Aishiteiru to Ittekure [愛していると言ってくれ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Aishiteiru to Ittekure is the most beautiful drama I've seen and the first Japanese drama I love. I really adore Toyokawa Etsushi and Tokiwa Takako in this drama. They conveyed their feelings through sign language and faces so superbly that if someone told me Toyokawa-san was actually deaf, I would have believed him. > <
The theme song, 'Love Love Love' by Dreams Come True, also contributed to the drama very well and is my favorite of all time. | Antique [アンティーク〜西洋骨董洋菓子店] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) So-so.
I watched it because of Takky. | Beach boys [ビーチボーイズ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) All three actors are my fovorites; Takashi Sorimachi, Yutaka Takenouchi, and Ryoko Hirosue, so I had expected it a lot.
Good drama, unfortunately, did not fully meet my expectations. |
Bijo ka Yajuu [美女か野獣] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Another drama taken place in News Department.
Give good lessons about team-working. | Boku dake no Madonna [僕だけのマドンナ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) So-so.
The plot is interesting at first but becomes a bit boring in the middle of the drama. | Buzzer Beat ~ Gakeppuchi no Hero [ブザー・ビート] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) I'm not much into basketball, but this basketball series is entertaining. Part of it because YamaPi and Keiko are so cute together. (Were they really dating? > <) The story is a bit guessable, dream catching and love triangles etc. YamaPi's basketball and Keiko's violin playing look believable as an amateur. Aibu Saki in an evil role is interesting to see, and I think she did very well because I'm now starting to dislike her. LOL |
Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I watched it in dubbed version. Many say the original version is much better. | Engine [エンジン] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I love watching car racing and enjoyed watching this drama as well.
The story is well written. The sub-stories of the children are also fun to watch. | Friends [フレンズ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Touching.
This is not the best drama, but it will stay in your memory for a long time. |
Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) I wish I could have a teacher like Yankumi.
Yukie Nakama did a great job in playing the character. Matsujun is so cute in this drama. | Golden Bowl [ゴールデンボウル] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) So-so.
This drama is partly good because of Takeshi Kaneshiro and the opening and ending songs. | GTO [麻辣教師] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Funny to watch but not the really best drama.
What I like the most in this drama is Yosuke Kubozuka. ^^ |
Hachimitsu to Kuroba [ハチミツとクローバー] Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched) I decided to watch Honey and Clover mainly becoz of Ikuta Toma. Toma did impress me again in this drama, which is much different from his role as Nakatsu in HanaKimi. The story went so slow that I almost stopped watching it if not for Toma, but it got more interesting towards the end of the drama. Good art direction, and the artworks used in the drama are also impressive. Ayumi and Mayama are my favorite couple. | Hakusen nagashi [白線流し] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) The first drama with Tomoya that I watched.
Long time ago already, but I still remember the stars drawn on the desk and the crash scene. | Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) One of my most favorite dramas.
I love the Taiwanese version of F4, but I still prefer the Japanese version of Domyouji and Makino.
Couldn't believe Matsujun can portrait Domyouji very well like this. He does have talent for acting. |
Hana Yori Dango Season 2 [花より男子] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I really envy Makino having Domyouji and Hanazawa Rui fighting for her. >__< | Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [花ざかりの君たちへ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama has plenty of good-looking guys! Oguri Shun, Ikuta Toma, Mizushima Hiro, and many, many more. Toma as Nakatsu is incredibly cute and hilarious! 킢łˁ` I've fallen for him already. >_<
However, the drama could be better if it offered more romantic scenes between Mizuki & Sano and also reduced the parts of 1st & 3rd dorm, as too much of them became annoying. | Imouto yo [妹よ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) This drama is the beginning of my J-Series addiction.
Typical Cinderella story, yet still very romantic. |
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) I watched 'Kimi wa Petto' a week after watching 'Zettai Kareshi' and noticed that the two dramas shared quite siimilar plot. Both stories involve an adoption of someone understanding and accepting the protagonist's true self that eventually turn into love. Matsujun is so mischievous in this drama but cute as he always is. ^^ Koyuki's acting is awesome. Anyway, I think Zettai Kareshi has a better storyline and a more touching ending though. | Long Love Letter [ロング・ラブレター〜漂流教室] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) I've never seen such a drama that contains lots of science-fiction details like this.
Although there're plot holes, the story is yet interesting and meaningful, especially at this moment where Global Warming and other environmental problems are taken into concern. | Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) This drama will make you feel hungry for Omuraisu. :D~
Nice cast for Yuko Takeuchi.
Satoshi Tsumabuki and Yamapi also became my favorite actors from this drama. |
Mei-chan no Shitsuji [メイちゃんの執事] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) I accidentally came across this weird drama, but it turned out to be very fun! C̎ is adapted from a manga, so the story is nothing realistic. All the characters, butlers and their masters, are very funny. The main actors, Mizushima Hiro as Rihito and Sato Takeru as Kento, are sooo adorable. The ending is very cute and keep me hoping for the 2nd season. I rewatched that scene like 4 times. @^^@
Wish I could have Rihito as my butler too... LOL | Minamikun no koibito [南くんの恋人] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Not so interesting. | My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒロ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Tomoya's acting is really amazing and makes this Gokusen-like drama unique on its own.
I laughed a lot when Tomoya's making weird faces. 5555
Despite those weird faces, Tomoya is still good-looking all the time. ^^ |
News no onna [ニュースの女] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) The first drama with Takky that I watched.
I think it portraits the life and work of news casters quite well. | Nisennen no koi [二千年の恋] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Takeshi Kaneshiro and Miho Nakashima were a good match for this drama.
The ending is very sad, I still remember tears running down my face. | Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) Despite Kame and Yamapi, this drama failed to keep my attention. |
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) My most favorite drama. So funny and great acting.
I can't help falling in love with Nodame and Chiaki.
I believe nobody can play the role Nodame as great as Juri Ueno.
And Tamaki Hiroshi is sooooo handsome and cool as Chiaki.
The classical music pieces in this drama are very well chosen. They are all my favorites.
I would give this drama 100/10. | Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I love this drama so much.
The dialog is very well-written, so it is touching and meaningful.
I have seen many dramas and films of Satoshi Tsumabuki, and this one is his very best. | Otomen [オトメン(乙男)] Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched) This drama may change your view of an ideal boyfriend. He doesn't have to be manly. Guy who loves cooking, sewing, shoujo manga and girly things could make a great boyfriend too. ^^
Otomen is a fun-to-watch drama. It also contains funny parodies, which may be difficult to understand for viewers who're not acquainted with Japanese culture.
The characters in Otomen group; Asuka-chan (Masaki!!! ^^), Juta, Tonomine and Araike, are all so cute! Ryo-chan (played by Kaho) may look plain at first, but she is actually very lovely and suits best for this role. |
Otousan [おとうさん] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) So-so.
Ryoko is my favorite out of four daughters. | Proposal Daisakusen [プロポーズ大作戦] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Proposal Daisakusen encourages people whose loves are not yet fulfilled to use all might to try their best. The storyline is well-written. Clever twists in every episode to keep attention throughout the entire drama. Yamapi is so cute when he does the 'Hallelujah Chance!'. 킢~@>_<
Also recommend to watch the special episode. It helps to complete the story and is really touching. | Pure [ビュア] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I've watched it long time ago. Can't remember much, but it was a very sad drama. |
Ring: Saishusho [リング 最終章] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) So-so.
Worth seeing if you need something scary. | Ruten no Ouhi - Saigo no Koutei [流転の王妃・最後の皇弟] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) This drama is very well-done in details.
A historical drama rather than romantic. | Seikei Bijin [整形美人。] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) The story is very interesting, cleverly deals with plastic surgery issue.
Ryoko Yonekura is a perfect beauty. |
Sensei shiranaino? [先生知らないの?] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) This drama is soooo good. Cheerful and enjoyable.
The kids are so cute and Kinoshita Sensei is the best teacher I could imagine.
If only this drama was popular like GTO. sigh* | Shomuni [ショムニ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Funny to watch. | Shomuni Final [ショムニ ファイナル/庶務二課] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Funny to watch. |
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I agree with some of you that Kyoko Fukada is really annoying. 5555
But the music in this drama is good, and so is Yosuke Kubozuka. :p | Water Boys Season 2 [ウォーターボーイズ2] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) So-so.
I did not watch the first one before. But this second one is OK to watch. | With love Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Thanks this drama, J-Series became popular in my country again at that time.
The love story of Hata and TeruTeruBouzu is so touching that I wish I would meet someone like Hata in the real world after watching it.
Pity, the pace is somewhat too slow. But there's one advantage from that; I could appreciate more on Yutaka Takenouchi. ^^ |
Zettai Kareshi [絶対彼氏] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) Zettai Kareshi is the best robot-and-human-love drama I've seen. It has both very funny parts and touching parts. At first, I fully supported Soshi (played by Hiro), but as the story went on, I started to have feeling for Night, the robot (played by Mokomichi). And at the end, I cried a lot for him... Mokomichi did such an amazing job. (not yet to mention how hot he is!!)
Regards to the special episode that continues 3 years after the original ending, my suggestion is better to skip it. The original ending was at its best. The SP has ruined it totally. I shouldn't have watched it. T__T | | |
