Lol, as expected from a true Juri fan - there was as at least one or two people between them so no cat fight. Bleah rofl

Too bad... The catfight might've been more interesting than the Kohaku. Mr Green

Aka-gumi might stand a chance if...
A. Their enka singers didn't do the exact same number as last year
B. Less stereotyped fluff eye-candy artists, wider depth of genres and true musical ability.
OK, I get they can't really drop Hamasaki or Koda... but when a third of the team is fluff, another third is Enkakas singing the same song, and the final third is all the same feel-good inspirational stuff like Ikimono Gakari or Aiko (while legitimately good, there's too many 1-dimensional groups in the same genre) ... it's a failed recipe.
C. Get Shiina Ringo. seriously, how can she have not been on Kouhaku by now?

Fashion has never been one of her strong traits. Beaten rofl

Hmm.

Maybe because of her charity work for Japan after the earthquake/tsunami...?

Well, there is a precedent for it. A few years ago Susan Boyle was a guest. But, unlike Lady Gaga, Susan Boyle has talent.

But given the Japanese inclination for weirdness, Lady Gaga probably fits right in. Crazy

Boyle's fellow Brit Sarah Brightman has also sung on Kohaku. And so have Cyndi Lauper, Andy Williams, and Paul Simon, among a number of foreigners.

HAHA.

They should change the teams to Pink vs. Green.

Kusanagi should host the show drunk and naked while the other SMAP members try to tackle him like a greased pig before he pees on stage.
