Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨] A real "tear jerker" drama. This is indeed the drama that got me hooked back onto watching Japanese dramas again after a short interlude.
I will never forget how I felt when I first saw this drama. Sakai Noriko is a very talented actress and she has to be one of the best actresses that Japan has to offer.
Ikebukuro West Gate Park [池袋ウエストゲートパーク] Excellent! The life of Yankees in Japan. I think Nagase Tomoya did an excellent job as Makoto. Although a bit violent at times, I would still recommend this drama to people who want to see GOOD dramas.
Musashi [武蔵] A very powerful drama about the life of Shinmen Takezo aka Miyamoto Musashi. Ichikawa Shinnosuke did an excellent job as Miyamoto Musashi. I can see why The Book of 5 Rings is like the "essential manual" for business men and entrepreneurs in Japan just by watching this show. After watching this show, I immediately bought the Book of 5 Rings. Excellent!
Onsen e Ikou [温泉へ行こう] One of the best dramas I've seen so far. A bit cheesy and overly done slapstick comedy at times, but it got me hooked to watch numbers 2, and 3. And in which I'm also anticipating the airing of #4. Kato Takako is an excellent actress and no task proved to be too much for her. She pulls off one of the most powerful performances I've seen a Japanese actress do.

Fujiwara Norika [藤原紀香] Simply beautiful. She has got to be one of the hottest actresses in Japan. Though not the "best actress", I give her credit for giving it her best. She did however, play a very convincing role in Mukashi No Otoko as Akari.
On another note, I hope she comes back to shop at LV in Hilton Hawn Village. (She came around before I started employment there) I'd love to meet her!
Kurotani Tomoka [黒谷友香] <=This picture serves her no justice whatsoever. :(
She is so hot! A model and a great actress.
Matsushima Nanako [松嶋菜々子] A very great actress. One of the best, IMO.
Japan's "sweetheart".
There's NOTHING not to love about her.
She's smart, funny and so damn hot!!!!!!!!!!
Mizuno Miki [水野美紀] Such a talented actress and beauty to die for, she has unlimited potential. But no one really gives her the credit that she deserves. Very unfortunate, seeing as how the industry is losing out on negleting such a great actress. I loved her in Shiawase No Shippo.
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵] Such beauty and such great acting talent. She no doubtibly has to be one of the greatest actresses in Japan. Very versaitle and convincing...... Plus she has one of those smiles that could knock you away.
Uchiyama Rina [内山理名] Rina is sooooooo~ hot!!!!!!! Her smile and eyes........ Whoa~ baby!

Yada Akiko [矢田亜希子] With such beauty and great acting talent, I'm suprised that Yada Akiko doesn't get as much roles as she should be getting. A bombshell with so much talent, heh, the industry is missing out BIG time.
Yonekura Ryoko [米倉涼子] Very good actress. She has that "star-power" and charisma that's going to keep her around for a long time. And the fact that she's so hot doesn't hurt all that much either.
Miseinen [未成年] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Excellent! Although this story is not one of the happiest ones around, I would definately recommend it. For me, it really got me thinking about how society is. May not be a universal society assumption, but at least something I can relate to Japan with.
Musashi [武蔵] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Still watching..........

A 10 without a doubt!!!!!!!! Incredible! Powerful! Captivating! Ichikawa Shinnosuke as Shinmen Takezo aka Miyamoto Musashi is untouchable in this drama. He pulls off such a great performance, that I felt as though I was actually watching the Great Miyamoto Musashi himself!
Onsen e Ikou [温泉へ行こう] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) I'm also grading this drama in consideration of #2 and #3
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Excellent! One of the best dramas I've seen in a LONG LONG time. I'd recommend this drama to anyone. The only gripe I have is that the "deaf girl" role is being played out (IMO). But this is one of the dramas that no matter whether plot played out or not, they made it RIGHT to impliment such a handicap to the lead female role. Two thumbs up!
Otousan [おとうさん] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) A family drama, but the story just wasn't working. The cast was what saved this drama.
Oyaji~ [オヤジぃ] Rating: 2/10 (Watched) Another family drama but this was worst than Otousan.
Rookie! Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Rina was great! ^ _ ^
Shiawase No Shippo Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) Mizuno Miki was awesome in this drama! She is a great actress and I am really disappointed that she does not get the credibility that she so well deserves. Her performance in this drama is stunning. Sakaguchi Kenji is a great actor as well and he did an excellent job as well.
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) A so-so drama after all. But the "8" is not deserved without Uchiyama Rina's superb acting talent. Had she not been in this drama, I'd have given it a mere 5. (And that's being nice)
GTO [麻辣教師] G.T.O. -Great Teacher Onizuka [Rating: ?/10] Great drama! Never read the manga of it though. Sorimachi, although a "junk actor" did a good job in getting me hooked on it! Nanako was great as well! Story line was great and I liked it when Sorimachi kicked @$$! Definately recommened!
Hotman [ホットマン] HOTMAN HOTMAN HOTMAN! What can I say??? [Rating: ?/10] Great drama! Has the whole "family" issue embedded all over ti! Loved this drama! Yada Akiko is so damn fine in it too! I'd say comparing this to G.T.O., Sorimachi's acting has improved a lot! He's still got a long way to go but it's good to see that it's improving!!!
Ikebukuro West Gate Park [池袋ウエストゲートパーク] Ikebukuro West Gate Park (I.W.G.P.) [Rating: ?/10] Very good drama! One of my favorites! Great pick of actors/actress' to portray the characters!
Moto Kare [元カレ] Awesome! [Rating: 8/10] I admit, Tsuyoshi is a wuss and the plot used is played out. But that didn't stop Rina from delivering a great performance. Although I wasn't too fond of the plot, I was still eager to see what happened in the next episode. The actors (especially Rina) did a great job in convincing the audience (me, in this case) to stay tuned for the next episode.
Mukashi no otoko [昔の男] Great Drama [Rating: 9/10] I liked this drama. The passion, the sex and Fujiwara Norika! Whoa! The plot was so-so, but the cast seemed to keep it alive. Tomita Yasuko did a great job in playing the mentally unstable wife. Nevertheless, I recommend this drama to people who don't mind the "married man meets ex-girlfriend" plot. As long as you can get past that, I beleive you'll enjoy this drama.
