An excellent piece of work. As a non-reader of the Kindaichi manga series, I was immediately hooked to the series due to the mood of the episodes. Each episode is pretty grim and dark (except for the constant bickering between Kindaichi and Miyuki which lightens up the mood). Often, you would want to get involved in the investigations and solve the cases yourself. The only reason why I couldn't rate it a 10 was that I felt that each case should have consisted of more episodes to add more detail to the investigations. Highly recommended. |

Part two got me hooked so I went and hunted down part 1 and was lucky to find it. Title theme is a great tune.

Great chemistry between the cast members and Tsuyoshi and Rie are a great duo/pair. A good balance of humour and suspense. Stories/Files are semi-predictable but wonderful to watch and figure out. I used to hate watching "whodunit" shows especially w/ supernatural legends but this is a great show that got me in and I just loved every episode. Highly recommended.

This is the most orginal version of Kindaichi, which makes it good and interesting as it's the FIRST Kindaichi drama.
I thought it was a good drama overall but there were some bits that I COMPLETELY freaked out. I think there's an episode where you can see Yosuke Kobuzka when he was young in it. LOL
For sometime, I thought I was watching a scary drama because some cases where just.. WOAH! o____O
But I recommend you to watch it if you like detective stuff. It's all fun. =) |

Wah! Excellent! Tsu-chan looked so kawaii, I'm beginning to understand why he has so many fans. Each case was fresh and suspenseful, the twists and turns a bundle of surprise. Tsu was very convincing as the young Hajime, I don't think anyone could dispute that he was absolutely perfect for the role: I guess that means Jun has a lot to live up to in Kindaichi2 ne?! Hehe~ no worries, I'm still looking forward to watching Jun's sequel. |

Even though the mysteries could be predictable (just think of the least likely person at the beginning of the movie, or the nicest one), the story line is setup nicely and all the actors are great. Although the policeman is a bit strange looking... This original Kindaichi series is definitely better than the new Kindaichi 3, the original Kindaichi himself is the best too, what were they thinking with the casting of the new one? |

Sorry, I'm biased--I LOVED the Kindaichi manga, so, naturally, I loved the show. I think this series, with Doumoto Tsuyoshi of KinKi Kids, is way better than the version with the guy from Arashi. Sorry, no one can play goofy and cool quite as well as Tsuyoshi! Plus, the mysteries were right out of the manga, so I could relate to them (unfortunately, knowing the story beforehand also ruined some of the endings). |

Tsuyoshi looked realli young in this one but, still cute *^^* This drama is a mix of mystery and love at da same time! Rie didn't know how to confess her love for him and when she getz jealous when he'z around other girlz, it'z soooooo cute! I think the second one is better tho . . . I think this is becuz since they are older. They actually look right to date . . . They were too young in this one *sigh* |

I love whodunnit shows like this... in fact after watching this I went to read all the manga volumes I could get my hands on. The stories are really strong so you can't go wrong. Tsuyoshi suits the role of Kindaichi perfectly too. And the classic lines of Kindaichi... so corny but fun to say along with. |

it's good! i like mysteries. but i must say i really prefer part 3. their stories are more wide spreaded. this is a little limited with the same type of stuff happening all the time. and also. they keep using horribly ugly masks. the pattern's pretty much the same, horrible mask, few ppl killed. |

Ah, my very first J-dorama, totally fell in love with it, and I found Kinki Kids from this. Tsuyoshi is very good as Kindaichi bringing out the the comedic and seriousness of the character, Rie fits the part of Miyuki well and there's a definite chemistry between the two characters. |

Classic detective fun. I like watching this when I only am interesting in watching something short. It's very easy not to watch this whole series at one time. Dohmoto Tsuyoshi does a good job of portraying the at school typical hormonal boy/detective genius. |

This show & Trick are my all-time favourite mystery jdoramas. The mysteries are thought-provoking and Tsuyoshi is quite comical at times... and everytime he solves a mystery... he has to repeat that phrase about his grandfather's reputation. |

Frankly speaking, I watched Part 3 before Parts 1 and 2... but I must say, even though this series is really old already, I like this better than Part 3!! Domoto Tsuyoshi really bring the character of Hajime through very well. Good stuff. :) |

tsuyoshi is adorable in this dorama. in fact, he is so adorable that i watched the dorama just to watch him. but a little empty plot wise. and it gets a little dry after a while. the last story is the only one i thought was really good. |

This is an aged dorama I recently watched. It was a good detective type drama with multiple short stories involved the young Dohmoto and Tomosaka. When compared with their latest works, the leads are much better now! |

Sooooo good. No handsome Kindaichi, but he's good (don't remember his name). I liked the cases, cause they made you scared and you get this dark feeling... A must see! The best Kindaichi drama of them all. |

I know a lot of people liked this show, but it just didn't make sense to me that Tsuyoshi is even 'big' in Japan. Kinki Kids is even worse. No offence but I didn't really like this show. |

Tsuyoshi is THE perfect Kindaichi Hajime. I've seen some of the anime and watched Kame and Matsujun's portrayals before Tsuyoshi's, so there's no doubt in my mind. |
