1. | Comments by Audy [Rating: 7/10] Meguri Ai is my first Japanese Drama after a long period of vacancy. Compared to the dramas from other country, Meguri Ai seems like suggoiiiii!!!!! Yet, when I'm already into the story, somehow I felt that the story is being lengthened unnecessarily. Or maybe it was the characters which were very undecisive and so thick not to realize from the very start that nothin' less than a true love can last a marriage a lifetime. Eri and Shiuji have parted like six times in the story, for crying out loud!!! I counted it!!! The many parting times make the story somehow lose the suspense a bit. How can somebody be so thick not to realize, after years of parting, that nothin' will fill up their empty spaces but their true love?!! And after you realize it, how can you let it go?!! Thankfully, it's only a movie with a happy ending, so the script crosses their paths from time to time, nomatter how hard they try to be separated from each other. I like Eri ^_^ Her beauty seems to be very fragile and vulnerable, yet she's got an unbeatable spirit and toughened zest. It's a pity that she doesn't include God in her life, I believe if she did, she won't need to undergo so many pains. |
2. | Comments by pash [Rating: 7/10] The leads are very good, and the drama itself has its good (heck, even very good) moments; unfortunately, that's partly ruined by the many obvious, repetitive, forced or simply silly scenes whose only "raison d'etre" seems to be to stretch into 12 episodes what could have been much better developed in half the eps or maybe even in a tv movie. Ironically enough, for a drama which focuses so much on missed opportunities, that's exactly what it ends up being, imho: a missed opportunity. :/ |
3. | Comments by jaycee [Rating: 7/10] its a love story where.... takako plays this very cherry-like gril who loves to dance... meets a photographer....fell in love and love last till she decided to leave for new york to dance in the accademy.... later she got involved into a accident and she couldn't dance anymore... she met mr. doc....i guess she went out wif him... then fukuyama played the man that was about to get married to his employers daughter... end up in a divorce and in the end married takako..... his one true love |
4. | Comments by michelle [Rating: 6/10] The first 2 episodes were okay. I thought the plot will start to develop into something really interesting to watch. However, how disappointing! This drama gets really draggy and I was sitting there hoping it will end soon. I never like to give ratings below 6 because somehow, I know there are efforts behind all these (Shomuni was an exceptional case because I really dislike it). Well, the ending was a satisfactory one. Watch it if you people like Tokiwa Takako and Fukuyama Masaharu. |
5. | Comments by fuku_girl [Rating: 8/10] I love Fukuyama and his acting was great. I though it was too long at times and repetitive, but I guess that's the whole point of the show. There are parts of the show a little dark for my taste (different than Heaven's Coins 2 type of dark) - ex. the doctor's "obsession" with Eri. I definitely prefer Under the Same Roof!! |
6. | Comments by DoramaWmn [Rating: 10/10] This is my all time favorite! The first time i watched it, it seemed long and complicated with lots of painful moments between the two, but each time i watched it again, i saw more into it, at least for me, i can relate to this romance a lot. I re-watch it once every few years and it still is my favorite! |
7. | Comments by kaonashi [Rating: 6/10] Since I almost fell asleep just by reading the synopsis, I expected this series to be boring as hell. So I guess things could only get better & in the end it wasn't THAT bad. And the music was pretty ok. But it sure was a draggy love story, definitely not a drama you can finish in one day. |
8. | Comments by cheery [Rating: 8/10] I tink this is the 1st Jap drama i have watched on Jet TV. Quite a nice one coz i can still remember the storyline after so many years, but such a pity didn't manage to catch the final episode. Dunno the outcome. I tink it's quite a draggy story coz the time span in the show is quite long. |
9. | Comments by Nermal [Rating: 7/10] An adult drama that deals with romance. A strong relationship never dies and you never forget someone you really love.
I love the very human and realistic aspect of this drama (up to a certain point). Predictable but still very nice to watch! (Fukuyama Masaharu... kakkoi!!) |
10. | Comments by tsuyoshi7nhwi [Rating: 9/10] I probably would give it a "10" if I remembered it better. It was so long ago! A roller-coaster romance, bringing you up and down each episode, all the while screaming, "Just tell her you love her!!!" Plus, a totally awesome soundtrack, courtesy of Fukuyama Masaharu. |
11. | Comments by dnie [Rating: 7/10] tut..tut..talk abt twist of fate..this two forlorn lovers that cd never settle down happily with each other..Masha's character is a bit cold..sometimes i wish i cd beat him up to his senses and Takako is just too nice.. that's why the end is like that, aiyah!! |
12. | Comments by Taurmindo [Rating: 8/10] unfortunately lasted a little to long (in 'their' time), 7 years to develop their relationship? this drama had lots of moments of joy, sadness, frustation, pure touching moments etc. great acting with convincing characters, but, a little to long. |
13. | Comments by Yuki [Rating: 7/10] Actually its kinda crazy when they seperate and then meet again. Almost seven times. What an unbelievable fate. However Fukuyama acted very well. Takako too. I like to watch her dancing. This dorama is actually not that bad . Kinda funny too. |
14. | Comments by eltinator [Rating: 8/10] The pairing of Fukuyama Masaharu and Tokiwa Takako was great but the writers should have stopped at ep 6. The story goes in circles and it's a roller coaster of a ride. Sometimes toooo unbelievable. Very sappy. |
15. | Comments by hikaruhana [Rating: 7/10] I liked both Tokiwa Takako and Fukuyama Masaharu in this drama. Also loved the guy who played the proprietor of Refrain! He was terrific. Story kinda came and went but overall it was an all right drama. |
16. | Comments by norz [Rating: 8/10] Interesting drama for sure and really can be frustrating near the middle with the reunion between the two. However it was agood thing they met up again and well got into storing the whole mess lol |
17. | Comments by Yuki0212 [Rating: 9/10] I brought this series because of Masha and Tokiwa. I like the drama even though it was a little boring in the middle of it. I just think it is still a good drama with my favorite people in it. |
18. | Comments by db9paka [Rating: 5/10] After a great first episode, everything just went down. I mean, DOWN. Just think about it, Masha and Tokiwa? Great pairing but in a drama like this??! What a dissapointment |
19. | Comments by pcmodem [Rating: 9/10] Shuji's an idiot in this dorama. I'd have never let someone like Eri go, have married her by the end of the 1st episode. Of course, then you'd only have a 1 episode dorama! |
20. | Comments by Amika [Rating: 6/10] Their relationship just drag too long, with so many stupid misunderstanding that happened between the two at so many different part of time make it more stupid... |
21. | Comments by GIGI [Rating: ?/10] I like the drama but the ending was so lame despite the loooonnng refrain. Naturally Masha is cute and obviously taller than everyone in the cast. :-) |
22. | Comments by swoc [Rating: 3/10] i dont remember much probably because it didnt have a significant impact on me. all i can recall is the awesome theme song. +1 for tokiwa takako |
23. | Comments by chipolata [Rating: 8/10] My Fukuyama Mashaharu plays with Takako Tokiwa.. I have to watch this dorama!!!
the theme about reunion between two lovers made me 'tremble' |

25. | Comments by loveaomori [Rating: 1/10] so bad, so annoying. I always try to pull out good points in the doramas I watch but this time, just lost my time. |
26. | Comments by Eve [Rating: 7/10] Refrain was the first drama I ever watched and it got me totally hooked. Talk about true love!! I adored it. |
27. | Comments by Akakage [Rating: 7/10] The journey of their love story is too long to get into the climax. I don't particularly like it. |
28. | Comments by xploring [Rating: ?/10] Quite engrossing at the start but I found it unbelieveable toward the end. Didn't finish. |
29. | Comments by Bsalez [Rating: 6/10] DOn't u just want to punch them in the face for being stupid to each other..Hate it man |
30. | Comments by Michi [Rating: 6/10] It's too DRAGGY !! But its worth it if you're Fukuyama fan!! He is so cool! |
