Asunaro hakusho [あすなろ白書] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) As I am a Takuya fan I rented this to see him in his early starring roles. Very weird, he was cute of course, but because he wasn't the main character, he didn't have his usual cool persona. Still it was a good drama, some sad parts, but again things get me so mad, I won't ellaborate too much, but it's that double standard on cheating, somehow women are supposed to accept it. C'mon!!
Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This was a very enjoyable drama. Sad, but good. Tissues neccessary. Watch it, I doubt yo'll be dissapointed.
Boku ga boku de aru tame ni [僕が僕であるために] Rating: 7/10 (Bought) This is so for a SMAP fan, which I am. So I liked it. Don't expect to much Something sad does happen though, upset me because I wanted him to have a happier ending. Hirosua Ryoko stars a Nakai chan's little sister, and Takuya is Mr. Super-duper cool. Shingo's very cute, and young, Goro's aloof, and seemingly a snob. and Nakai chan is the all around good guy with some spunk.
Fighting Girl [ファイティングガール] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) I liked the idea of this drama more than the drama itself. Head strong female takes control of her suroundings and makes things happen. Sounds good, but it was kinda draggy. Fukakyon was cute, and I liked her outfits, I also think this marks one of the earlier collaborations between Korea and Japan. It was fun, but not for everyone.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Rating: 10/10 (Bought) Long Vacation is the reason why I started watching dramas to begin with. The soundtrack is amazing, and the acting among the two main characters comes off very natural. Yamaguchi Tomoko was great, and Takuya was awfully cute. Great drama!!
Love Revolution [ラブレボリューション] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I just watched as it was showed on the International Channel. I liked, it, I couldn't quite catch everything that was happening dialogue-wise, so I was confused with the choice she made in the end, but Esumi Makiko looked beautiful in this drama (Fuji Naohito, and Oshio Manabu (?) weren't bad either!), I was relieved to see her bangs grown out from her Shomuni look, her hair was nicely styled throughout the drama. Oh wait! I forgot, she went back to that look later, arrggg!!!
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I know so many people love this drama, and I thought it was okay. Maybe if I could understand more of Nanako and Takky's conversations it would mean more to me. I just found the love aspect to be a little unbelievable, or maybe I'm remembering it wrong. They didn't, to me, look neccessarily happy together, and I found it hard to believe that they loved each other enough to go through what they did for each other. It wasn't for me I guess.
Messengers [メッセンジャー] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Another Thumbs-up for me. This is a Movie, starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi(SMAP), and Ijima Naoko. It's about a successful, snobby woman. Having everything taken away from her in the blink of an eye, and haveing to work with people she normally looks down upon. I liked this alot. For one, Tsuyoshi, played a chracter totally different from the sweet doormat types he usually plays. He was tanned, aggressive, and fast on that bike. Not oscar worthy. But a nice movie, with lots of Bicycle action.
Miss Cinderella Rating: 7/10 (Watched) This is the first drama I ever watched on TV, I assume it was more for an older crowd as teh actors were all more mature. But I enjoyed it. At the same time thought It annoyed me to no end on how polite you're supposed to be to someone living in your house who treats you like dirt. That would not be me. And the double standard, of "it's okay for men to cheat, but not okay form women", even though they have to put up with so much more. Sure he goes to work, but he gets a rest when he comes home, but not her, she has to deal with his mean nasty mother, and then him as he neglects her, it's infuriating. But at the same time it had a good ending, and I like the the theme song, "Don't let me Down", By Fuji Fumiya. It gave me insight to family life in Japan... It stars the guy who played Kimura Takuya's brother in Love Generation.
Nemureru mori [眠れる森] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) This drama, I'm sure was very good, but I have no access to subtitles when watching, so I missed a great deal of details and clues with in this suspencful drama. The visuals were good though, and I caught alot of what was being said. Eeery and an overall great drama. I think you should have access to subtitles though, or have a good grasp of the Japanese language. a lot of things get missed in the dialogue when you don't understand it all.
Star no Koi [スタアの恋] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) I love this drama. It was so sweet, and funny. It made me a fan of Fujiwara, and though I've always liked Tsuyoshi, I have gained and even greater esteem for him after watching this drama. Romantics, this is a drama for you. It was completely enjoyable for me and it never got too melo dramatic The comedic scenes were well placed, Fujiwara was beautiful, and did a very good job switching up acting styles within the drama. Tsuyoshi was very sweet and very likable. Believe it or not it didn't seem so far-fetched that Fujiwara's character would fall for Tsuyoshi's character. He was very endearing. It left me with such a good feeling when it was over. The end does not dissapoint. Oh, Shingo has a cameo in the drama as well.
Virgin Road [バージンロード] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I liked this drama, but it moved to slowly for me, I'm such a romantic, and this...wasn't romantic. It was still good though, the actors did a good job. And I'm a Namie Amuro fan, so more points for the opening theme song!
With love Rating: 9/10 (Bought) With Love...Not the best drama, frankly the girl got on my nerves, but Yutaka...he was too sexy for words. I bought it just for him. The story follows in the footsteps of "You've got Mail", except you don't have the cute Meg Ryan as a lead character.
This is a must for Yutaka fans!!!
Yomigaeru kinro [蘇る金狼] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Hmmm...how to describe this drama...A thriller? Well I'm sure that's what it was supposed to be, but I thought it was funny. Shingo looked good in the drama, but very many scenes that were supposed to be suspenceful, weren't, and I didn't really feel much sympathy for a lot of the characters. This however, marks a growth of Shingo, and I'm a big fan of his, so I liked it anyway. It wasn't bad, but I couldn't take it as seriously as I'm sure I should have.

Fighting Girl [ファイティングガール] I liked the idea [Rating: 7/10] I liked this drama. Granted, there wasn't much to it, but I thought the portrayal of this headstrong girl was cool. I like alot of the outfits as well, and was very happy to see an actress with some curves, this being Fukada Kyoko. It could have been much better, and the end really did nothing for me. But again I liked the idea, and the message that it sent.
Star no Koi [スタアの恋] Loved this Drama!! [Rating: 10/10] I loved this drama, I don't comepletely understand Japanese, but this drama is easy to follow without being boring. All who enjoy romantic comedies will love this one. I have to say, that the summary given above isn't all that accurate, it's more of an surprise meeting rather than a coincidence. I only have a couple of dramas in my collection (One's that I can watch over and over again) and I think I can add this drama to that collection. I sooo reccomend this to any and all who enjoy a good love story, a very satisfying drama. The supporting cast is very funny if not crazy. I could go on and on, but I'll stop here, please see it for yourself, you won't be sorry, that is, if you're a romantic comedy fan.
