Did a rewatch of 4 Shimai Tantei Dan aka 4 Sleuthing Sisters. First time around didn't like all that much, rated it a 7/10. This time though it was the opposite, really enjoyed it. Bit fluffy, predicatable and corny, that actually may have helped it, need to adjust my review on it. Kaho as the youngest sister Yuriko was great in this, downloading Otomen with her in it, coming up after Hancho. _________________

Finished up what I could with Hancho, only 13 of the 15 episodes were available. Really give this high marks, one of the best police dramas I've seen. Nothing over the top or unbelievable stories or endings, just so solid, intense but with very little action, I was really glued to the screen, hated to see it end. Two more seasons of it which hopefully are available, this was such a pleasure to watch. Sasaki Kuranosuke is one of my fave actors, he's too underrated, he was superb along with Kurotani Tomoka, nice to see her with such a big role. Not quite a 10/10 but real close, I give this a huge recommendation, really just a basic police drama but done in such a high quality way, gonna be worth a few rewatches. _________________

I just finished watching Seigi No Mikata which was hilarious. I was pretty impressed at Mokomichi's performance in Regatta, so I'm now watching Zettai Kareshi. Is it my imagination or has Aibu Saki have the girl next door "air" that Yada Akiko had ?

I started Freeter, Ie wo Kau; Keizoku 2: SPEC; and Ogon no Buta. I love all of them! Is it me or are fall/winter dramas typically better than spring/summer dramas?

Yes, Hancho is good. Sasaki Kuranosukehas been given quite a number of lead roles lately.
I am watching <Ogon no Buta ~ Kaikei Kensachou Tokubetsu Chousaka>. I didn't begin with high hopes but the story got better as it moves along. It wasn't cheesy to say the least. The supporting cast was fantastic. They had three comedians taking on serious roles.

I noticed that the cast seem to be generally older for fall/winter dramas, perhaps that's the reason. I agree there are more quality dramas this season compared with the past few.

Or maybe we are getting older; or maybe most of us have watched enough Jdrama to distinguish quality stuff from brainless script. Classroom dramas and kawaii-looking boys in the summer don't appeal to us anymore.

I'm enjoying those same three, plus Nagareboshi. This season is a whole lot better than the last!

Currently watching Good Luck. After 5 episodes it seems ok. The story is good and most of the characters are pretty solid. I'm not use to a movie that's about the airplane industry. The only problems I see with it so far is that there's a couple cheesy scenes and Rina's character is a little annoying, though she improved a bit in episode 5. I like her character better in Strawberry on the Shortcake. _________________

Episode 7 of Otomen, this is something else, hard to describe without giving away any spoilers, but it certainly is different, least it's been very good and really funny at times.
What is an Otomen?
gOtomen—a male who has feminine hobbies and skills and a feminine way of thinking. A girlish guy.h Also Otomen is a Japlish pun that combines the Japanese word, gotomeh (maiden), with the English word, gmen.h _________________

I like the ending sequence a lot, with a PV-eseque quality to it. Pretty impressed with it. _________________
