2001 no otoko un [2001年のおとこ運] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) This was fun to watch. Nothing deep or world-moving, but nevertheless a very cute drama. | Ai wo kudasai [愛をください] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Despite the fact that I personally just can't stand Hideaki Ito, this drama really caught my attention.
I did cry at some scenes, really. This drama also turned me into a Miho Kanno fan immediately she's not only a pretty face she's an extraordinary actress. | Blackjack 3 [ブラックジャック3] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Mokkun even shines in a slightly modified and weird version of originally an Anime and Manga series.
If you watch this with the premise that you're watching some sort of an Anime, it's really fun. |
Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi [僕と彼女と彼女の生きる道] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Well I just became a father myself a year ago, so this story was that more touching to me, I guess.
Once again Kusanagi Tsuyoshi proves that he's so much more than just a member of SMAPxSMAP, his acting is convincing, very touching and brilliant. | Churasan [ちゅらさん] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) The story alone is just a cute little story about two children who promise each other to get married once they've grown up and especially the girl really believing that comise get fulfilled one day. It's also a little "Oddyssey" of her to find the boy again whom she promised to marry so many years ago.
What makes this drama really fun to watch are the many interesting and funny characters. This starts with the lazy father who sits around all day long playing the sanshin (an Okinawa style shamisen), then the main character with her striking naiveness, also Maria (played by Miho Kanno), a faery tale writer whose cynical and sarcastic character so nicely mismatches her profession and many other who all end up being completely enchanted by the winning charme and naivity of the main character. And somehow end up having their lifes completely changed by the appearence of that quirky little girl from Okinawa. | Churasan Season 2 [ちゅらさん2] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) This sequel really lives more from the first part than being a well-told story on its own.
I was a bit dissappointed. Still fun to watch if you were a fan of "Churasan" |
Churasan Season 3 [ちゅらさん3] Rating: 3/10 (Watched) Well the number three in the title says it. This is a sequel for the sake of a sequel.
Nothing new, nothing interesting. Totally disappointing. | Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) The basic plot is fun and I enjoyed the first few episodes, but it so much always the same pattern that I got bored to death after a few time watching the show.
Too bad, because the role itself if a perfect match for Nakama Yukie. | Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん2] Rating: 2/10 (Watched) The basic plot is fun and I enjoyed the first few episodes, but it so much always the same pattern that I got bored to death after a few time watching the show. Now the sequel makes it even more repetitive.
Too bad, because the role itself if a perfect match for Nakama Yukie. |
Ii hito [いいひと。] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Nice drama. | Ima Ai ni Yukimasu [いま会いにゆきます] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This was a very nice silent little Drama series. Nothing world moving, but just a cute story of someone getting a second chance of falling in love once again with his wife who died very young. | Itoshi Kimie [愛し君へ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) I liked the series much better than the cinema version. Kanno Miho is brilliant as always, also Fujiki can convince in his role. Nice series. |
Kabachitare! [カバチタレ!] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) All the fans of the original Manga "Kabachitare!" forgive me, but this is an absolutely great drama, despite the fact that it is almost completely disconnected from the original Manga.
Takanori Jinnai is the perfect cast for the Tetsujin-Fan boss of Sakaeda-san, I loved the scenes where he starts slipping into his Tetsujin dream world (BTW yes, the correct name of Eri Fukatsu's character is "Sakaeda", please fix that).
Also Eri Fukatsu who carries most of the whole drama with her quirky acting is just brilliant. I've seen this series now four times on TV and I still can't get enough of it. | Kira kira hikaru [きらきらひかる/法醫物語] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Well, what can I say, I just can't get enough of Fukatsu Eri. Nice little dorama series. | Koi ni Ochitara ~Boku no Seikou no Himitsu~ [恋におちたら〜僕の成功の秘密〜] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I still thing that the title is about as non related to the movie as possible. This drama really isn't about love, but it is very much about basic values and what we think is important in life. I also liked that the main character himself was so far from perfect.
Kusanagi is a really convincing and brilliant actor as always. He should stop singing out of tune and stick with his real talent | acting. |
Koi no Chikara [恋ノチカラ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Watched it three times on TV. Still like it. I'll watch it again.
I never thought Fukatus Eri and Tsusumu Shinichi would make such a great pair. | Love complex [ラブコンプレックス] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I like this drama because it was so weird. Really the story is weird shit, but this is not supposed to be a serious drama, this is absurdity at its best. | Shinsengumi [新撰組] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Great drama. Great casting, although Shingo-kun can't really fully convince as Kondo Isami, he doesn't have enough impact.
Still this is worth watching and has a lot of ups and downs, which will keep you interested. |
Shiroi kage [白い影] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Nakai proves that he can act. Also Yuko Takeuchi suprised me with pretty solid and convicing acting.
The story is very moving and some of the landscape shots in Hokkaido are the icing on top of the cake. | Slow Dance [スローダンス] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I like that one. But Hirosue sucks as always. Who the hell, made her believe shefs an actress? | Star no Koi [スタアの恋] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) I've watched this about 5 times now. They showed it again on TV and I thought, I'd be fed up with it and once again got hooked. I don't know what captures me so much about this drama, the story is rather simple, but I think the chemistry of all the actors is just perfect. |
Style! [スタイル!] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) What a waste of Mokkun (Motoki Masahiro), he's such a great actor, but the plot is just too cheesy. | Tokugawa Yoshinobu [徳川慶喜] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Very nice and convincing Yoshinobu played by Mokkun. He really shines with his subtle acting. | Trick [トリック] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) This series showed me for the first time that Japanese are also masters of the absurd and weird.
A must see for people who love skewed humour. |
Trick Season 2 [トリック2] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Yes the weird and twisted duo strikes again, and they're still funny as hell. | Trick Season 3 [トリック3] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Can't get enough of this great duo! The whole story is so absurd and weird, it's really fun to watch. | Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Well, this is one of the big all time favourite dorama series which will be broadcasted every other while on TV and people (including me), just keep on watching it.
Great! |
