to live with his siblings after their parents died. The prob is, all of em are seperated to be taken care by someone, and one of em is adopted.I thought i was gonna see a happy ending for this family but the troubles
come tragically(the youngest is disabled, one got involved with gangsterism,one was raped) sheesh.. if i were the head of the family, i wd stumble but he(Eguchi Yousuke) keeps goin through. A good story to watch! |

Now I see why this is acclaimed to be the granddaddy of all family dramas. A highly enjoyable show with many good storylines. Eguchi Yosuke plays the highly emotional big brother well, one moment he's laughing hysterically and the next he's crying his eyes out.. I loved the scene where he strangles the lady thinking that she kidnapped his younger brother...hilarity. This show has provided the inspiration for newer ones such as Hotman. Great acting by the cast, intriguing storyline. Highly recommended!!~ |

Another drama to weep buckets on. The difference from Heaven's Coins is this drama emphasizes on family's value. Eguchi is perfect as Tatsuya, always the big brother who takes care of everything when he's actually as confused as everyone. It's overall a heart-warming drama and not to forget that the two series got the highest rating among all 90s drama. Great cast and good performances. That why this series became a classic. An interesting story line based on family bond between brothers and sisters. |

Well this is a must see dorama, it`s not exactly the best acted dorama but is one of the most popular doramas of all time in Japan as eguchi yosuke and fukuyama masaharu is brilliant and cool. and the best thing about this dorama is the innocent performance provided by Sakai Noriko who acts as Koyuki. She is amazingly cute. This is a hommely family dorama of 6 brothers and sisters who go through daily struggle to strengthen their family bonds. Really funny and really sad in moments! |

This wuz also one of the boring dramaz on my list! It's realli laggy and dun realli have a plot at all! I know this story wuz all about a family and troubls they've go through . . . but if there wuzn't a second one to back it up, u'll think the ending sux and probably the drama dat u've wasted u're money on! If I were u, I wouldn't waste my time watchign this is just go to the second one! If u watch it, u'll eventually catch on . . . hope my opions helped!? |

wow ~~ this show was shown on tv when i was very young ... i think when i was 9 or 10 yrs old ('96 or '97) ... haha ~~ i don't really remember the scenes now ... but i do remember the characters ... liked the big brother the most ... the way he nags and cares a lot for his siblings ~~ i remembered i've cried before for this drama ~~ it'll be weird if u're a jdorama fan , and u've not watched this show b4 .... kekez .. |

Story-wise this is an absolute 9 or 10. What a wonderful family drama about 6 siblings living together! Now why a 7, you wonder? It's Eguchi Yosuke's character. He unfortunately portrays the kind of man I hate most in real life: a childish crybaby, who thinks he's a real man, while being agressive and a tad too stupid. Zero respect from me even though he did good and meant good. |

Touching. What a great cast! Yosuke Eguchi, Fukuyama Masaharu and Noriko Sakai had delievered a superb performance. However I gave most of the credit to Yosuke..he is so great as the big Aniki in the family and raising his brother and sister all by himself. A very good drama with a great family value |

A good, solid storyline and great acting, you can empathise with the characters through their highs and lows. Eguchi Yosuke (Kashiwagi Tatsuya) is really good as the older brother who is trying to make the whole family situation work - and he does have his work cut out for him. |

This series is among my all-time favorites. It is a very warm, and inspirational series. All the characters are very good people. And, when bad things go wrong for each of them, you really feel for them. Sakai Noriko really made her mark in jdoramas with this series. |

Very nice dorama. All in all it was a great story and great acting... although I think the fighting scenes between the brothers were a bit too much some times. Also, sometimes they made a pretty big scene out of very small problems.

My all-time fave jdorama! It was the first jdorama I watched! A very good family drama, although the ending seemed abrupt and incomplete. If you watch this, you gotta watch the sequel which totally finishes off the ending of this series. |
