Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) highly overrated. very disappointed with this after enjoying long vacation. very slowpaced and boring, didnt care much for the ending
Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) very disappointed. decent show but i expected much more after all the raves i got from friends. the guy enjoys creating more probs for himself. total baka. ryoko was kawaii tho
Good Luck !! [グッドラック！！] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) didnt care for kou, she's not attractive at all, ok if u like girls who look and act like a guy, not my cup of tea... NEEDED MORE RINA!!!
Hotman [ホットマン] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) one of my favs, very touching family drama, takashi is real cool, everyone played their roles perfectly, manami and akiko were terrific and looked hot!
Koishite Shinitai [恋して死にたい] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) can you say STALKER?!? o rite, shes only stalker if shes ugly... anyways, very mediocre show, the fights were pretty cool, tsuyoshi was cool, kyoko is her usual cute self
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) awesome performance by yamaguchi tomoko. she steals every scene!
Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人] (Watched) the leads are terrific and make a nice couple. they seem to genuinely care of each other. tomoya is competent altho he tends to overact alot, yuko has the cutest smile and is very sweet. the rest of the arai family are totally unlikable, their very annoying, selfish, and dull. it gets worse when the story becomes centered around them. the manager and chief are very funny tho. ending was kinda stupid. totally ridiculous that masaki would do that to his own family, more ridiculous that they would break up at a time of crisis, and also stupid that the lil boy gets ill for no reason.
Narita Rikon [成田離婚] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) constant bickering got on my nerves. never convinced me they were in love. the supporting cast was hilarious tho
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] (Watched) after 2 eps, worthwhile watch even tho sae can be annoyin at times
Oyaji~ [オヤジぃ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) great cast, story, characters. dad was great, hirosue ryoko and mizuno miki were terrific, supporting cast were awesome, brown girl was kinda scary (she doesnt look half bad w/o makeup tho)
Seikei Bijin [整形美人。] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) ryoko looks hot and acts well but her character pisses me off, and the main guy is so godamn boring. MANAMI is the only saving grace.
Shin Hoshi no kinka [新・星の金貨] Rating: 6/10 mari is very cute in this altho she cant talk, she conveys alota emotion with her facial expressions. only seen 2 eps (all i can get), the bitch girl is simply psycho, cutting her wrists, wtf?!?!
Star no Koi [スタアの恋] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) stupid stupid stupid. every scene is so fake, made me cringe. only watch if fujiwara/kusanagi fan. uve been warned.
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) lotsa eye candy with rina and kyoko. rina with wimpy guy and kyoko with cool guy would have been better match. decent watch if u like teacher/student and bro/sis romance ^^
Summer snow Rating: 10/10 (Watched) one of my favs, awesome performances by ryoko and tsuyoshi, very touching story about luv, family, and sacrifice. definate tearjerker ending (stock up on tissues)
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) matsushima nanako is very good here. very convincing performance. the whole cast was terrific and very funny. overall, a great show... i felt bad for yada akiko tho

Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚] overrated [Rating: 7/10] after hearing all the hype, i was expecting alot out of this show. unfortunately, it did not meet expectations.
it had promising start then it focused too much on pleasing the dad. one ep, he gets pissed, they make him feel better. next ep, they piss him off again. rinse and repeat and u have whole show. the guy really likes to screw up at key moments. just when dad starts to like him, he $%^@'s up big time. ryoko, r u sure u want husband like that?
the parts where their actually acting like a couple and working towards starting a family were touching tho. i lfound the side stories much more interesting. enjoyable if u dont expect too much.
Hotman [ホットマン] GTO 2 [Rating: 10/10] this is one of the best dramas ive seen. each ep is self contained heart warming tale. the characters plays off each other wonderfully. takashi shows alot of charisma and is real cool, a more subdued onizuka? nanami is really cute and acts way better than i could have imagined for someone her age. the supporting cast is terrific, akiko was very funny and looked hot, her expressions were priceless, esp when shes drunk ^^
of course the standout is manami, im glad she finally got more screen time, shes very beautiful in this and shows she can act too. go manami!!
overall very touching, a must see unless you have a heart of stone ;)
Koishite Shinitai [恋して死にたい] if u fantasize about... [Rating: 6/10] a cute girl breaking into ur house, following u everywhere, and somehow get u to fall in luv with her...

Long vacation [ロングバケーション] awesome performances by... [Rating: 9/10] yamaguchi tomoko was simply brilliant. she showed alot of range and gave easily the best female performance i have ever seen. she can be cute/perky, angry, depressed, kind/gentle, or sexy. very versatile
inamori izumi was great as the goofy best friend. her facial expressions cracks me up everytime, look forward to seeing more of her in other shows
Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王] Where are the SUBS?! [Rating: 10/10] Watched 3 eps raw, great performance by takeuchi yuko, finally got to see her in starring role but NO SUBS, why hasn't anyone subbed this great show. Story is very funny and entertaining. cast is great top to bottom, itoh misaki is so hot!
Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人] ah sigh [Rating: 7/10] show started off very well, light hearted and funny and then started to stumble very early on and never got back on track. the middle had too much filler about the uninteresting arai family members, altho the ep with koyuki (from last samurai) was pretty good. final couple eps were total turnoff, no way someone who betray their family over something so petty, no way would a couple so in love breakup at crucial situation. *rolls eyes*
nagase tomoyo - competent but tends to overact alot... does he only know how to sing one song?
Takeuchi Yuko - has the cutest smile ever, very natural performance, not enough for her to do except look cute and sometimes act sad or angry
1st sis - annoying, selfish, ugly
2nd sis - annoying, selfish, boring
3rd sis - annoying, selfish (sense a pattern?), but gets more likable or rather pitiable
lil kid - cute but nothing special
older kid - boring, unlikable
dad - one of the worst fathers ive seen, he's not forceful enough when hes mad and doesnt show enough emotion when hes sad
chief and manager - very well acted and funny, danta-san from good luck is brilliant here
also theres way too many manipulative depressing scenes that involve crying and everyone brooding over how pathetic they are... (at least one per ep) and what kinda @#$% sugarcoated BS ending was that? 'the most disgustly mushy couple in the world' indeed.
Narita Rikon [成田離婚] quarrel fest [Rating: 6/10] asaka is beautiful, the supporting cast is hilarious, but the show never convinced me the couple were in love... not even for a second... they kept bickering and fighting, sometimes they help each other out and seem to care for each other... they were more like friends than lovers
Oyaji~ [オヤジぃ] synopsis is wrong [Rating: 9/10] the above synopsis is for otousan, a similar show featuring same guy who plays the dad but everyone else is different. Oh, hirosue ryoko is in both too but play diff characters. Her character here is vastly superior to her boring character in otousan. this show is about the stubborn dad, his wife, and 3 kids (2 daughters, 1 son).
This is very heartwarming family drama featuring a great cast and good stories for each character. Everyone was terrific in their roles and play off each other wonderfully. Don't miss this!
Pride [プライド] tom cruise of japan [Rating: ?/10] i agree with above review, kimura takuya is the most overrated actor ever. kimura always gives a competent performance but shows very limited range. he tries too hard to be cool, doesnt seem natural... more like hes 'acting,' he needs to take a chance and do something new for a change. until then, hes zzzz...
as for the show, the story is very mediocre, nothing special about it except it has hockey in it. being an avid hockey fan, i found it insulting that a whiny lil cry baby (motoko?) is even allowed to play. afraid of getting hit? B @#$%ing S

Summer snow want tissue? [Rating: 10/10] epitome of drama greatness
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】] very funny [Rating: 9/10] overall, i found this to be a very funny and light hearted. matsushima nanako portrayed sakurako beautifully, shallow on outside with hint of caring on inside. I never felt she was completely superfacial but always hiding her feelings. the whole cast was excellent and made me crack up frequently. the show never became too heavy, always lightening up the mood with comic relief.
only complaint is the ending, i felt really bad for yada akiko, maybe she'll marry the rich guy and find happiness ^^
