 Home & Away [ホーム＆アウェイ]
Very good except for the end [Rating: 9/10]
This drama is about the main character's journey home and helping people along the way. All the stories are very interesting as we see her do all sorts of jobs and solve people's problems. The subplot about her brother and her two friends is also very good. Unfortunately the last 2 episodes are a letdown and spoil this otherwise perfect drama.
SPOILER: They should not have put the fiancee in the story as the story is about her relationship with her father and did not build up anything on her marriage. It should have ended with her wedding without showing her fiancee's face. The people that she helped should have made an appearance in the last episode to help her in order to give it a sense of closure. | Kochira Dai San Shakaibu
Very average show [Rating: 5/10]
Similar to Beauty or Beast but poorly executed. The show is about a group of people working in a newspaper. The show deals with social issues but the writing is abysmal. Every episode centres on 1 character but nothing interesting comes out of it. Worse, there are hanging plot threads at the end of it. Stay away. |

One of the best jdoramas I have watched. Great acting all around especially the father character. The father is different from your typical jdrama otousans because he is more flawed and an asshole. The plot is nothing special but it is the well rounded characters that truly make this a very good drama. Highly recommended | Tengoku ni ichiban chikai otoko [天国に一番近い男]

Pretty good drama similar to Home and Away where the main character has a different mission each episode. Though the individual stories are not as good as Home and Away, the overall story is better and it has a decent ending. The character of Tendou is very memorable. |
