Takenouchi, Kanno to co-star in TBS's "Tomorrow"
Sun, May 18, 2008 (5:13pm EDT)
TBS has announced a medical drama for this summer titled "Tomorrow," starring Yutaka Takenouchi and Miho Kanno. The show has apparently been in planning for the past four years. During that span of time, producers visited hospitals across the country gathering doctors' opinions about the problems faced by the hospital system and its patients.
Takenouchi plays a surgeon who retired 8 years ago to work for the municipal government. However, he ends up returning to the profession to help a local hospital on the verge of bankruptcy. Kanno plays a co-worker, taking on the role of a nurse for the first time in her acting career. Tamaki Ogawa, Tomoka Kurokawa, Takanori Jinnai, and Ittoku Kishibe have also been confirmed for the cast.
Filming starts later this month. "Tomorrow" will air on Sundays at 9:00pm, starting on July 6.

Each episode's mystery is solved within that short time span, but unlike typical detective shows, this comedy features a slow-witted sleuth named Rokuro Kurama (Domoto). While viewers will be able to identify the criminal right away, Domoto's character constantly comes up with incorrect theories, leading him to always accuse the wrong person. The show's name come from its time slot (Saturday nights at 11:10pm), which runs a total of 33 minutes after commercial time is subtracted. - Tokyograph
So what drama tops the most anticipated list? I remember reading a report by Oricon once on that but they are not releasing it for this season it seems..
I'm most excited about Maou (of course), 33minutes detective by Tsuyoshi Domoto and the pastry drama on TBS (because its about food and the leading girl is cute).
Definitely NOT watching Code Blue.

I'm wondering if Here is Greenwood would be any good at all. o.o; I read the first manga a long time ago.
I want to see Maou as well. :3 I'm not really interested in shows about lawyers, but this one sounds interesting.
from the original story (Mawang), it won't focus on the court cases but more on how the murders was done and the human psyche. i hope it'll turn out as good as the original

Ninomiya Kazunari starting in a "scooping out your instinct" drama
Popular group Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari (25), starting in October, will be starring in TBS's drama "Ryousei no Kizuna" (Meteor Bonds) (Friday at 10pm), it was announced on the 22nd (of July). Based off Naoki Prize winner Higashino Keigo's (50) mystery of the same name, it will be the first original work in 8 years for Kutou Kankurou (38) since "Ikebukuro West Gate Park" in 2000 for the same channel, with the exception of producing scenarios.
Ninomiya is to play the lead role who, with his younger brother and sister, witnessed the murder of his parents 14 years ago and go in search the criminal. Ninomiya says "it tries to establish sibling bonds kindly, and to become a work that scoops out not your reason, but your instinct" and is already very enthusiastic about it.
Also, the role of the younger brother is NEWS' Nishikido Ryo (23). On the heels of Fuji TV's "Last Friends", where he played a mysterious DV (domestic volience) man, what kind of performance we'll be seeing this time will be noticed. The sister will be played by actress Toda Erika (19).
Ryusei no Kizuna (Meteor Ties) - Friday 10pm, October 2008, TBS
originally written by Higashino Keigo (Galileo, Tegami, Byakuyaku, G@me)
script writer: Kudo Kankuro (IWGP, Kisarazu Cat's Eye, Manhattan Love Story, Tiger & Dragon, Go, Ping Pong)
Story revolves around 3 siblings whom parents were brutally murdered while they were out star gazing. In order to survive, the 3 orphans became swindlers while also plotting revenge on their parents murderers
Actors:
- Ninomiya Kazunari (25) *Koichi, eldest brother, mastermind
- Nishikido Ryo (23) *Taisuke, an expert in disguising himself into multiple personalities
- Toda Erika (19) *Shizuna, seductress
Personal thoughts:
OMG! ITS FRICKIN KUDO KANKURO DOING AN AWARD WINNING SUSPENSE WITH NINO!
i hope it'll turn out like Lemony Snicket's orphans turns adult.

He's disguising himself as various types of cardboard products?
yes, that might be a posibility
maybe he's like a ninja.. disguising as walls.. floorboards.. ground.. leaves.. treebark? it'll be a wider acting range.

Disguising as inanimate objects? Still, I really hope Ryo can prove himself this time. I'm losing faith in his ability as an actor...
But it's a Kankuro Kudo's dorama! Which makes it super-cool as I love his works. And getting Nino is the right thing to do (instead of someone from KAT-TUN for instance).
Err, Toda as the seductress? _________________
