me with his performance so my opinion of him has certainly gone up due to this drama. He also looks less girly with glasses on so that helps. My favorite guest star was Nakama Yukie who did an amazing job portraying a criminal with multiple personality disorder (or not). I wish she would star in more challenging roles like this instead of playing generic cheesy character in a cheesy drama 'cause she really is an extraordinary actress. Also, the last part of the last episode with Katori Shingo is really funny. Overall, I wouldn't say this was a particularly memorable drama, but it was decent and a good way to pass your time if you like crime/suspense dramas. Comparing this drama with others in a similar category though, I prefer Tantei Gailileo more. | Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Laughed and cried in every episode. Even though they do have some problems with their logic and it's totally cheesy, I still managed to like it due to Nagase's hotness =P | My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒロ] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) Cheesy but sometimes funny. |
My Girl [マイガール] Rating: 5/10 Great first 2-3 epsiodes, but the story slows down by the fourth. After a very disappointing 5th and 6th episode, I decided to stop watching since it's just a waste of time. Not only is the plot extremely bland, the interaction between the dad and the daughter becomes much less touching and much more cliche after watching the same thing over and over again for 5+ hours. In fact, both the dad and the little girl are starting to get on my nerves with their constant goody-two-shoe kind of image... Although the stories are not similar, but the dad-daughter story in Shiroi Haru is so much better (even though there is still room for improvement there as well). | My Little Chef Rating: 2/10 Only watched the first episode, but it's basically a typical cheesy cooking drama. | Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku [夏の恋は虹色に輝く] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) An entertaining light romance drama. Nothing truly excellent that stood out, but it was decent enough to follow for a season. Takeuchi Yuko is too cute! |
Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de [謎解きはディナーのあとで] Rating: 5/10 This show really just seemed like fan service for fans of the two leads. I watched the first episode and the case presented wasn't bad, but the way the story is presented is just so...boring. | Ningen no Shoumei [人間の証明] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Wow...this was a truly captivating drama. I finished this in one day, too. Very fast paced with lots twists in the plot...the muderer I guessed about halfway 2/3 of the way through the drama tho. It also got me thinking a lot about humanity and family values...ending made me cry like crazy. Also really liked the soundtrack although I think they probably should've just used the original American version of the ending song 'cause the Japanese guy has really bad pronunciation. I was also impressed by Takenouchi's English; he certainly had an accent, but he probably has the best English I've heard from any Japanese person by far =P I was a bit disappointed by the guy who plays Johnny tho; it's a bit weird when your character is black and was raised in America but speaks worse English than a Japanese character in the story (Takenouchi).....but that probably didn't matter to the majority of the Japanese audience =P Last note: really like the title of the series, very meaningful and thought-provoking ^.^ | Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Pretty good, reeeeeally funny, but is completely lacking in substance (as most high school dramas seem to be). There are some very special moments/scenes in this series that I will remember forever (like when Akira teaches Nobuko the "Nobuko Power chuunyu" scene, when Akira breaks a stack of stone blocks to warn Shuuji, and when Akira tells Nobuko that her hands are not dirty and puts one on his cheek) but the storyline/plot is mostly just okay. My favorite scenes all have to do with Akira, I think =P Yamapi is so cute in this series...I never used to like him much, but I'm liking him much more now that I've fallen in love with his character in this drama. Final note...Kame is so totally a girl (kind of not a good thing, I mean, he's nice looking, but a girl =P) |
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Enjoyed the first two episodes for their hilarity, but got sick of the cheesy happiness and very cliche plot after that. Tamaki is hot tho =P | Nyokei Kazoku [女系家族] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) A very serious drama. Kind of slow, but it has it's merits. | Ohitorisama [おひとりさま] Rating: 3/10 I was hoping this would live up to the standards of Anego, but it's definitely falling short. Seems like another cliche school story, like GTO but with an Anego twist. |
Onna Keiji Mizuki Season 2 [女刑事みずき 2] Rating: 1/10 Perhaps not a thorough review since I didn't even finish half of the first episode. Seems to be a mediocre story with a mediocre cast that has mediocre acting skills. Also, I have to say that I am a superficial person so I was hoping the lead would be a more attractive woman if nothing else...(I just like attractive leads in general) | Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Shibasaki Kou truly did a great job expressing herself through her sign language in this drama, she really impressed me. However, other than that, this series is just merely so-so at most...I had no trouble taking my time watching it. It didn't seem to make you want to keep watching and watching until you finish and there seems to be an 'it' factor lacking. Nonetheless, I would still recommend watching it. | Oyaji~ [オヤジぃ] Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched) Loved this drama in the beginning, but my love decreased as the drama went on. Thought it got a bit too dramatic with the woes of the family members. |
Pride [プライド] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) Only give it such high rating for the interaction between Haru and Aki that was really touching in certain episodes. Other than that, quite a disappointing dorama. (Side note: one of the hockey players in the story is Matsu Takako's brother!! o_O) | Puzzle [パズル] Rating: 3/10 Cheesy and stupid. Looks just like any other mediocre comedy detective drama. Ishihara Satomi is very cute, though =P | Real Clothes [リアル・クローズ] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) Interesting clothes, not so interesting plot. The similarities between this drama and The Devil Wears Prada is striking, though I'd have to say the script and the acting of this drama made the story more cheesy and less endearing than TDWP. I've always been a big fan of Kuroki Hitomi, but for some reason, her acting in this drama was very wooden, and does not match up at all to the level of Meryl Streep. I'm rather disappointed with this drama since I had high expectations for it. |
rinbukyoku [輪舞曲] Rating: 5/10 Much worse than I thought. There are some unpredictable/intriguing parts that makes you want to keep watching to see what happens, but usually that only happens towards the end of an episode. I watched all the episodes on d-addicts that have hardsubs but decided to not buy the drama even tho not all episodes are online b/c it's not good enough for me to want to buy it. Definitely not one of Takenouchi Yutaka's good performances, and I'm sick of Choi Ji Woo's "I'm shocked and sad" face....ugh >.< | Ruri no shima [瑠璃の島] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) Have only watched three episodes so far, but every episode has been a tear-jerker. Although Ruri was a brat in the beginning, gradually she became more and more likeable as she's accepted by the people of Hatomijima and finds people who truly care about her. Sometimes, the whole "love will conquer all" theme is a bit cliche, but for the most part, they did a great job ^.^ I'm also liking Takenouchi Yukata's little side story, which I'm actually more interested in than the main plot =P Especially after that scene where he runs into Sanae Sensei (Konishi Manami) and he looks up, and the audience and Sanae Sensei can see that he's been crying >.< Oh my god, Takenouchi Yukata is CRYING!!! Ahhh~ I can't stand it (in a good way) when hot guys cry ~~>.<~~ EDIT: The story gets much worse after the third episode...becomes way too majorly sappy it makes me want to vomit =P | Ryoma Den [龍馬伝] Rating: 7/10 So far I think I like it a little better than Atsuhime, but like all taiga dramas, it's a little slow at times. |
Ryusei no Kizuna [流星の絆] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) A drama that started great, lost its appeal about halfway through due to a lack of interesting developments, then picked up again around ep. 7/8, and finally ended on an extremely lame note. It really caught my attention at first because of its mix of drama and comedy. So naturally, when it became more predictable and a lot less funny, the story went downhill IMO. However, the intensified drama in some later episodes gave me hope that the drama will turn out good after all, but the ending, though a little surprising, was somewhat of a letdown. The killer's reason for killing the siblings' parents is just too lame no matter how I look at it. Nonetheless, points to siblings, but Ninomiya in particular, for their good acting; I feel like there are scenes when I can really see their inner struggle, which brought me to the verge of tears (but it wasn't quite there yet). I love the background music and the Nakashima Mika song they used in the drama, though her role in the drama was kind of pointless, confusing, and weird. | Sailor Fuku to Kikanju [セーラー服と機関銃] Rating: 6/10 Had a good start, but tries to include to much cheesy "important lessons of life" throughout the drama. Kind of like a GTO thing (i.e. fun, but needs to teach the audience a cheesy lesson with every episode). It's entertaining, but not for long. | Sapuri [サプリ] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) Something to watch if you are reaaaally bored (like I was). I really don't know how I endured through the whole drama...I must have been amazingly bored (it was a bad season IMO). Good songs for the drama, nonetheless, yay for Ayaka redeeming the drama ^^ |
Satomi Hakenden [里見八犬伝] Rating: 7/10 I watched a couple of episodes on TV, too bad I didn't get a chance to finish it >.< The acting is not top notch, but I like the story. The fighting scenes are also not as exciting as in Chinese films =P | Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) I must say...a definite tear jerker ~>.<~ I've cried at some point (sometimes more than once) in every episode since the 4th or 5th. The story got a bit slow at times, but there is always some scene in each episode that redeemed the slow bits. I was especially impressed with the ending...my favorite part was when bits of the grown-up life of Tomoyo, Ohki, and Bozu were shown...it was those moments that had me smiling amidst the tears that just wouldn't stop =P (ESPECIALLY memorable is the part with Ohki saying to his son "You can do whatever you like OMAE-SAN, just don't go to Yumejima with a girl you like" while the camera focuses in on the photo Ohki took of Saku and Aki asleep on the beach of Yumejima...gave me butterflies in my stomach *shudders*) | sekushii boisu ando robo [セクシーボイスアンドロボ] Rating: 5/10 Interesting premise and great acting by the leads, but the plot development was sometimes a bit slow and not completely engaging. |
Shika Otoko Aoniyoshi [鹿男あをによし] Rating: 3/10 Really weird. Tamaki Hiroshi's character kind of scares me, especially his voice ^^||| And he's getting skinny to the point that it's scary as well. | Shima Shima [シマシマ] Rating: 2/10 I thought the premise is pretty interesting, so decided to give the manga and this series a try. In both cases, I was disappointed with the slow pacing of the first episode/chapter so I never finished watching/reading. I used to like Yada Akiko, and though this is cruel to say, she's not young anymore so the way she acts doesn't work for a mature woman. Not to mention the thickness of her makeup is a little ridiculous. Maybe this is a lower budget series so the camera lens is less forgiving, but I really can't stand the cakey makeup that makes her look even older ^^"' | Shinzanmono [新参者] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Intriguing at first, it's definitely a different kind of detective drama. After reading that the writer for the novel on which this drama is based also wrote the original novels for Ryuusei No Kizuna and Tantei Gailileo, I can see the similarity between this drama and Ryuusei No Kizuna. I wouldn't have expected that same author also wrote Tantei Gailileo, though, since Gailileo seems like a more usual suspense drama. I think the novelty of the premise wears off after 4-5 episodes and starts to get a little draggy. Still, Abe Hiroshi carried his part extremely well (as usual) and I would say the drama is definitely still worth checking out. |
Shiroi Haru [白い春] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) This drama started off with a bang and ended with a bang. Although the plot was a bit slow at times in the middle, overall, this drama did not fail to bring tears and laughter to every episode. I'm pretty sure if I showed a recording of my behavior while watching this drama, everyone would think I'm crazy since I would be laughing so hard, but then after 10 minutes I would just start sobbing. The ending was really shocking and came out of absolutely nowhere. I think I would be much happier if they did a more normal or funny ending.
In regards to the acting/cast, I loved Abe Hiroshi's performance in this drama. Actually, I love everyone in the main cast of this drama since they all did a great job portraying their roles and bringing emotional depth to the story. Although, the child actress in the series was not the greatest at acting, she never failed to be cute so I can forgive her sometimes strained smiles =P (I'm starting to think that is just the way she normally smiles) I think my favorite character in the drama was probably Shiori, though, and it seems impossible to not like the actress who plays Shiori (Yoshitaka). Even when I saw her on a game show, she was really funny and cute ^^ | Shiroi kage [白い影] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) It was okay. Ending was a total shocker, but the whole drama was too depressing for me. I can stand depressing endings like Beautiful Days and Summer Snow, or a depressing drama with a happy ending like Koori No Sekai, but I cannot stand a whole entire depressing drama with a depressing ending like this one. Too much >< | Shiroi Kyoto [白い巨塔] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Surprisingly good...I was never a fan of depressing doramas, so even though I wasn't interested at first, I got caught on more and more as I watched this dorama. Too bad the set I was watching was a defective bootleg version so I missed a lot of episodes ~>.<~ Looooove Kuroki Hitomi and her character in this! |
Shota no sushi [将太の寿司] Rating: 2/10 (Bought) Ehhh....very very very disappointed. I shouldn't have had high expectations tho. I guess it was because I liked the manga and I love Kashiwabara so I thought this might have some merit. But no. Totally slaughtered the spirit of the manga. | Slow Dance [スローダンス] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) A very well-chosen title for this drama since it was VERY SLOW. Although it started out okay, I quickly realized that this was going to be a bad drama. I still watched the whole thing anyways because of the theme song, "Tokyo", by Fukuyama Masaharu...I could drown in his voice (well, only for this song tho). In short, don't watch the drama, but buy the single ^^ | SP [エスピー] Rating: 3/10 Only watched the first episode. Weird story plus not very interesting. A horrible waste of Tsutsumi Shinichi's good acting skills. |
Summer snow Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) Didn't think much of it at first, just so so, but made me cry so much afterwards because of the great ending ~>.<~ IMO the best ending to a drama that I've seen so far. I'll never forget the scene when Yuki was at first crying in the train, but soon she wipes away her tears and smiles as the ending theme "Natsu No Ousama" comes on (I hope it went like that, it's been a while... o_Oa). | Sunao ni Narenakute [素直になれなくて] Rating: 4/10 I started watching because of Ueno Juri and Eita, but the first few episodes were very disappointing. The whole set up reads like a knock off of Last Friends, except it's even worse than Last Friends. Won't be finishing. | Sushi Oji! [スシ王子!] Rating: 2/10 Hahaha, I have to say the lead's turtle thing is reeeeeeally hilarious. But that's only because I only watched about five minutes of the entire first episode, and not even the first five minutes. Other than his turtle thing, I personally didn't find anything else interesting in the story. |
Taiyou no uta [タイヨのうた] Rating: 3/10 Only watched 1 episode, but there was enough bad acting/dialogue to kill any possibility that I would watch the whole thing. Sawajiri Erika seems to have done an excellent job in 1 littoru no namida, but in retrospect, maybe it was 'cause it fit her personality better or something...I mean, she definitely did a horrible job in Taiyou no uta. Also, I think it would've been better if they just found another person to sing her song. She doesn't have a bad voice, but it's not good enough to make me want to listen to it =P | Tantei Gakuen Q [探偵学園Q] Rating: 1/10 Only watched the first episode. All I can say is, I really don't like watching a drama full of little people =P (especially little people who don't act that well *ahem* the lead *ahem*) Even the fact that it's a detective story can't save it from getting a 1. | Teppan Shoujo Akane [鉄板少女アカネ] Rating: 1/10 Really horrible drama...I have yet to watch a good live action drama about cooking. I thought Lunch No Jyou was not that great, but it's heaven compared to this. |
Tiger & Dragon [タイガー&ドラゴン] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) A totally random drama that's very entertaining, but has absolutely no value. Something to watch if you are in need of laughter. | Tokyo DOGS ~ Saiaku de Saiko no Partner [東京DOGS] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Ah, what a disappointment. Based on the suspense built up from the first half of this drama, I thought this might turn out to be pretty good, but the ending was rather disappointing. I think the plot was fairly good up until maybe episode 8 or so, by which point it got more and more illogical but predictable at the same time. I seriously thought there would be a more interesting relationship between Jinno and Yuki as well as a some hidden reason to her losing her memory. Also, the relationship between the three leads just got weirder and weirder. I can feel the comradery and the friendship among them, but I totally don't see any actual "love" kind of chemistry between So and Yuki or Maruo and Yuki. Nonetheless, I thought Oguri Shun did a fairly good job at acting except for the overly melodramatic parts when Jinno is concerned, but that just might be because of the poor script. Mizushima and Yoshitaka's acting were not quite as good though, and the melodramatic script for their parts certainly didn't help. It's really too bad that the scriptwriters came up with such an anticlimatic and horrible ending/explanation for everything since I would've given this drama a higher rating for a nice balance between the comedy and the serious plotting. | Tokyo Love Story [東京ラブストーリー] Rating: 3/10 (Bought & Watched) Because of its age, the fashion was horrible, I really couldn't stand it. Not only the clothes, but also their hair styles and Eguchi Yosuke's glasses...ugh. Memorable ending tho. Maybe could've been a good drama if not for the bad fashion trend at the time ^^
Tomorrow Rating: 4/10 I used to love Takenouchi, but this drama and Rondo completely destroyed my trust in his dramas. Just the first ten minutes of the first episode was enough to convince me that this drama was going to turn out too cheesy and melodramatic for my taste. I also had high hopes for Kanno Miho since I thought she did a great job in Watashitachi no Kyokasho, but this drama and Hataraki Man also destroyed my opinion of her. Quite disappointed... | Top Caster [トップキャスタ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Basically another cheesy profession-related drama. | Triangle [トライアングル] Rating: 5/10 I was actually very intrigued after watching the first episode; I thought this was going to turn out to be a great suspense drama. However, the cheesiness of the beginning of the second episode just completely destroyed any prospect of me actually finishing the whole series. Seriously, if all of their classmates knew that the character Hirosue Ryoko plays is the adopted daughter who took the name of the dead girl, then why the shocked faces at the end of the first episode? I guess I was expecting some really exciting explanation that I could not have possibly imagined, but all I got was a crappy, not even second-rate answer. Just from the first two episodes alone, I could tell that most of the drama was going to feel very forced and dragged on, and nothing exciting was going to happen until maybe the second to last episode. And I was right. Very disappointed. |
Trick [トリック] Rating: 4/10 (Bought) Ehh...only watched the first episode. Just not my kind of drama, way too weird and unstructured. | Unfair [アンフェア] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Wow...I crown this drama to be the best I've ever seen. The cast was great; all of them had superb acting skills. It helps, of course, that Shinohara Ryoko is the lead actress. Her other drama Anego is probably my second-favorite drama of all time. I loved the interaction between her and Kato Masaya, who also appeared in Anego. And the little girl is absolutely adorable!!! As for the story development, the plot was intense and mind-boggling, yet it all seemed to make sense at the end. Not to be cliche, but definitely kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time (or more like curled up in my chair for fear that the murderer will jump out the next second). Also, excellent ending song by Ito Yuna. I think the reason why I couldn't stop crying at the end was partly due to the ending and partly due to the lyrics of Ito's song. Definitely a must see!!!! | Untouchable [アンタッチャブル] Rating: 3/10 Yet another let down from Nakama Yukie. Everything about the story is just so illogical and cheesy. I think the scriptwriters tried to make it entertaining and suspenseful at the same time but failed completely on both counts. The "entertaining" parts are plain stupid, and the "suspenseful" parts are annoying, like they are dragging out the story on purpose. |
Voice [ヴォイス] Rating: 4/10 This drama sounded interesting from the press releases and trailer, but it just turned out to be another mediocre, cliche "police", investigate-a-case-and-solve-it kind of drama. Yes, the main characters are not police, but that just makes the whole set-up more illogical. Seriously, which medical resident will really have the time to go out and investigate the reasons why their "patients" died? I understand the need to dramatize things for TV, but this is just totally unreal. Not to mention that the characterization of each character was incredibly shallow. A complete let down. | Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu [私が恋愛できない理由] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) A slightly addictive drama that doesn't always make much sense. In the vein of Love Shuffle (though the premise is not as weird), it's a story about love and city life. Karina and Yoshitaka Yuriko are both excellent actresses. The leads' perspectives on love often frustrate me and developments in the plot are sometimes unnecessarily dramatic, but I guess that's what makes this a drama instead of real life =P I love Amuro Namie's Love Story song in the drama. | Watashitachi no kyokasho [わたしたちの教科書] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) This is the first time I've seen Kanno Miho as a lead, and I must say, I am immensely impressed. I don't think this drama would've been nearly as good if it wasn't for Kanno holding up the show. The supporting actor was also really good, of course (I forgot his name, the teacher guy), and so was the supporting actress who played the principal. The story was great for the first two or three episodes, but it seemed to go downhill from there. The plot became very dragged out, and I think at episode 6 I was already screaming for it to end. Thankfully, the ending was shocking enough to redeem the drama overall. Interesting ending song by Bonnie Pink. |
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】] Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched) Kind of disappointed. Could be better, but it was too cheesy most of the time. Too bad 'cause I love Matsushima Nanako =( | Yasuko to Kenji [ヤスコとケンジ] Rating: 5/10 An okay, funny drama to occupy your time if you're really bored and in need of some comedy. The first two episodes were truly hilarious, but it gets a bit old after that. Not surprising that I didn't bother finish watching the whole thing once I found something better to do =P Still, the gangster expressions of Matsuoka Masahiro and Hirosue Ryoko are priceless ^^ | Zenkai Girl [全開ガール] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) My feelings toward Zenkai Girl is very conflicted. On one hand, I am touched by the interactions between the kids and the adults, especially the bond between Mr. Dangomushi and B Tarou. I also love the actress who plays Sakurakawa Sensei. But at the same time, the plot is extremely predictable, the relationship between Dangomushi and Wakaba is poorly developed, and the ending feels like something that was just thrown together in 10 minutes. If someone were to ask me whether I would recommend this drama, I would probably say that this is NOT a drama worth watching. There were certainly parts of the drama that I did enjoy though. So with the good parts balancing out the horrible parts, I would give this drama an overall rating of average. |
Zettai Kareshi [絶対彼氏] Rating: 3/10 Manga was much better. The drama didn't entice me enough to want to keep watching after the first ten minutes of the first episode. Just wasn't appealing for some reason.
