Just ignore my ugly pants and concentrate *up here*"
I have a writer friend who is a subject matter expert of fashion (plus he's Asian and gay which makes him reliable source!). I sent him the picture of Takeno in his flood pants and he said the "barely there trouser lengths" is quite big in Japan influenced by Thom Browne, an eccentric American designer known for his Crazed Preppie/Pee Wee Hermanesque outfits. He concluded by saying Japanese men are so fashion-forward! I can handle it as long as Yutaka doesn't wear one of those awful cowl neck sweaters.......

here's the designer:

Wow. That explains it all. Never figured Yutaka for someone who blindly follows trends, but *shrug* he is a former fashion model after all so I suppose fashion is something that interests him.
It's still ugly as heck.
Thank you for this Deirdre! What did your friend think of Yutaka?

He and I have both discussed what a splendid speciman Yutaka is. Both of us love his hands--long, slender, tapered fingers (ooh!) And like me, my friend also agrees that Yuta is aging beautifully!
He and I also share a similar fangirl crush on Takeshi Kaneshiro. No arguing good taste there!!!

Yutakagr! So happy to hear from you again!
Here are a few more pics from the premiere. I like how Yutaka is proudly showing off his finished paper crane while Kurasawa is still still trying to finish his.
