What can I say? A delightful sequel to the highly rated Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo based off of the manga. Dohmoto Tsuyoshi shines as Kindaichi, the grandson of the famous detective. Because of his reputation, police officers and other detectives oftentimes look for him for help. I really enjoyed the fact that even though this was a drama, you could tell that it was based off of a manga and I really liked how faithfully Tsuyoshi tried to portray Kindaichi's personality as best as he could.
Each of the series of stories was interesting and how Kindaichi is able to reveal the murderer or what had actually taken place is always surprising, though sometimes very twisted. Some of the scenarios were even pretty scary. Out of all the mystery dramas that I've seen thus far, Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo definitely has to be one of the best. |

Way too predicatable. A guy and a girl decide to go on some sort of trip and end up tangled in a murder mystery case. 2 people die. The guy vows to solve the mystery. The police man thinks he knows the who the killer is. The guy says he is wrong and magically discovers a detail. He confronts the killer. The killer confesses why he did it. Everyone is happy. The girl tries to tell the guy she likes him but he's too busy flirting with another girl. The end.
Painful to watch. Luckily Rie Tomasaka and a Kinki Kid was in it, or I'd gave this 0. |

This was the first Japanese drama that got me hooked. Great chemistry between the cast members and Tsuyoshi and Rie are a great duo/pair. A good balance of humour and suspense. Stories/Files are semi-predictable but wonderful to watch and figure out. I used to hate watching "whodunit" shows especially w/ supernatural legends but this is a great show that got me in and I just loved every episode. Title song for part 2 is cool. Highly recommended. |

Altho this one is better than da first one, I gave them the same rating becuz only some episodes were good! I remember there were about 3 episode dat lagged and I couldn't stand watching it so I left it out! So this equalz to the first one . . . but in my opinion the rest of the stories were better than da first one! You'll have to watch both to get the story! Hope this helped! |

Kindaichi returns!! I think my vcd set doesn't really show the entire series, because they included the movie at the back. But still, I always like the fact that Miyuki is taller than Kindaichi!! :D I thought the stories are better in this series as well. And Miyuki's dress sense kinda improves too :P |

pretty much like this drama due to the pairing of dohmoto tsuyoshi and tomosakai rei... like the manga, this show was full of suspense and make u wanna find out what happens and who's the killer.... but to me the manga was more entertaining..... but dohmoto tsuyoshi do look a bit like kindaichi...haha |

An excellent continuation of the first season. The second series consists of more 2-parters, which would definitely satisfy the viewer cum sleuths. With the exact same casts as the first season coupled with the same elements of mystery, horror and suspense, this series truly lives up to its name. |

I love this. Tsuyoshi is so cute. Whenever he is trying to chat with the girls, he always get caught by Miyuki. Personally think this is best kindaichi drama.... ^^ no other ones can beat it even if there are more Kindaichi dramas coming up. =P |

One of my first J- doramas, highly recommended. Tsuyoshi is very good as Kindaichi bringing out the the comedic and seriousness of the character, Rie fits the part of Miyuki well and there's a definite chemistry between the two characters. |

A continuation of jikenbo 1, more cases, a bit more crazy than the first season. However, I think the "Shanghai Mermaid" case was horrible. The original is still the best. |
