Blackjack ni Yoroshiku [ブラックジャックによろしく] ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITES. Underrated, but this drama is a poignant and honest portrayal. As always, Tsumambuki Satoshi rocks!
GTO [麻辣教師] My first j-dorama ever, and still one of my absolute favorites :) Love the chemistry between Nanako and Takashi, and I love that each episode is a little story in itself. I know this is supposed to be a fun comedic type series, but the last few episodes made me cry :)
Hotman [ホットマン] Gotta love sorimachi takashi's oniisan-type roles ^^ he's the best best big brother figure. this series was another of those light-hearted feel-good ones, the kind I can watch over and over. Nanami was so cute!
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] I thought GTO rocked (it *still* does), but this one rocked harder! :) I *love* the chemistry between takuya and tomoko, i could even feel the sparks jumping offscreen even with my crappy copy of the drama! I love the music too. I've watched this 3times in the last 2 weeks :D
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション] I *love* this dorama. I saw Long Vacation before this one, so I was kind of biased against Matsu Takako (her character was so whiny there) at first. After watching this one, I am able to truly appreciate the depth of her talent! Great story (romantic and funny and happy and sad,) stellar cast (of course :) and wonderful soundtrack. This is one of my all-time favorites.
Nurse no oshigoto Season 2 Easily one of the most romantic series I've ever watched. Too bad it's unsubbed...but even with my limited understanding of nihonggo, I HIGHLY ENJOYED this dorama! Great story, great cast, lovely soundtrack :) The premise is a little bit overdone, but they pulled it off beautifully. I'm purposely desisting from watching the 3rd & 4th sequels because I don't want to ruin the romantic image in my mind of Makihara and Asakura, lol. Matsuoka Masahiro was GORGEOUS here! It seems he had his growth spurt somewhere between Psychometer Eiji 1 & this series, hehe. In Eiji 1 he looked really young, he still had babyfat and a babyface. His mature (sexy arrogant young doctor type) character in Nurse No Oshigoto 2 is a pleasant surprise (since both series were done in the same year.)
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Addictive! The actors are great. Tsumambuki Satsohi of course (whom I lustlustlust) but everyone else did a great job too. I'm really looking forward to completing this series, each episode gets me further and further hooked ^^
Tengoku ni ichiban chikai otoko [天国に一番近い男] I LOVE THIS DRAMA! Matsuoka Masahiro is hot, and I love the chemistry between the actors! The plot is light and funny, I'll be watching it for the 4th time this weekend ^^ I wish someone would sub the sequel.
Wedding Planner [ウエディングプランナー] One of my absolute favorites. I've watched this almost as many times as Long Vacation ^^ I love the lighthearted script, the endearing characters, the lovely LOVELY soundtrack (again, another absolute favorite.) It's such a feel-good series ^^
effronterie's artiste votes (9)
Fujiwara Norika [藤原紀香] My personal vote for most beautiful dorama actress! She is luminous, and her expressions are so cute ^^
Kashiwabara Takashi [柏原崇] He's not just HOT, he's a great actor too! Great versatility (he was awesome in shota no sushi, and I'm liking his -however minor- role in Orange Days.)
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉] Loved him in Long Vacation. He didn't disappoint in Beautiful Life either :) I have several of his other shows next in line, and I can't wait. I wanna marry him :D HEEH!
Kuroki Hitomi [黒木瞳] Lovely lovely lady :) I can't believe she's 45! She looks 30 maximum. She could even pass for 27, I saw her on a segment in a recent variety talkshow, she was wearing this full-length strapless pink gown, and she looked so young and fresh! Brilliant actress too.
Matsuoka Masahiro [松岡昌宏] The most beautiful man alive. Wicked hot, an intense actor and talented musician (the maddest drummer skills!) I've seen all his doramas and (with the exception of Nurseman Ga Yuku) he does not disappoint. I hope he gets bigger and better roles in the future, roles that will further his career and establish him as the exceptionally talented actor that he is.
Narimiya Hiroki [成宮寛貴] One intense actor...he has the ability to keep one riveted to the screen when he's in the scene.
Takeuchi Yuko [竹内結子] She has a very elegant and understated beauty. The kind you need a second glance to realize. I almost overlooked her in Mukodono, but after Pride, I'm convinced that she is one of the most stunning dorama actresses! I think she's even prettier than Matsushima Nanako, but that's just me. I haven't seen her in a very wide range of roles though, she usually plays cute & guileless twenty-somethings.
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡] My god this guy is GORGEOUS. And he's such a wonderfully gifted and intense actor. I wish a nice group would take on the fan-subbing of lunch queen :D
Asunaro hakusho [あすなろ白書] sad [Rating: ?/10] the story is really sad :( as always, watched it mainly because of kimura. Much to my disappointment he only had a supporting role, and looked really nerdy until the last quarter of the series (when they were all "grown up," lol) I skimmed through the last episode of this one, it really dragged.
Blackjack ni Yoroshiku [ブラックジャックによろしく] WONDERFUL SERIES [Rating: 10/10] I was kind of turned off by the darkness of the first episode, I almost didn't watch the rest. Now though, this is one of my favorites. The portrayal of life as a new doctor is so painfully honest, Saito Sensei was so earnest too. Tsumambuki Satoshi did an awesome job here. He's definitely one of my favorite actors ever.
Kyousoukyoku [協奏曲] so-so (wouldnt bother if it didn't have kimura) [Rating: 6/10] I'm in the middle, the story drags somewhat; but Kimura is, as always, hot enough to keep me glued (despite the super LOW QUALITY copy I'm watching) :P the female lead has the most annoyingly whiney voice though, I hate it.
Love and peace [ラブアンドピース] Perfect :) [Rating: 10/10] Great story, funny and heartwarming. All the episodes were entertaining and exciting enough to keep me glued. Mabo was very very good here :)
Love Revolution [ラブレボリューション] No Big Deal [Rating: 6/10] I don't understand why people think this dorama is so great. I fell for the hype and purchased it in DVD. It was just ok, I guess. It started out great, but dragged toward the middle, and toward the end it was almost excruciating. Also Ryoko Yonekura looks more cross-eyed that usual here.
Nurse no oshigoto 1 was matsuoka masahiro really in this dorama? [Rating: ?/10] cause i dont see it in his credits out of this site...if anyone knows for sure and can tell me, i'd appreciate it :)
Nurse no oshigoto Season 2 GREAT SERIES! [Rating: 10/10] Easily one of the most romantic series I've ever watched.
Nurseman ga Yuku [ナースマンがゆく] Funny series [Rating: 7/10] Like most sequels, it doesn't quite live up to it's predecessor though. Nice cast, funny story, entertaining overall, but nothing terribly exciting. Matsuoka Masahiro is adorable here though!
Psychometrer eiji Season 2 Great series! [Rating: 9/10] Refreshing change from the usual mush (although I did like the chemistry between *ahem* mrs. Kimura (hehe) and Mabo. I liked the plot, each case was interesting and exciting. (As always) Mabo is very kakkoii in this!
Summer snow perfect [Rating: 9/10] The cast is stellar, the script wonderful, and the acting great. The soundtrack rocks too.
Tengoku ni ichiban chikai otoko Season 2 [天国に一番近い男 - 教師編] Hmm... [Rating: 7/10] I bought this because I fell in love with the original Tengoku Ni Ichiban Chikai Otoko. Same premise, alot of the same actors, but I was really disappointed cause Jinnai's character wasn't as interesting :-/ The whole time I was watching it I was waiting for the "Kuyashikamou"'s (sp) & the "kamaramou!"'s (sp,) hehehe. Mabo is 500% more kakkoii here though than in the first, so that's a plus. (*edit SPOILER* ok just finished watching it, and TENDO's crazy persona appeared briefly at the end of the last episode. Too bad they made him out to be some kind of lunatic though)
