@Lotuspad: Did you do the screencaps from RONDO yourself? Teach this comp idiot please... RONDO has TOO MANY scenes to be screencapped!!!
nadrika, I use GOM player and it has a screen cap feature. I haven't been able to screencap directly from DVDs using GOM. Well I've tried with a couple of movies, maybe just those. who knows. It certainly wouldn't even play my Rondo DVD at all. But my Rondo is a bad copy. So I downloaded a couple of eppys from yougashi's LJ site and used them for the caps. Give it a try. Maybe you have better luck with the dvds then I do. Unless someone here has another software that they can recommend for caps. Here's the site to download the player.

I shouldn't be here. But oh wells.
By the way, jdorama is freaking me out. Everytime i sign out, they actually 'tempt' me back by putting GORGEOUS Yutaka pic on that main page. WOW. How did they read my mind???!!!
And when i see that pic, its like Yutaka telling me, "Where are you going?" and i'll come back and hang around here some more. *sigh*

Yutaka - shy or hostile?
Tuesday, 30 October 2001 Streats (a free daily paper under Singapore Press Holdings)
Is Japanese heartthrob Yutaka Takenouchi a really shy guy or is there something wrong between him and Hong Kong pop princess Kelly Chen?
At a Japan press conference for the launch of his movie, Between Calm and Passionate, on Sunday, co-stars Yutaka and Kelly barely looked at each other, let alone exchange words.
This behaviour was in stark contrast to that displayed by Hongkong heavenly king Leon Lai and his Bullets of Love co-star Asaka Seto.
The two of them, who held their movie launch press conference on the same day, were hugging each other openly on stage.
Yutaka, when asked what he enjoyed most about filming his movie, answered cryptically: "I was happy that when shooting abroad, I was able to go off to have cappucino on my own and cycle alone to view the sights"
His remark suggested that he had no contact with Kelly off the set, reported Hongkong's The Sun yesterday.
But Kelly was quick to assure that everything was fine between her and her hunky screen partner.
"We're alright and we're actually pretty good friends," she said.
The production crew backed her up, saying that the two did engage in small talk backstage, and that Yutaka even bought a cake for Kelly, which they shared in her dressing room.

All ladies here can go on and on to list the good things about him. What about things you don't like about him? Do you ladies have anything you don't like? Just curious...
Ladies!!! Am i talking to myself here? Lets discuss!!!
Let me start the ball rolling then. Perhaps i'm conservative, so i really don't like it when i see Yutaka smoke in dramas or poses with a cigarette in photos. So i was quite happy with RONDO because his character didn't smoke, right?
Does anyone know whether he smokes in real life??!! If he does, i hope he tries to quit though. Smoking is bad for health Yutaka dear. Its not cool too.
And i like his clean image in the sense that i don't see him having things like piercings in his ears or any other part of his body. And he doesn't do much photoshoots in the buff right? That's the way i like him to be. You don't need to show much flesh to attract attention. At the end of the day, talent is what that really matters isn't it?
And like mentioned by yougashi once (in one of our exchanges), Yutaka chooses his work for the challenge it gives him and not for popularity sake. And i really respect him very much for that. By doing your job for the love of it is SO MUCH BETTER as you get intrinsic reward by just doing it. It comes from your heart and its sincere. Not for extrinsic reward like money or fame per se.

imho, that's shameless behaviour to garner publicity and playing to the media.

Yutaka, Yutaka, a work-oriented guy who doesn't mix work and personal life eh? Seems to take a professional attitude towards his art...

LOL..Yutakagr, you're right, he does hold his ciggy like a girl. But still sexy tho. I think I hold my ciggy with a bit more testosterone than he does. Well I smoked for a short while long ago.
Smoking is bad for one's health and I think nobody knows it better than the smokers themselves. Surely it's a constant struggle for them to quit but it's an addiction. Yes, much of it has to do with the state of mind and will power. Hell if I had any will power, I'd give up coffee and run 10 miles a day. Not a fair comparison but..you know what I mean, I hope. Like anything else, sometimes it is easier said than done. I'll take a chain smoking nice handsome man over a non-smoking a**hole any day!! LOL.

I would rather see Yutaka not smoking - me being a non-smoker myself but having other addictions that are bad for my health. Such as consuming large amounts of j-dramas when I should be working out. But then I believe that by doing things that are not good for your health but give you sheer happiness are good for you in the end. But maybe that is just an excuse for my low will power..
When I started watching Jdramas a few years ago I was irritated by the open display of smoking people on Japanese TV - myself coming from a country where advertising cigarettes and smoking in movies and on TV has been banned long time ago.
I find it so hard to grasp Yutaka's real personality. Everything I learn about him just adds to the mystery. With some actors their roles give us an idea what the person could be like. For example Sorimachi Takashi I can imagine the kind of person he is in real life. But due to Yutaka's varied choice of roles it is hard to tell how much of the true himself we see.

I love his laid back attitude here.

I have always wondered why he has been so unlucky when it comes to female counterparts in his work. Kelly Chen was obviously the lowest point in this unlucky chain. She really spoilt this beautiful movie for me.

I have to agree that smoking isn't the healthiest thing out there, but I too was once a "recreational smoker." I was 21, living in Paris, had a French boyfriend/lover and he smoked sooooooo beautifully that one night I bought a pack of Gitanes and while sitting in a cafe, waiting for him, I taught myself to smoke...cough..cough. I still remember the look on his face when he sat down and said "I didn't know you smoked. When did you start smoking?" and I tried to look sexy (hard to do when you're gagging on french cigarettes) and said in my new smokey voice...."about 15 minutes ago....cough cough." I love to look at Yuta's hands so I guess that's why I forgive him.
