Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚] Worth Watching [Rating: 7/10] Dekichatta Kekkon was funny and worth watching. The scene when Takenouchi supposedly proposed to Hirosue was hillarious. | Hatachi no kekkon [20歳の結婚] Quite Enjoyable [Rating: 8/10] Okay, I admit it. I enjoyed Hatachi no Kekkon primarily because I like watching Yuka. The story line was good - lighthearted and comical. I recommend this dorama. |
Long vacation [ロングバケーション] Don't miss it [Rating: 10/10] If you're going to watch just one J Drama, you gotta watch Long Vacation. This has to be one of the best dramas ever produced. Fabulous story line and the characters were greatly portrayed by an all star cast. I especially enjoyed Inamori's character. She was hilarious. Trust me, go rent this one!! | Love and peace [ラブアンドピース] Worth watching [Rating: 8/10] Show was quite funny. Story line was almost manga like. Catchy theme song by Tokio which of course Matsuoka is a drummer for. |
Love complex [ラブコンプレックス] Strangest thing I've ever seen [Rating: 5/10] What drug was the writer on when the story was written? Whoa, this was one weird drama. It was like One Flew over a Cuckoo's Nest except the characters were wearing designer's clothing and not straight jackets.
| Love generation [ラブジェネレーション] Gotta Watch [Rating: 9/10] This is #2 on my all time list behing LV. Every episode was fast moving and entertaining. My favorite scene was the morning after Kimura and Matsu did the - you know what - and Matsu's character Riko started writing on Kimura's character Teppei's refrigerator and started writing "Teppei su---" and Teppei thought Riko was writing "Teppei suki" only to find that she wrote "Teppei sukebe." I couldn't stop laughing. Great theme song too. |
Mama chari deka (keiji) [ママチャリ刑事!] Barrell of laughs [Rating: 9/10] This has to be one of the funniest doramas I have seen. My stomach still hurts from all the laughing. If you like to laugh, go watch Mama chari deka. | Mukashi no otoko [昔の男] Not highly recommended [Rating: 4/10] If you like love triangles and enjoyed Kinyoubi no Koibito, you may like Mukashi no Otoko. I didn't. I did like the part when Arashi and Akari broke up (one of many times) and symbolized their split by deleting each other's names from the cell phones. Very 21st Century. |
Otousan [おとうさん] Pretty Good [Rating: 8/10] This is probably a sequel to Oyajii, which also starred Tamura Masakazu and Hirosue Ryoko. Otousan was less light-hearted but was equally entertaining. How can you not like a drama with Iijima Naoko, Nakatani Miki, Hirosue Ryoko and Fukada Kyoko. I highly recommend this one. | Perfect love [パーフェクトラブ!] Definitely Worth Watching [Rating: 8/10] This was a fun dorama. Fukuyama and Kimura made a nice pair. Hatano Hiroko did a nice job in this. She's cute. She comes out in a few dramas with Kimura Yoshino. Yusuke Santamaria always makes me laugh. Maybe it's his silly name? Kinpachi Sensei's Takeda Testuya did a good job as Fukuyama's father. Takeda always has a Kyushu-ben doesn't he? Good theme song by Glay and the Matsumoto Eiko version of Fukuyama's song Squall was pretty nice. I think I like Matsumoto's version than Fukuyama's original. |
Rennai Kekkon no Hosoku [恋愛結婚の法則] Very funny [Rating: 8/10] This is a really good comedy. I always liked Kyon Kyon but Yanagiba was hillarious. He normally plays a cold heartless character like in Bus Stop and Ashita ga aru. But in this, he played a goofy country bumpkin out to win Kyon Kyon's heart. Go watch this, it's worth it. | |
