Namase Katsuhisa [生瀬勝久] LoL, I vote for him because he makes excellent use of his weird looks. Check Gokusen and Trick if you want to know what I mean. His expressions are awesome and garantuee to make you laugh.
Sato Eriko [佐藤江梨子] Everybody check out "Cutie Honey" (life action movie), the movie itself is kinda stupid but satoeri is so hot! :D

Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Very entertaining. Tells the funny (supposedly true) story of a young Okaku (nerd) who gets into an fairy-tale-like affair with this beautiful woman. Maybe it was not so realistic (though it is a true story???), but still enjoyable. Lot's of humor as well. Even if you're sceptical, you should see it since every one in Japan knows it (either story, drama, movie, manga, anime whatever there is about Densha Otoko).
Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Very entertaining, I also love Nakama Yukie in this series. It's about a woman, raised in a gangster family, trying to learn her tough class a lesson. The plot is somewhat similar to GTO, but they're still very different. I'd recommend this one if you're in for a good comedy :)
Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) [On DVD] Ok, first I shouted "don't watch it!", but now I got over the shock of the senseless ending, I might be able to give this series a better judgement. The story goes as follows: A man (Shuichi) and woman (Aya), who is mute and deaf, are working in a small clinic in Hokkaido. They're actually in love but haven't confessed their feelings yet. Shuichi has to go to Tokyo for business. Before he enters the plain, he promises Aya to get married but at Tokyo airport, he gets a terrible accident. When Shuichi doesn't return to Hokkaido, Aya goes after him, but discovers that Shuichi lost all his memory. The series is about the battle of Shuichi trying to regain his memory (and remembering his promise), and Aya to win Shuichi back.
Too bad. It won't happen. Sorry for spoiling, but this series is great until the last episode, where the makers just want to kill you by making the most horrible ending possible.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Recommendable.. I really liked it. The main actress wasn't completely my type though, she's still cute
Oyaji~ [オヤジぃ] Rating: 8/10 [On DVD] Good funny drama/comedy about a family that is being terrorised by the "stubborn dad" ("Oyaji"). The Oyaji cares very much for his family and has many (traditional) ideals. Too bad for him his 2 doughters and son have all kinds of problems that don't fit his ideology at all. A pattern seems to be children leaving the house because of their dad, then dad won't admit he misses them but still allows them back in the house. I still have to see the last few episodes, I'm really looking forward to how the finaly issues are being solved :-) Please give this drama a look
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) [On DVD] Very nice drama! Story about a young shy guy who falls in love with Yui after she "saved his life" by convincing him to stand up for himself. It gets more dramatic as the series progresses, maybe a little bit too much but it's still a great drama. If you generally like romantics you should like this Drama too. If you never tried romantic drama's before this would be a nice start.
Trick [トリック] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) [On DVD] It's about a female magician (Nakama Yukie as Naoko) who joins forces with an male physicist (Hiroshi Abe as *forgot*) in order to expose the fraud of people who claim to have supernatural powers. There's a lot of comedy in it, also some sex jokes but i.m.o. they don't really fit in this show. Anyway the series is devided in several short stories, and for now, the first and second have about the same plot. [edit:] The other stories after it are interesting as well (and different), there's also a story which is only one episode. Good to keep the pace going. The last story is plot-wise the most interesting, as it reveals things about Naoko and her mother's past. Things I liked the most about this drama is the chemistry between Yukie and Abe, both actors will soon become your favorites. Second is the interesting tricks that happen in the show. Sometimes explanations of illusions seem to be a bit far-fetched but in context still believable. I'm looking forward to see Trick 2 and 3.
Virgin Road [バージンロード] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) [On DVD] This was the first J-Drama I saw. I had sort of a hard time adjusting to the dramatic athmosphere and the typical J-Drama cliché's but while watching it I still got addicted to it. Also there's some touching moments you'll surely enjoy.

Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨] What a stressy drama! [Rating: 4/10] If you don't want to know wether it ends good or bad, stop reading.
Ok I'll be honest. The drama was very great, but the ending just sucked! Until episode 10 I would have given it an 9 or so, but the end makes it a final 4. Some people call it 'dramatic' and 'touching' but they were probably crying too much to notice the damn freaking frustration you get at the end!!! And worse, when I checked for the sequel, it ends even more different from what you want. So I'm not going to watch that one definately. Right now, I just finished watching the final episode, and I really liked the series until episode 11 or maybe even until half of 12. Then the final moment comes and the whole series just COLLAPSES into a piece of crap. You can't believe how frustrated I am now. GRRRRR! Don't watch it if you want to save yourself a couple of days (or weeks if I'm unlucky) after-stress.
