Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット] One of my faves!! The storyline is unique, almost fairy-tale like, and is packed with funny and heartwarming moments. Wonderful acting by Koyuki and Matsumoto Jun who share a great chemistry and bring their characters so close to us. Pet owners (especially those who have pet dogs), you'll definitely identify with this dorama. Go watch it if you haven't already done so!
Koyuki [小雪] Here's a natural talent who certainly deserves my vote. She has lighted up the screen with strong performances in the various roles that she has undertaken. If you haven't already seen any of her shows, go catch Kimi Wa Petto, Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi and The Last Samurai and you'll know what i mean. Hope to see even more of her in future!
Kubozuka Yosuke [窪塚洋介] There's a nonchalant air around that only enhances his coolness. He's a great actor who endears the characters he plays to us.
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵] A very talented and versatile actress. Her performances in Trick and Gokusen are simply unforgettable.
Takenouchi Yutaka [竹野内豊] His extremely good looks notwithstanding, Yutaka never fails to capture my attention with his intense onscreen presence. He clearly immerses in every role that he takes on and the result of his efforts is that we get to enjoy his excellent performances! :)
Big wing [ビッグウイング] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Uchida Yuki and Kassy acted pretty well in this show. However, their efforts weren't good enough to make a rather dull story much more interesting.
Nisennen no koi [二千年の恋] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Was pretty hyped up over this show, especially since Nakayama Miho and Kaneshiro are the leads. BUT as the story unfolded, it became harder and harder to swallow. In addition, there just wasn't much chemistry between Kaneshiro and Nakayama. IMHO, i think both of them didn't act well in this dorama.
Renai Hensachi [恋愛偏差値] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Go watch this! The 4 female leads really put up superb performances which made me feel for them as they went through their emotional rollercoasters. The 3 stories were engaging and touching. Special mentions go out to Okada Junichi and Nakatani Miki - great acting!
Yan Papa [やんパパ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Agree with those who said that this story is predictable. However, Nagase pulled the show together with fine acting. He convinced me of Yusaku's sincerity, perseverance and kindness. Oh and the little boy who acted as Junnosuke-kun was such a joy to watch! Think we'll see more of him on tv in future. This is definitely a heartwarming series.
