Finally went to see this movie. It's playing at an art house cinema which makes sense because I don't think it will appeal to a main stream audience. It's about a dysfunctional family in the inaka. Is the family interesting enough to watch? Yes, definitely, there is a good storyline. How is the acting? I'm sorry to say that it was very well acted with the exception of Eriko. The main character is definitely supposed to be crazy. But Eriko only makes the character seem spoiled, self-centered and ambitious. Maybe it was the director's fault. Still, she wasn't bad and the other supporting actors/actresses did a great job. I'd be willing to see this again. Especially the scene with Eriko in her underwear.
