Now, this dorama is a perfect example of that! Where else could you have a whole series depicting banks for what they really are (the portmanteau "banksters" immediately comes to mind!) and thus having a bank's big gun as the villain, all the while having as the totally improbable heroes an old guy, a young and inexperienced fellow and two incredibly funny yakuza? Nowhere else, ne? ^_^;
Particularly worthy of praise, as always, Nagase Tomoya's performance, but also Kohinata Fumiyo's and Matsushige Yutaka's - who add some much needed comic relief moments (plus, one of the most tragic and romantic scenes ever!) - and last but not least, Okamoto Aya's; besides, she's to die for in this, period. The only reason why I don't give this beautiful dorama a full 10/10 is (WARNING: little SPOILER ahead!) that I'm a bit dissatisfied with the ending; after having built up all that tension with such a despicable S.O.B. of villain, I'd personally want said villain to be utterly crushed, disgraced, humiliated, destroyed at the end (Kusturica's "Black Cat, White Cat" comes to mind, if you know what I'm saying, LOL). This "let's give the guy a hand" just doesn't sit right with me... |
2. | Comments by yume [Rating: 6/10] Who says that stocks can't be made into a fast-paced, entertaining drama? They did it in an American movie with G. Rabisi and they're doing it in a drama called Big Money! in Japan! Nagase Tomoya plays yet another quick-mouthed, young, listless guy looking for something to do, but the scenario of Big Money! is AT FIRST, different from his others, but quickly falls into the typical quick-mouthed, lackdaisical youth. By episode 3, you begin to see that Nagase is to be the hero with various too-staged scenarios of needy people and money. It's enjoyable except for that. |
3. | Comments by maui [Rating: 9/10] Finished the whole series in 30 hours! At first i don't think i will love this series too much when i read the synopsis but that's wrong.This fast paced drama got me hooked and can't wait to know what will happen in each episode.Tomoya Nagase is a great chosen for the hero role cause he made me enjoy this series even more.If you like inspirational story like Koi ni Ochitara you will love this series too. |

What more can you ask from a Japanese dorama? Enjoyed it very much, finished the whole thing in 2 days! :p |
5. | Comments by xploring [Rating: 6/10] Very average drama, slow and doesn't delve deeply into stockbroking. Not sure why I finished it. Nagase Tomoya looked cool but not much else. Harada Taizo was mildly interesting but ultimately unconvincing in the rogue trader role, and the girls only provided eye candy. |
6. | Comments by Signo [Rating: 7/10] the financial topic was interesting, although some aspects are very unrealistic and false (banking system, law). the cast was great, even the side roles! worth watching. |
7. | Comments by Hee Hee Hee [Rating: 9/10] nice nice!!! i love this drama..! interesting on stocks...& tomoya is so kakoii!!!no love stuff here ...v exciting drama |
8. | Comments by maguro666 [Rating: 9/10] Excellent plot and super kakoii nagase tomoya. He looks even better in this drama than both mukudono series. |
9. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 8/10] Very well done drama. Not so much about stocks and banks as it is about the little guy beating the big guy. |
10. | Comments by Eyeyore [Rating: 8/10] this show really taught me how to invest in shares and don't trust your banker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
11. | Comments by 100aw [Rating: 7/10] Worth watching just for Nagase Tomoya. A show about banking and stocks/shares. |
