My favorite jdorama actor. He has the face of many men. His hyped-up looney role as Uhci drawed my action. At first I didn't even notice him. Not until the episode he planned on dropping out. Thats when I became interested in the man behind the character. Rui in HYD is a completely different role from Uchi and from his character in Summer Snow. He proves that he can do more then just the same kinda role over and over. Plus his braids and cornrows in Gokusen made him look really good. XD
He gives off a very strong presence even in characters who have no lines, like his role in Densha Otoko. Although I'm still not sure what his characters profession was being around all those computers. He who captures many people by not talking is a powerful actor. Or unless those fans a just going "Kawaii, Kawaii, Kawaii." His role in Stand Up is very comical. Although the show itself is not one of my favorites, his character is. His desperate-ness, wanting to loose his virginty, shy yet assertiveness was one pretrayed very well. Although any of his characters could have been played by someone else. I wouldn't remember them if it had not be for Shun. He gets into his character. Acts as if it's really him. Never over does it, its just right. Though he is becoming very popular now, his popularity will rise as years pass. A great young actor I've seen that doesn't belong to a pop group: Oguri Shun. |

I first saw Shun in Gokusen playing Uchiyama Haruhiko - a tough guy with a heart of gold. Uchi was kinda scary with his blonde hair and devil-may-care attitude, but he made me cry. Now only a very good actor like Shun can do that.
I was a bit skeptical when I found out that he's playing the quiet Hanazawa Rui in Hana Yori Dango... but he pulled it off. From a toughie to a serious, laid-back guy... now that's versatility! One can't help but fall in love with the character Hanazawa, whom Shun has brought to life so convincingly.
Oguri-san seems to have a lot of confidence as an actor. He deserves to go farther in the industry. |

This guy is my idol. I mean - he was landed with great roles and different roles adding to that. I first saw him played the bullied Noboru in GTO; then saw him as the cool Nachi in Azumi movies; he also played the deaf Jun in Summer Snow; the tough guy Ushi in Gokusen; and the cool-headed Rui in HanaDan. All great roles and each different. I would be not surprised if he gets leading roles sooner or later. He has the talent. But what really surprised me (partly ticked me - but i guess she's in good hands) is he is the boyfriend of my favorite Morning Musume, Mari Yaguchi :P |

Oguri shun...he's simply amazing. He's got a commanding presence, strong acting skills, versatility, charisma, and an inevitable supply of sexiness. He could secure votes by his acting alone - there's that added little something in his performances that you can't describe but can only experience. Whatever it is, it stays with you, making you want to watch him more. He's a natural superstar that deserves to have his talent show-cased more openly throughout the entire world, and the best thing about this wish is: it's so not impossible for him. Ganbatte Oguri Shun!!! |

i admit he's not drop-dead gorgeous (good-looking & cute nevertheless :D ), but i'm passing him a vote coz of his versatility as an actor - i havent watched all his dramas yet, but i'm looking forward to. he has done a range of roles. from a vulnerable punch-bag kid in gto, to a half-deaf brother in summer snow (amazingly convincing), to a gangster kid in gokusen, to a clueless semi-popular guy in stand up, now his latest is a real cool & attractive hanazawa rui in hana yori dango. and i must admit, he really brought all the characters to life. |

loved him instantly after GTO and even more after Summer Snow. if you watch GTO then see the GTO tv special (done a few months later, i think) you see Oguri suddenly SOOO much taller!!! haha. He's a great actor (not to mention really cute) and I love that his charas are all so diff (GTO as bullied Nobu, Summer Snow as deaf ototou, Hana Yori Dango as cool Hanazawa Rui, Gokusen as gangsta-wannabe Uchi). I'm still waiting to see him in Stand Up! He's a versatile actor who plays many diff roles, but all of them cool and always doing a great job. |

HANA YORI DANGO - this is when i absolutely fell in love with him! he was so good as hanazawa rui! *drools*....
SUMMER SNOW --> ..i actually have only seen 2 eps. i didn't like his hair...but oguri is still oguri <LOVE LOVE LOVE> and he played the deaf character really well...
STAND UP ---> hmm...he looked good and had a nice character...but i just didn't like the drama...
WATERS --> haha. havent seen this yet!...but i want to!! |

A good actor can be recognized from the selection of movies he played. Sadly, some ended up with stereotyped roles... but the brilliant one has the guts to take the challages by playing diverse kind of roles. Oguri Shun is surely a brilliant actor. He played convincingly as Jun-kun in Summer Snow, a smart and tallented highschool student with a serious hearing problem, which showing the sensitive side of him perfectly. As Uchiyama in Gokusen, Shun shocks us to see him played as a brat, which he did perfectly either. He's surely something! |

I love him! He has those certain striking features which I think you wouldn't really find in the typical attractive guy (but he's cute), but who cares. This guy can act! I've seen him in a lot of roles he has played, and I must say that the transition from one role to another isn't really easy, and yet, I am satisfied by how he plays them all. I'm looking forward to more from Shun as he definitely goes in my top favorite actors list :) |

watched him since GTO (when he was 16 yrs old), it's amazing looking how much he has grown taller and mature over these years,his performances in "Summer Snow", "Gokusen", "Stand Up", and to recent "HYD","Hanakimi". And not to mention, his versatile performances in movies, "The Neighbour No.13"�C, "Azumi" and to recent "Crows Zero".He's making his career even bigger these days,and i believe he's gonna do even better ahead in future! |

Great actor, no doubt about it, one of the few guys with "ikemen" look and good acting skills. I watched him in GTO, Azumi, Fire Boys, Hana Kimi, Hana Yori Dango, Densha Otoko(small part), Summer Snow, Binbou Danshi, Ghost Train, Stand Up, Tajomaru, Gokusen - The Movie, Tokyo Dogs, Crows 0/Crows 0 II and Gokusen; but my favorite performance by him is Takya Genji in the movie Crows 0 and Crows 0 II, he was really great in it. |

I first saw him in Stand up and then in Gokusen. Already at that time I thought that his acting is really great. By watching Summer Snow it was confirmed! It just looked so real when he played the brother with the hearing problem! Even with the way he was speaking!
And at the moment he plays the kakkoii Hanazawa Rui in Hana Yori Dango, which is again performed VERY well <3
I hope to see MUCH more of him in the future!!!! |

Talk about Good Looks with the right amount of Talents and Attitude. He's the perfect package for an admirable actor. If I'd bet on who's Jap actor that would make it BIG, that would be Shun Oguri. Maybe he's halfway to it. I am looking forward to his movie with tarantino in the cast. (That is something a film enthusiast like me to watch for.)

And Shun is someone that EVERYONE has to watch for. TRUST me on that. |

i just love this actor! i first saw him as nobu in GTO and ever since hearing how much he has grown in summer snow i became more curious about him. when i finally saw him again in gokusen that's the time i really became a fan...he's such a great actor, i think that any roles suit him even haircut! he can be wacky and loud or serious and quiet. plus he is super good-looking! he is really my no.1 favorite j-actor! |

It seems like this guy is in EVERY drama I watch. He's got a different face everytime I see him. I first saw him in Gokusen and I thought he was hot, then I saw him in Summer Snow and I did not recognize him!!! Shun is the best!!! I never would have believed he was in Summer Snow if I didn't see him in the casting list... And in Hana Yori Dango... HANAZAWA RUI!!! He is sooo Prince Charming!!!! |

While he didn't wow me in Gokusen or Hana Yori Dango... yes, he was silent, he was sexy, he was suave... but there was nothing endearing, you know?, he absolutely astonished me in Summer Snow. His speech impairment seemed completely real, and even though my Japanese is not up to par, I could defintely tell that he was doing an excellent job. What an amazing actor they picked for Summer Snow! |

i like this actor i saw him in AZUMI2, and he is my crush, and my friends going crazy when Shun Oguri saw in AZUMI2. sana mag karoon pa ng AZUMI part 3... i like the movie so much!!! and i hope i can watch other movie of Shun Oguri... i love you Shun!!! I felt little sympathy for the character in the manga, but in the drama, Oguri Shun managed to make me cry for his character... not for the story, not for the circumstances, but for the character and how lonely he was. He played Sano Izumi perfectly, too. P.S. Oguri Shun is unbearably sexy! I think he's my type. |

in my opinion the most talented Japanese actor. he can play such a huge variety of roles. he juss, i dunno, like draws ppl to him. even when he's only a supporting character, I end up looking for him in all the scenes and completely ignoring the main characters. I really hope he gets to like star in a drama soon, cuz he really deserves it. |

Impressive actor with a wide range of roles to his active already. He was perfect in Summer Snow. He is also always good even as a supporting charater for minor roles which he has so many to his actove now.
Not to forget mentioning one of his latest roles in Hana Yori Dango... he IS Hanazawa Rui... they couldn`t have picked better |

I think Shun is a really good actor, saw him first in HYD as Rui, calm and all, and then I saw him in Stand Up!! as a desperate virgin and then in Gokusen as a cool blonde. man he can play all kinds of roles! he's hot too. but you can see that there is something behind the handsome surface, and that's the most important thing. |

A very versatile actor that has played so many different roles in popular dramas such as "GTO", "Summer Snow", and "Gokusen". It's amazing how he has gone from the shy school boy to the boy with hearing problems to the bad boy of the school and he pulls each role off convincingly. ^_^ I hope to see him in more doramas. |

Like other people I saw him in GTO, but he really stood out for me in Summer Snow. The way that he altered his speach to play the near-deaf brother was impressive. Even more impressive was his switch to a more flamboyant bad-boy character in Gokusen. Amazing character acting and I can't wait for him to land a lead. |

He was the mysterious cool guy in DenshaOtoko and then now the quiet, kakkoi Rui in HyD!! I hope to see more of him! |

i was amazed at how far he's come! from being the little kid everyone picked on (GTO) to a partially-deaf boy (Summer Snow) to a rebellious punk (Gokusen) to a hopeless virgin (Stand Up!!) to a ladies man (Hana Yori Dango). he can play both serious roles and comedic roles very well. expect great things from him |

Yay! ogurrrrrrrrri shuN! for every character he takes on, he draws his audience in 100%. he is very in tune with his parts and makes it that much more convincing. suuuuuuch a great actor and so young too! i see big success for him in the future! *the fact that he's drop dead gorgeous is just a bonus! * =] |
