very very dark. i'm not too much of a fan for dark shows. but well. nakai's here. he did very well thou he shld smoke lesser!! does he wants a shorter life?? XD oh ya. it's very very scary and always very action to watch him in pain. so i was disappointed that his death was so no action. i mean, they didn't even show him at his last moment. and i wonder y yuko likes to suddenly keep crying in this show. don't like the scenes when yuko and nakai got together thou. give me the creeps. |

I love this drama! I feel so sad for Naoe sensei. Looking at him suffering as well as not able to tell Noriko about it. Ah...sigh...so sad, so sad. Never have I seen a drama so emotional. I'm so depressed now. I think I need time to recover after watching this drama. I'm too affected by it! Sigh...

I would have given it a seven, but I'm giving it an eight due to Nakai and his ability to portray this character well. Other than Naoe and Shimura, it's a little weak on characterization. The plot and lines are pretty cliche. Nonetheless, it's nicely filmed, nicely directed. Very enjoyable dorama. In general, thumbs up for Nakai and reccomended for all who doesn't mind cliches that much. |

It was okay. Ending was a total shocker, but the whole drama was too depressing for me. I can stand depressing endings like Beautiful Days and Summer Snow, or a depressing drama with a happy ending like Koori No Sekai, but I cannot stand a whole entire depressing drama with a depressing ending like this one. Nakai Masahiro and Takeuchi Yuko were great. Yuko was voted the best actress of the season for this drama. After you finished, you'll still be thinking of the storyline for days�c This dorama stirred up dicussions in many forums too. This is one of the best in 2001. Don't miss it! |

Very good acting from both Nakai and Yuko. This is a much better attempt to re-create japanese version of ER (very similar feeling as dr. green last day battling with brain cancer). Nakai is very CUTE!!! Worth watching. |

Nakai proves that he can act. Also Yuko Takeuchi suprised me with pretty solid and convicing acting.
The story is very moving and some of the landscape shots in Hokkaido are the icing on top of the cake. |

Must watch!!!It is about a doctor who is terminally ill and is very cynical about love who fell in love.However it is so sad that he comitted suicide without knowing that his girlfriend is pregnant. |
