the drama was well-made and promoted worker ethics...i enjoyed it a lot...humorous most of the time, but doesn't forget the serious parts...wigged twist near the end (made me go holy frig!)...bad stuff is that they dragged a lil near the middle and not romantic enuff...nanako did a superb performance while the other guy held his own as well... | Bijo ka Yajuu [美女か野獣]

beginning and last 4 eps were pretty good....kinda dragged a bit in the middle...ryoko hirosue and yutaka did a fair job...nothing spectacular...the show was humorous with some serious scenes thrown into the mix...to be honest, ryoko seemed a bit too loud and whiny at times, i wus surprised at the solid contrast from yuki to chiyo...but when shes smiling and being happy, she still has that cute charm of hers...not as much as in summer snow though...this was the first one i saw yutaka...he seems to deliver what is needed...but doesn't add much....drama deserves a viewing... | Golden Bowl [ゴールデンボウル]

another decent takuya drama starring a very solid casting....the 4 leads portrayed their characters quite well (takuya, shinichi and hitomi did fantastic although i wus hoping more from teh usual icy kou), alongside funny, and good supporting cast (rina wus cute at times but most of teh time friggin annoying but shes jokes nonetheless, same with ota and june guys, pretty funny)...storywise, pretty predictable throughout teh beginning and middle, the end episodes peaked the interest again but with foreseen results...all in all, i rate it 8.5, a bit behind beauty or beast.... | GTO [麻辣教師]

Amusing courtroom drama...Kimutaku plays his usual role and looks pretty good...Takako gotta lose teh glasses to look better (as takuya said in show as well)...the supporting cast did a really good job (that Abe guy is fuuuuuuunny)...drama basically about a few cases that kimutaku and his bureau takes on and solves against the odds...romance wise not much...ending wus kinda meh...still pretty funny...watch it when u have the time | Iryu [医龍 Team Medical Dragon]

i rate this drama 8.5. it has simply the best OST i ever heard in a japanese drama. it's kinda like the anime initial d. without the european/japanese pop/dance music accompanying the races, it just wouldn't be as good. same with the OST here, it integrates the different scenes of Iryu soooo seamlessly be it sad/happy/intense/surgery moments. to be honest without the music, i'd probably only give this drama a 7.5 only. but the OST just pumped up the drama rating to an 8.5. i especially digged the song "Red Dragon", sucha wicked mix of rock and orchestra instruments. it got my blood pumping during the surgeries.
Sakaguchi Kenji was a suitable choice to play the main role. He does have a commanding aura to take such a role. he always looks ready to own when he's prepped up to operate. he has room for further improvement but he has improved since the last time i saw him playing a small-time gangsta in IWGP.
Teppei looked like "Small Turtle", a geeky looking HK actor who played small roles in Stephen Chow movies in early 1990s. hahaha. he was ok.
Izumi played her no-nonsense role pretty effectively. but i thought her character was pretty stupid not to dig Kenji and to continue liking the other guy. obviously a blind woman. The rest of the side characters weren't too bad.
give this underlooked drama a try. it may not have the hottest actor/actress in it, but i find it fairly entertaining. and keep your ears open for the nice OST accompanying the different scenes. |

i liked the boxin and fighting music...fits pretty well...tsuyoshi looks pretty cool in this one...struttin out physique and boxing power, actin wise pretty good as well, as teh lonewolf...kyoko...well...she wus her normal self, kinda chubby, annoying and cute at times...hara looked kinda ape-ish for some reason when she has her hair up...haH, her acting was alrite...supporting cast was ok...plotwise pretty typical la...most of teh fightin scenes pretty cool...if you're into Tsuyoshi (he looks best in this one, outta the 3 dramas i've seen him in so far) or Kyoko (she looks pretty wacky compared to the more recent ones i've seen her in), then i guess u shud give this one a shot...otherwise, this is not worth your time...unless you're up for some action drama with predictable plot devices | Love generation [ラブジェネレーション]

One of my favorites (only have 3 as of now)...kimutaku and takako did a wigged job....moved at a decent pace...lotsa cute romantic moments...music was nice as well...the piano versions of the songs very good...watch for sheeeeezy |

First of all, I was surprised how I neglected this drama completely for soooo long...until like last week, when i felt really bored and watched this good show. Anus! Holy frig...minus one for the stupidly tragic ending....minus another one for not having enough romantic scenes between yuki and natsuo...aside from those bad points, yeap, this show is awesome...trying to figure out that catchy guitar tune during those sentimental scenes right now... | Summer snow

After watching it again, i've boosted it bak to where it wus suppose to be. I guess first time, i watched it, i got really angry at the ending, cuz i like "happy happy, no one dies" endings. thus explaining the bad "-1" second time around, i realized that this drama deserves the 9. must-watch for sure....seriously solid acting all around...the songs although didn't catch onto me much...after hearing them again, i'm trying to figure out all the guitar parts of each tune in the show. the doctor i thought wus a fag...he better not get yuki in the future....holy! |

good music helps out in creating a light but suspenseful mood for this drama. nakama and abe have great chemistry together and have a lot of jokes moments together. the drama has a lot of bizaare moments but it jus adds to its originality.
some boring parts though but for the most part it was interesting to find out how each "trick" worked and how the detective duo go after the clues and figure them out

another family-oriented drama from tomoya...this one is about earning trust again (as with mukodono), complete with sentimental liners from everyone...pretty good...a bonus is that theres anime in this drama as well
