Gokusen [ごくせん] one of a kind drama...lots of lesson to be learned specially for young kids and adults....also very entertaining and funny...matsumoto jun is so cute on this one...definitely a must see....
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] i did know what to expect on this drama...i didnt even know the plot...but as soon as i finished watching the first episode i was hooked...i thought abt this drama as a funny and joyous portrayal of high school life...the bullying, the popularity that most of us has undergone...it talks so much about friendship and believing on the people that u love and treasured....the three main characters gave an excellent portrayal of their roles...well done and well crafted...made me cry in the end actually hheheh....this is one of the good ones...
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] i didnt really know what to expect about this series, my friend just came over my apartment and have us watch this. turns out, we got hooked on it for 11hours. yes, we finished this series in 1day. the only break we took was to go to the bathroom and when we had dinner w/c was only in 15mins because everybody was so eager to watch it. this series turns out to be really good and a lot more different from other jdoramas ive seen. i loved the college setting cause it made me reminisce my good old days back then. the friednships, the crammings for test, meeting new people from new places, finishing your thesis, begging your professor for your grades, graduating and worrying about the future. anyways, i think that everybody in the cast did well specially Tsumabaki Satoshi. he's sign language was awesome. i hope he learned that specially for the series. he was very pleasing and wholesome on this series. his facial expressions are phenomenal and to top it all he's really one great actor. Kou Shibasaki was alright. i just didnt like her character very well int hte series. her character is a handicapped and i think she was so self centered and selfish. but of course, Tsumabaki helped her changed and they lived happily ever after. i think Kou had the easiest part on this series cause she was mute and all she did was sign language. in general, i loved this jdorama and i hope they will make more series like this with more deepness.

Ayase Haruka [綾瀬はるか] shes so cute in "crying out....". a very good actress too, i must say. i hope ill see her more on upcoming jdoramas.
Oda Yuji [織田裕二] the perfect gentleman in "last christmas".
loving, caring, sensitive, funny and affectionate makes him the ideal man for the ladies.
Tamaki Hiroshi [玉木宏] he's so cute in "last christmas"
i like his character in that series cause its like he's a hearthrob but he only has one love, Ritsuko, who keeps on dumping him for 4years. you can see how determined he is on persuing Ritsuko because he never gives up and when she wanted to go to NY to pursue her dreams, he let her go because he love her. ahw.....thats true love. i think he's one brilliant actor. the way he dresses, cuts his hair, smile and walk makes him very confident and comfortable. whenever i see his dimples when he smiles.....it just melts my heart. i hope and wish that i can see more of him.
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡] hay, what can i say about this guy....aside from the fact that he's so CUTE and HOT....i liked him in orange days cause he was the lead and he got more close up and i get to really watch him and admire his gorgeous smile.....loved the way he carries himself, with confidence and integrity....i love how he dresses....always so tidy and preppy....i hope in person, his personality is as good as the roles he portrays.
Yamada Takayuki [山田孝之] definitely one of the most versatile actors in japan. he probably can perform any role you ask him to do. he can be funny and obnoxious like in "water boys" and he can be a very caring, loving boyfriend and cry like theres no tomorrow like in "crying out...". i must say though that his performance in "crying out..." is so amazing. i cant even believe that a person can act like that, with pure sincerity and depth. he's really a great actor and im looking forward on seeing him more on TV.
Yamashita Tomohisa [山下智久] i thought he was very funny and hilarious on nobuta wo produce...good actor and dancer...have u seen their video...oh wow, check out the moves...hes very cute too...love his hair...

Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) never expected that this series will be awesome. me and my friends watched this in 1day. so we were glued on the tv for 11hours. yes, you heard me right, 11hours. anyways, the college setting is unique. ive never seen a series with that for a long time. it made me reminisce the good old days. all the casts are spectacular. hats off to them for learning sign language specially for this series. Tsumabaki satoshi did a marvelous job on playing a friend, lover and support aid. he acts very subtle but the impact is really deep. i loved how friendship was instill and dramatically shown in this series. Kou Shibasaki was alright. i just didnt like her character cause i think she's so selfish and self-centered. but of course, prince charming, Kai-Ku rescued her......great jdorama, simply one of a kind.
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) hay, what can i say about this amazing jdorama??? this drama made me wish i can understand japanese. i first saw this on channel 18 and thank god that it was subtitled in english or else ill probably go crazy. anyways, the story is kinda like that movie "a walk to remember" but i must say that this is way much, much better. well, minus the singing part of course. theres more drama and depth on this one. the actors i must say are really great specially the two leads. this was the first drama that really made me cry, seriously. specially the last 3 episodes. i know its kinda lame but thats how effective the actors and story is. all i can say is "bravo! bravo! bravo!". definitely, one of the best jdoramas ive ever seen. good job guys!
Umizaru [海猿] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) one of a kind movie...a different kind of "top gun"
Water Boys [ウォーターボーイズ] Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched) this is one unique series. its funny and youll learn lessons about life every episode
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] on the edge of my seat [Rating: 10/10] i wouldnt have thought that this drama will turn out to be good...actually, good is an understatement...i should say, it was GREAT...i was hooked on this drama since episode one and i was on the edge of my seat the whole time...i stayed up all night trying to finish all 9 episodes...i was so sleepy the next day...but what the heck, its all worth it.....i havent seen the taiwanese version and a lot of people said that its better than the japanese version...but i dont care......the actors are so good...specially the lead actress, tsuzuki and the lead actor, dumyoji....i thought oguri shun looks so gorgeous on this drama and he really displayed his acting abilities...it also showed the other parts of the japanese culture...its very unique...not like any other japanese highschool drama....this is like another side of the japanese culture we dont normally see on tv...but like most of the people who gave their reviews...i wish it was longer...i heard theres a part 2 on this...i hope so...cause im looking forward to it...
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] simply touching [Rating: 10/10] okay, this soap opera just made me wish i can speak and understand japanese. im so glad that channel 18 was showing it with subtitles or else ill be clueless. this one reminds me of a walk to remember but this is 10times better. as i watched the final episode last night i was bawling my heart out. i cant believed that i wont get to watch this soap opera anymore. anyways, the cast are superb specially the guy who played saku and also aki. i admired them and was deeply astounded by their talent. this is the first soap opera that made me cry. i was extremely touched on every word and every scene. its simply one of a kind!
