As a political geek, I've enjoyed this drama a lot and even recommend this to people who do not care about politics. This clearly shows how a regular amateur could "CHANGE" politics and society. Similarly, this drama incorporated comedy in highly serious parts as well as teach watchers how politics in Japan go around daily. "omoshiroi!" (INTERESTING in Japanese) That was my reaction when I watched this drama. Who would be able to think of an idea of a doctor in the 21st century and Edo period. I felt that the concept, the plot, and historical accuracy was all great throughout this drama. I highly recommend this.
