A stirring and exciting drama, where the men are not protagonists. Highly recommended! Ditch the soapy korean period dramas, those are nowhere as good as this one! Fast-paced, subtle, touching, exhilarating battles among women, with humorous little snippets injected everywhere. And did I mention that the women and their kimonos are glittering from beauty? |
2. | Comments by ume [Rating: 5/10] The main leading woman is annoying. Actually this is kind of boring compared to the first one. I am QUICKLY tiring of the same things going on and on all the time. Too much emphasis on the king's childhood, not enough on the women. Except the locked up one.....which was boring. |
3. | Comments by atheon [Rating: 9/10] Jan 2005: This is actually the first japanese historical drama i've ever watched, this drama is fast paced, with intersting storyline, well how the girls fight for their status in Ooku, btw, hoshino mari is getting prettier, no more chubby face =D. |
4. | Comments by icpmat [Rating: 7/10] I saw some episodes of Narita Rikon and I can't believe Sato Asaka was in it!! She seems to be another one of these actresses whose face gains significant inches and area with time. (another representative is Shinohara Ryoko) |
5. | Comments by oldasianguy [Rating: 10/10] Of all the Ooku shows, I liked this one the best...Matsushita Yuki"s performance had me in awe...as she fought her way to be the top- nanny....such loyality.... |
6. | Comments by kinki_txr [Rating: 9/10] This is my first drama where the drama is not modern. I am so glued to this drama. No wonder it is a hit in Japan itself. |
