Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) good, funny, a lot of good characters; but extremely predictable, and i absolutely hate "matsumoto puke" so he brought the rating down, for me.
GTO [麻辣教師] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) really good, but never finished watching for some reason..
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [花ざかりの君たちへ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) awesome, halarious, so much fun. i really just couldn't stop watching this. the character nakatsu is absolutely wonderful. as usual, the main girl character kinda irritated me and her smile was always really fake looking (did she even go to acting school or what?) but i could overlook it since the rest of the show was just so fun (albiet ridiculous) and good.
Last Friends [ラスト・フレンズ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) so dramatic! hated michiru to death, but the other actors were excellent and the drama successfully had me in a swirl of emotions (i cried a lot) love this drama
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) i really liked this one. this is my first Kimura Takuya drama, and he doesn't say that much in the drama but i liked him. i was glad the main girl character didn't piss me off, but instead she was fun and strong and vunerable at the same time. i hated the character Ryoko, but... anyway the drama is really good, and the first episode really interested me and made me want to keep watching
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) pretty good, a really good cast, in my opinion. silly, fun, and funny. the musical performances were great and the development of the orchestras were fun and fulfilling to watch. I think Ueno is a great actress, but her character nodame was getting pretty annoying towards the end. after a while i just wanted her to be normal and not a freaking weirdo anymore. and the lisp kinda made me twitch. Eita was again excellent, as always, and the main character whom i've never seen before was quite good as well. overall a really good story
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) this was a great drama. Again we see Eita in a fantastic role, and i liked the main character. In the beginning the drama made me uneasy because of the fact that the main character had a gf and the couple was acting in ways that felt borderline unfaithful to me, which made me upset (haha); the character Sae was a bitch in my opinion, which also tended to piss me off. The other characters were great and the story line was also really good. I picked up quite a lot of sign language from watching this! Overall, it was great and i really enjoyed it.

Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット] possibly the worst drama ever [Rating: 1/10] Where to begin!? the plot was idiotic, boring and the main characters were completely pathetic and as someone else put it, made you want to beat the shit out of them. This is the first thing I've seen koyuki in and frankly i thought she sucked. As for matsumoto PUKE; he's a terrible actor, he's hideous, and he should never disgrace tv with his sickening face ever again. In Japan i couldn't even stand to see him in commercials let alone watch him in a whole hour of crappy drama. The only redeeming quality of this drama is that Eita is in it, if only as a minor character (Junpei). Please don't waste your time on this drama. It was so stupid that halfway thru episode 5, I had to skip to the last one, hoping that the ending might somehow save the show but instead I could only bare to watch 25 minutes and threw out the entire drama. People keep saying that it's only good if you're a girl, but guess what? I'm a girl, and it's horrible. The only reason people seem to like this is because they have some sick fetish for matsumoto puke. He's not even good in Gokusen, he's just bareable- but at least the rest of Gokusen was good and the other characters made up for his suckiness.
anyhow, if it was possible to give a zero for this, I would.
Last Friends [ラスト・フレンズ] Great acting [Rating: 9/10] So often main female characters really piss me off in dramas, and this was no exception. I absolutely hated michiru, and i don't know if this was the target reaction to the character or not. The rest of the actors were awesome. Eita is always wonderful, and Ueno was really spectacular. Except for michiru, the characters really endeared themselves to me. The actor playing Sousuke did excellent- he really made me hate the character.
For me, though the drama was really melodramatic, I quite enjoyed it. I agree it is messy in places but when i watched it I really got into it and it had my emotions in a frenzy the enitre time- a really good response. I couldn't wait to watch it every week (wednesdays at 10!!) Of course, it was the first drama I watched while in Japan, so some of my judgement may be clouded due to this emotional attachment...!
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Great [Rating: 9/10] This was a great drama with great actors. The first episode really pulls you in and makes you want to keep watching. The characters were well developed and the story-line was plausible, cute, and fun. There was a good mix of seriousness and fun, and it wasn't too heavy. I would definately reccomend this drama. It's also fun to see the 90's style clothes!
