Bus stop [バスストップ] The modern version of "101 proposals". I loved this drama from start to end. The lead male character Uchimura Teruyoshi may not be much eye candy, but his energetic acting more than makes up for it. This show is touching because of him. His unrelenting determination will surely touch anyone, well at least those who can bear with his looks for a few episodes. This show has humour, love, touching moments all packed together in one. Iijima Naoko and Uchiyama Rina both looked and acted great in the show. And the theme song "not found" sounded fantastic and totally blended in with the show, driving both the plot and emotions on. To anyone who can bear with a non good looking male lead, GET THIS SHOW. You won't regret it.
GTO [麻辣教師] This is the best Jdrama in my opinion. This drama will be in most ppl's recommendation lists. If you havent watched it, watch it. nuff said.
Ikebukuro West Gate Park [池袋ウエストゲートパーク] This is the most unique drama i've seen. Its almost film style. There's of cool teen attitude is overflowing in this show, which is a good thing :>
Itazura na Kiss [イタズラなKiss] I totally enjoyed this show. A truely funny show (though there are some non funny jokes in it), with a great ending. A must watch classic.
Wakaba no koro [若葉のころ] I would rate this as a true classic. Great chemistry between all the actors and great plot. MUZ WATCH!

Fukuyama Masaharu [福山雅治] Extremely talented guy. I love alot of his songs, and after seeing bijo ka yajuu and hitotsu yane no shita, I can conclude this is the only artiste i really admire so far. He writes songs, sings, looks cool for the girls, a natural actor and freakin cool in his 2 roles i've seen so far, and i've heard he's even involved in photography. If i were a girl i think i would definitely fall for this kinda guy.
Aoi Tori [青い鳥] Good, but i dont see why it is so highly regarded [Rating: 8/10] This drama had great music, actors, emotional involvement, and i agree that it has great scenery, BUT what i look for in a drama most importantly is the plot and this one had 1 or 2 big loopholes in it. it is a good drama, but i was kinda disappointed as i had definitely seen dramas which are more touching and have a better story than this one. I had high expectations for it after reading the majority of the reviews here but it turned out to be a bit disappointing for me. I was very impressed with the male lead actor though. Really cool acting style throughout the whole show.

GTO [麻辣教師] Must be the best or one of the best shows i've see [Rating: 10/10] Outrageous humour, unbelievable plot, superb acting + touching moments considering the comedy that it is... I think this show sums up why jdramas are so unique and great. If anyone wanted to start watching jdramas i would recommend them to watch its first. Thats how good it is. So if you havent watched it yet, watch it!!
Hero Very interesting show [Rating: 10/10] Takuya was hyper cool in this one. This one had a fair share of humour and twists in it, and it never got boring. The chemistry between takuya and matsu is pretty good in this one... Also loved the ending song (can you keep a secret)
Itazura na Kiss [イタズラなKiss] Truely a classic show [Rating: 10/10] Great jokes, great storyline, interesting characters, touching, abit far fetched at times but mostly bearable. On top of that it has a very very touching ending. True classic you HAVE to watch.
Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji Season 2 [救命病棟２４時 ２] Nice show about a cool surgeon [Rating: 9/10] I really loved this show when i watched it. Eguchi was very cool in this show, yasuko also did a good job. Quite some touching moments. The ending was... well i didnt really like it... Eguchi shouldn't have been so cool :)
Mukodono 2003 [ムコ殿２００３] Bad [Rating: 4/10] The first one was miles better. Even if you didnt watch the first one i wouldnt recommend this. Lame and tries to be a touching show but 9 out of 10 times fail miserably. Only saving grave is tomoya and maybe noriko, but still, a miserable waste of time.
Over Time [オーバー・タイム] Great plot, great acting, love story with a twist [Rating: 9/10] The actors all did pretty good in this show, especially takashi. The music is superb... i believe is a great song, and the brilliant green just rules!! The ending is not really a happy ending, but i felt that it was a good and rather touching one
Taiyou wa shizumanai Great plot, addictive show [Rating: 10/10] This is one show i couldn't stop watching. loved the plot and the chemistry between takizawa and yasuko (its not a love story though). Many touching moments. I would say its a must watch.
Virgin Road [バージンロード] Takashi makes this show good [Rating: 9/10] This show has a good plot, but i think takashi and takeda(the girl's father) were the key elements in making this show good. The music is also good in this show (gotta love the theme song and the instrumental versions of it)
Wakaba no koro [若葉のころ] This must be one of the BEST shows i've ever watch [Rating: 10/10] No doubt this is one of the best storylines ever. The chemistry between dohmoto, koichi, and okina megumi is perfect... not only that, everyone in the show all performed great. This show really shows just how good kinki kids are. Its one of the shows which will make you watch episode after episode to find out what happens next and how it all ends. Everyone should watch this at least once! I rate it as a true classic.
Water Boys Season 2 [ウォーターボーイズ2] good... but just a clone [Rating: 7/10] Waterboys 2 is basically a clone of 1. It throws in almost the same roles played by different characters. I cant help but feel disappointed when i keep finding blatant similarities to 1. They also made it even more far fetched this time, although its supposed to be a happy go lucky show, i think they kinda overdid it abit.
small spoilers: (eg. 5 main characters/they always go to a bar/2 girls who likes the main character/alot of the moves during the final performance was the same as the first one/even the main theme is reused, albeit rearranged, and i yes prefer the original version of the song used in 1.)
This sequel only beats the first one in one aspect: eye candy. This time the main cast was really good eye candy, beating the first show totally. Other than that, i think the first show beats this sequel in every aspect.. I was touched when i finished seeing the final performance of 1. But not 2. Cos the final performance had too many moves similar to 1. When i saw them for the first time in 1, i thought "YES! they finally DID IT" , but it just isnt going to work when u do it a second time, almost copying moves from the first time.
I would only recommend this if u missed 1, though i would instead just go look for 1. Or u can watch it just for the eye candy. Its really good eye candy though.
