What???
sorry, I meant "You MEAN another drama called OL Visual K", something like that, where an 'ugly' girl can turn herself beautiful with just make-up, that was a different actress, but there also was Beauty Seven, but that didn't have her, or an actress that looked like her in it...understand what I'm trying to say???
PS: a song in that Dorama was done by a two man group called "Doggy Bag" and the song was called "Ready Lady"...

I am very new to the JDorama scene, but have tried to get myself up to speed the past few months reading everything I can and even starting to watch a few shows. Well lemme just say I can't wait to see this in action if it ever comes out with English subs. Just thought I'd add my voice to let peeps out there know that there is interest in this one!

Welcome to the boards and thanks for the vote... I don't have a real good feeling about this show getting the English subs it deserves, but let's try to stay positive!

I also would really like to see this one with English subs--heck, even my husband showed an interest in this one (he usually doesn't, but he thought this looked cute). I may break down and get it raw just to see it, but my Japanese is not very good, so I miss a lot of the jokes that way...

*keeps fingers crossed for English-sub version*
Needless to say, but count me in on this as well. I've got this sinking feeling that it'll never be English-subbed, so we might have to settle for the next best thing: a Chinese-subbed version which seems to be readily available...
If anything, I hope the video quality is really good....

You mean like this one hanging on my wall?
LOL
I should have known you'd have it.
Actually, it's not perfect. What I'd ideally want is a large picture of just Ryoko-chan on the broom, not the rest of the cast. And not with the script across her body.
Looking more closely, what I'm looking for is a scan just like the cover of the DVD and VHS boxes. The title is moved to under the broom.

Ifm going to ignore for the moment that this drama is based on the American TV show gBewitchedh. Comparing it to the original series wouldnft be fair and Ifd have to change the tone of this review.
On itfs own, I found this drama highly entertaining. I have yet to see the last episode, but I believe my views would go unchanged. I thought the way the magic element was handled was awesome. Sometimes it was a bit hokey, but that only added to the overall charm of the show. No pun intended. lol
Yonekura Ryoko was fabulous. Although she was annoying at times, she made up for it in the moments that mattered most. Shefs a strong actress, gorgeous, and has great style. She also pulled off the role of the witch beautifully. Harada Taizo was the perfect George! Hefs so average! And so wonderful. I was instantly attracted to him and I could totally see what Arisa saw in him. Harada was really fun to wish and I thought his pairing with Ryoko-san was gold. My favourite character, of course, was Arisafs mother, played by Natsuki Mari. Mari-san seemed to have a lot of fun playing the role, and it was a lot of fun to watch her when she was on screen.
The storyline was a bit awkward, since a lot of the plot elements were rushed. There was a common thread through each episode, but the story itself was rather empty and didnft hole a lot of substance. Personally I didnft find that this mattered. The purpose of the show was to have fun and enjoy the ride, and I did! Not every drama has to masterfully written in order to be enjoyed! _________________
