|---|
| Late for a meeting, Kotoko (Sato) was running along the corridor in school and bumped into Naoki (Kashiwabara), their lips meeting. Naoki showed his disgust, but Kotoko started to idolise him. After all, he was perfect in every way. When Kotoko's house burnt down, her father's good friend Machiko invited them to move in with her family. It was then that Kotoko realised Naoki was the elder son of Machiko. Itazura na Kiss is an absolutely hilarious drama. It�fs one of the few that actually had me laughing out loud. Sato Aiko needs to take all the credit for this. Her facial comedy was brilliant. Her character got a bit annoying at times, but she had the power to make us laugh that annoyance away. Kashiwabara Takashi played the perfect Naoki, but his character was a little flat and dull. I was hoping throughout the entire drama that Kototo would up with Kin-chan, instead of Naoki.
The storyline is really lame, and there is barely any plot throughout the episodes. But I had a lot of fun watching the drama. I felt the ending was unrealistic, as Naoki�fs confession in the end seemed abrupt and forced. I mean, he had spent 8.5 episodes telling her how annoying and stupid she was. There wasn�ft the slightest hint that he had any feelings for her. Then suddenly he confesses. It was a little forced and badly done.

Not for the no-nonsense. The very idea of this drama is nonsensical fun. It's no wonder that the story came from a shoujo manga.
I just finished watching it for the 3rd time (twice on tv, once on vcd). Every episode you'll hear Satou Aiko screaming and shouting "Irie-kun!". Just thinking of that makes me laugh! :D Not forgetting the senior actors who star as parents and teachers. They are oh-so crazy!
This drama is very near slapstick, but still has a few special themes regarding aspirations of high school graduates.
What I found most interesting are the NG cuts, especially those in the last episodes. You'll see Kashiwabara going around with a clothes hanger strapped to his head, giving out some souvenirs to his co-stars. And the gentlemanly kiss he gave to Satou at the end which brought about screams from the workers and fans.

Sato and Asada's characters were a bit over the top in my opinion while Kashi's was practically non-existent. The dorama maintained a light tone throughout and it never hurts to respin the basic guy/girl romance plot although sometimes things don't always make sense. Overall, the essence of the dorama carried through and left me a little more cheerful than before I started. This is a fantastic and fabulous japanese show that i hav ever watched. Kotoko (Sato Aiko) is soooooo.... Kawaiii and Irie Kun (takashi) is sooo.... stud.
This show is soo... funny that when i watch it, i would laugh like a mad woman and therafter, my father would suggest me to go to the woodbridge for a check up.
It is a superbly humerous and worth to watch show. It will definitely brighten your boring or sad day up...

This drama is an all-out comedy !It provides loads of riotous fun and even more laughter. Kotoko is truly hilarious as the lovesick schoolgirl whereas Naoki is oh-so-cool as the smart but icy top student.
It's great for the laughs but story development is rather poor as one just cannot see how Naoki can finally fall for Kotoko in the end coz there's not a single shred of emotion shown.

The dramas really very sugoi!! Its very funny and Kotoko's really kawaii!!! This has to be one of the funniest jap dramas that i've watched. This was a really enjoyable drama even though I watched it in such low quailty. =) Irie-kun and Kotoko had great chemistry together on screen and although Kotoko was a little annoying at times with her constant "Irie-kun! Irie-kun!", you still rooted for her to be with him. Because after all, she was a likeable character no matter how whiny her voice was. The only downside to this drama is that I would have wanted to see more of a kind of "completed" feeling of the end. It seemed a little rushed, though still very very satisfying.

This is one of the drama that i like... Kashiwabara Takashi acting as a high sch teenager also have his charm in attracting girls... i find him acts pretty well in it... moreover, he is a handsome chunk...!! the female charactor, Aiko Sato, who is partnering with him in the drama acts well too... didn't know that she can be comical enough to make me laugh... she is so amazing... & also... i like the theme song sings by Speed, Steady... which really suit the whole drama entirely... i think this is basically why i rated the drama so high... A predecessor to Hana Kimi and Nodame, this is also based on a (then) popular manga. Same principle, girl has the hotties for a guy who isn�ft that interested. The drama follows her as she goes through the process in trying to be liked by her prince. It has aged a bit and is only mildly funny. I don�ft like Sato Aiko and her ears (the female Eita) very much in this, her character his a tad too stupid and did I mention her ears? Based on a popular comic book, this drama is hillariously funny and exagerated. Just take on a really light, un-serious attitude while watching it and you'll find that it's quite entertaining! Saito Aiko and Kashiwabara Takashi were great in this earlier work. If you like comic style comedy, this is one of those great one with many follower. Funny, Kotoko-chan always do something fool, I always laugh when she did something "Baka" like that.
Sometimes i feel kotoko like stalker, hahahaha, She follow him anywhere, chotto kowai ne.. Naoki character is too cold, i don't like it too much, i can't read what naoki feeling. I'm soooo upset about the ending. Recomended for a girl not boy or man.

The MOST hillarious drama I ever watched!! I was laughing non-stop watching this drama!!^O^ Kashiwabara Takashi and Sato Aiko are just adorable! Although there's LOTS, LOTS of funny scenes...but, they keep on track on maintaining the quality of the story!! There's some touching scenes, too(although sometimes they were overshadowed by the funny scenes =P)! A very entertaining one!

Very cute manga-based high school drama. Sato Aiko is a bit shrill, but she does convey the awkward adolencent very well. The standout actor in this one was Kashiwabara Takashi as Naoki. His performance really shines, and you realize that underneath his indifference, he actually likes this girl. Itazura started off interesting, picked up pace but got whiny, annoying and ludicrous towards the end. It was hard to buy Kassy's character's sudden morph from cool, aloof Irie who seems to hold Kotoko in contempt and disgust to an enlightened one who finally realises his true feelings for her. I found the actor's over-acting to be extremely interesting, and it makes it seem like one is really just watching a live version of a manga series, which it is. It's a very cute high school story adapted from a manga. So naturally, the portrayal of the characters are highly exaggerated (but it's funny of course)!
