Ep 143 of Oshin now! No more subs, so I'll have to be patient.

Glad she'll be leaving the Tanokura's now. I can't forgive the mum in law for being that evil! Cinderella has definitely lost her first place in the saddest family member department
Yuko Tanaka is my hero! Loved her in other roles (The Milk woman!), but as young Oshin she shone like no asadora heroine I know! Except maybe Nounen Rena, but she'll have to proof herself in the future still.

I have the whole thing subbed.
WAtching Jumbo! Town Doctor.
Its not Doctor X but its fun, the main actor is good as a sarcastic but talented Doctor. _________________

I've been watching Shitsuren Chocolatier, Boku no Ita Jikan and Ashita Mama ga Inai (Miura Shohei ).
I'm looking forward to watching this Midnight Rain everybody's been talking about, though.

Midnight Rain is one of my all time favorite Mediacal dramas.
Ep 10 of Jumbo! Town doctor. Really enjoying it. _________________
About half way thru the last episode I thought they were going to screw it up and turn it into a 'happily ever after' ending which given the subject is pretty much impossible. But the last ten minutes they didn't pull any punches and they showed how things really are. Miura was great and Tabe Mikako did the best job I've seen from her so far. Not a 'warm fuzzy' drama at all, but still very well done.

That's it!!! When I first started watching it I thought "Haven't these two been together in something before?" But when I couldn't remember right away I forget about it. Thanks for the reminder!!

Episode 7 of 'Kinkyu Torishirabeshitsu'. The subplot about Yuki's deceased husband is heating up. Kohinata seems to be on her side but Yuki would be wise to remember what Joe Mantegna said in 'House of Games': "Don't never trust nobody."

With much appreciation from me, Eve. I didn't know you are main subber for Oshin. I wouldn't have been able to watch it repeatedly otherwise.
Lol. I wish i was that talented. I didn't mean I subbed the series. I have it subbed on DVD.
If you couldn't find them I could send them to you.
Meanwhile it's been a tough week around here so I've gone for extremely light and fluffy yet catchy. Watching Mischeivious Love: Lone in Tokyo
High school romance. Comedy. Not so cool but super cute girl wins the top of elite boys. Falls down often from that clumsy Asan girl problem. Wins the tennis match. Any paradoxes here. Anyway it works and it's cheering me up. Almost done. _________________

Finished 'Ashita Mama ga Inai'. Once they toned things down after that first episode it turned out to be pretty good. The kids were all good and Ashida was great. It only went nine episodes and the ending to me felt a little rushed, could have used one more episode to explain things a little better.

It turns out Posto is Mikami's daughter which we find out literally in the last two minutes. So who was her Mom? What happened to her? But we don't find out anything.
I wonder if all the fuss and protests caused by the first episode didn't make them just decide to wrap it up early.

Wow I haven't been here for a long time! How's everybody doing?
Alice no Toge and Mozu seem to interest me the most this season from their trailers. I'm starting Mozu's episode 1 and I'll let you guys know how it goes. _________________

Gokuaku Ganbo episode 1. Good acting all round, especially by Ono Machiko and Miura Tomokazu, but the execution and flow feels awkward at times. It's clear the production team is not used to making this type of drama. The story telling is clear and easy to follow though. I like the cast and will continue watching.
