I have come to enjoy Ryoko's acting. She does a great job depicting her character's feelings and is a good cryer. I like how the main characters grow and learn about one another each episode and how mistakes and promises are made, broken, and cured. I did not know it was only 4 episodes. Short but it told a lot about cross cultural relationships and even touched subjects of Koreans living in Japan, limited movement for Korean male citizens, economic differences, military service requirements, and cultural differences. It was on the verge of being a weekly tragedy but each problem leads to maturing of the daughter. I'll look for more dramas with Wakui Emi as she does an excelent job of expressing the emotions of her character. I enjoyed this one. |
