Hayami Mokomichi [速水もこみち] hell yeah... he's so tall and gd looking and does the cool look so well...
Ichikawa Yui [市川由衣] it's funny.. but every show i love has her in it... she's so pretty... and has the cutest smile among all the new tennage jap actresses
Katayama Reo [片山怜雄] yep, my one remaining vote goes to him... i kept rewinding him so as to make sure i didn't miss any of him in waterboys
Moriyama Mirai [森山未來] i will never forget when i saw him in waterboys... i love his cheeky smile!!!!!!
Yamada Takayuki [山田孝之] i like him in roles where he acts the blur teenage boy who doesn't know what to do all the time... he does it so well... esp waterboys, fireboys and h2
mysticalgal84's dramas (144)
69 sixty nine Rating: 7/10 (Watched) reminds me of american pie abit
Antique [アンティーク〜西洋骨董洋菓子店] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) It can be quite boring when you're watching it on a hot sunday afternoon, but the cakes really look very nice, and it's quite hilarious how there are hints of gay attraction in the drama.
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Watched the first episode and was hooked. This was what got me really hooked onto japanese dramas. LOVED the scene when Michi and Hikaru ran out of the school together ... was jumping out of my seat and screaming when they did that.... for diehard romantics and jap drama maniac
Remote [リモート] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) the last time i saw koichi was in rookie, and he has really grown! in this drama! fukada got me irritated, but the storyline kept me in, so minus 2 for fukada's whinning
Ace wo Nerae! [エースをねらえ!] A little dramatic perhaps [Rating: 7/10] I wish that the relationship between Aya Ueto and Yoshizawa Yuu had been developed more. It was such ambiguous love triangle, she, him and the coach. Granted that maybe the focus was on tennis (yeah, the tennis shots got better as the drama progressed), but still the pure helplessness of Aya at the beginning really got to me. She fell down so many times that I think that they spent more time shooting her falling down and getting abused than actually making some progress, which kind of made her later progress a bit unbelievable, considering that she did not know tennis at all. In any case, my guess is that this show is being used to promote tennis, since Japan's best tennis player, Ai Sugiyama's best singles showing is in the quarter finals of the Australian open and current Japanese players have yet to achieve what she has.
Densha Otoko [電車男] one of summer's best [Rating: ?/10] one of the most entertaining dramas of summer. using the internet discussion board as a romantic theme is something that almost everyone who uses the internet can relate to. i particularly like the mini subplot between the computer genius and the graphics designer. I thought that it was a sweet side story...
Gokusen [ごくせん] Too self righteous for a start. [Rating: 8/10] maybe it was because of all the good reviews, that I was really excited to watch the drama. After the first five minutes, I was stunned. Her intended introduction to the school was so self righteous and so naive, that I felt that if I were a student in the school, I would just roll my eyes and dismiss her as a fake. In the first three episodes, she had such a self righteous air about her, that matsumoto Jun always had to step in and explain things to her. HOwever, as the show progressed, the show got better, the 'cool' unity of the class was very funny to watch, and so were the teachers and Nakama's very obvious crush on Sawamura Ikki. Overall, I gave the drama 8 out of 10. Minus two for the irritating self righteous personality at the beginning and the very clique stunts.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] actress alert [Rating: ?/10] i just heard that nanako matshushima is going to take up the role of matsumoto jun (tsukasa)'s sister....
makes me want to watch it even more now
Hotman [ホットマン] Family at its best [Rating: 9/10] I was quite skeptical at first, thinking that it was some cheesy family drama and that pple were only watching it because of the actors/actresses. Man was I wrong. To anyone who's wondering if they shld watch it or not. My advice is: if at any point in your life, you have been unhappy over favourtism, over protective family members, not being able to fit in sch, or have fun with your friends this is the one show that you can really relate to. Watch, laugh, cry, smile at this unique family as they address problems faced by almost everyone.
Itsumo futari de [いつもふたりで] nice and sweet [Rating: 8/10] I used to avoid Sakaguchi Kenji's dramas after seeing him in IWGP coz i thought that he could only do violent scenes... but after seeing him in this, my impression of him is totally changed! This is such a cheesy drama and so predictable but it's one of those dramas where you watch right to the very end coz you can't help it! I suppose that this kind of role is what Takako Matsu is best in, but she's so good at it! The kissing scene at the end was the best. It was so sweet!!!!!!! The directors sure know how to build up the perfect scene!
Magari Kado no Kanojyo [曲がり角の彼女] funny [Rating: ?/10] this show is funny.... i liked the underwear analogy at the beginning..
btw.. isn't this a fujitv drama?
I think that anego is a ktv drama
Pride [プライド] i wish i was part of the show! [Rating: 8/10] I really loved it especially the soundtrack. I think the chemistry between kimura and Takeuchi is one of the best that I've ever seen!!!!
One of the best Japanese love stories that is quite unrealistic but actually gets you so sentimental about it.
Remote [リモート] saved by Koichi [Rating: 8/10] The one thing i can't stand about dramas is when they have whinny girls and kyoko fukada was the epitome of it. Thank god, it lessened a bit towards the end. But the saving grace was Koichi. This is a really big jump for him role-wise.... cool collective personality... even his clothes tend to reflect his dark inner side. How Kyoko Fukada runs around in her boots chasing criminals, someone please tell me. Storyline reminds me of the Bone collecter, but the crimes were really interesting... the last two cases were the best I reckon. Hopefully they'll have more of these detective shows but with less whinning... I like a girl who has more guts than that.
Renai Hensachi [恋愛偏差値] because we can't help but fall in love [Rating: 8/10] That is the theme of the drama that is repeatedly fed to us throughout by the bartender and the movie poster. Love is painful. Love makes you cry, love makes you do evil things, but love makes you laugh and makes you strong. Through the 3 stories, we are shown all these. Though the stories seem quite far stretched and too complicated at times, but these things do happen in life. Women do do such things sometimes for love. And yet, love is not always a happy ending. In fact, most of the time it is bittersweet. And yet, we go through the circle over and over again, because we cannot help but fall in love.......And perhaps that is the reality of life too.
Anywayzs~ kudos to great acting to Miki Nakatani, Tokiwa Takako and Kou Shibasaki...... loved Bar Air... wish there was something like that in my country..
Food for thought:Another interesting thing is the cocktails that the different girls drink. Miki Nakatani's drink seems to be a gin and tonic straight up... perhaps showing how she's such a power lady in her career and stuff, Tokiwa Takako drinks a manhanttan which somehow symbolizes the cosmopolitan urge of hers, while at the end, the bartender creates a new cocktail for the two leads, which he aptly names "love quotient".
Saiyuuki [西遊記 ] any familiar scenes to you [Rating: ?/10] Did anyone see eps 9?
I thought the army was a familiar copycat of lord of the rings.
Suekko chounan ane san nin [末っ子長男姉三人] nice! [Rating: 9/10] hee, after watching this, I suddenly feel like I want to be with some one too! Fukutsu Eri and Okada Junichi have such great chemistry together! They did such a great job of potraying the lovely durvey just married couple. I suppose I can understand him being over whelmed by the presence of some many women in the house :P. With sisters like that...
I particularly like Koyuki the best out of the 3 sisters. She managed to protray the gung ho- tough sister very well...(after seeing her act in more feminine roles like in the last samurai) and she's sooooo tall! I never realised that!
The show is really funny, many a time I just burst out laughing especially when Okada's ex showed up! But at the same time, it's a family show. Sisters bicker, but they stand by each other at the end of the day. hee... getting sentimental here, so i guess that i'll end off.....
