If you like goofy shows that are meant to be over the top this is a pretty good one. The cast is good based on what they are given and though it is similar to at least 10 other drama's about a family that is poor with money but rich with love this one does differentiate itself by having fun. The drama does get better each episode if you stick with it. If you like over the top drama's give it a shot. I enjoyed it. That being said it certainly won't be in my top 20 list. |

Wow this is an amazing drama. Such fantastic acting from all the cast. Itaya Yuka was especially amazing in this. I was not sure if I wanted to continue after watching the first episode because I could not imagine that after such drama in the first episode that they could maintain a decent story line for the remaining episodes and honestly I was not sure I could take much more as it was so moving and sad but I hung in and it was amazing. A little slow at points and they could have done this in less episodes but I loved it.
This is the kind of drama you do not just watch to pass time. It really makes you think and look at the world a little different. Bravo. |

The plot was of course a bit ridiculous but that is okay I don't mind that as long as I know it going into the drama. I like Maki-san so I watched this drama. I found parts to be charming and endearing and others to be tedious and monotonous.
It was really and up and down experience seeing this drama. I really enjoyed it then I would get bored by some of the over acting and ridiculous actions of some of the characters. I really have mixed feelings about this drama. I would say see it if you must but in my opinion there are countless better drama's. |

Though at times it seems a bit absurd and out there it really is a wonderful drama on so many levels. The cast is terrific. A lot of familiar faces are present in this drama. The drama takes place both in the Edo period and present and deals with Medicine, Time and Space theory, Love, Friendship, Politics and more. I do not care for medicine based Dr. drama's but this is different. Masaki Okada and Ayame Gouriki were both great in this drama and the concept was very fun and interesting. I enjoyed the drama for the most part. It is kind of a survival battle story like Battle Royale with a twist and much less gore of course. Mix that in with the Matrix and you have Future Diary Another World.
I enjoyed each episode but I wanted a stronger ending that is what really brought it down for me. |

This drama starts off pretty fun then seems to start to drag around episode 4 and 5 as things start to become too redundant but if you hang in there you will be rewarded as it takes off again.
Shota Matsuda does a great job as Dr. Kota Sezaki who falls in love with a new girl every episode and Emi Takei as Nurse Mako Togami is perfect for the part of someone who is able to keep Dr Kota in line.

I loved this odd little romantic drama. I will sound like an old man saying this but it really has a classic feel to it that most recent dramas lack. They really take time and effort to make you care about the characters and it works in this drama. |

Harada Natsuki [Rating: 7/10]
I really enjoyed the performance of Harada Natsuki. This was a refreshing series and had a lot of pleasant moments and a great theme song. I felt the story got shifted a few times in the middle and end. It was as if a new writer suddenly decided to change the plot at random a couple of times. This is a cute little drama with some romance and character development in it. I had some laughs and enjoyed the chemistry. I was not wowed but I was glad I saw it and can safely say I recommend it. |

One of my top 2 all time favorites. Amazing cast and chemistry. Over each episode you really care more and more about everyone of the characters and the develop so deeply as well. The music was fantastic and story was so touching and Nanako Matsushima was so beautiful in this drama. |

I found the slow nature of this drama really well done. It left me feeling content and peaceful and I really loved the performances in this drama. Don't expect any major developments or thrills though there are some events it's really not a show that relies on them to keep your interest. NHK always puts together a first rate cast for their Taiga drama's and Yoshitsune was no exception. The story is famous and it was shot beautifully. It was not my favorite taiga but it was very good. I recently watched it again and it grew on me a little more. |
Zettai Reido [絶対零度]
Good Crime Drama [Rating: 7/10]
A Police show that focuses on a small team of of detectives assigned to cold cases. Each detective seems to have a little baggage and personal history that is tied in with the crimes they are assigned. I Enjoyed this drama. The acting was fine though I hoped for a little more depth in some of the characters. Aya Ueto played the rookie roll and did an admiral job of it and the stories were all very interesting. Worth checking out though it failed to really wow me for some reason. | |
