Actress/singer Aya Ueto will star in a remake of the Korean drama series "Hotelier." The original series aired in 2001 on the Korean network MBC. It was later brought to Japan in 2003, and was also popular there.
Ueto will play the heroine (previously played by Song Yun-ah), an assistant manager at a high class hotel. The storyline will remain roughly the same as in the original series.
The new series will be broadcast on TV Asahi in the Thursday 9:00pm time slot, beginning in April.
Korean actor Bae Yong Joon will be making guest appearances in the upcoming "Hotelier" drama. He will play Shin Dong Hyuk, the same character he played in the original Korean series. In that series, he was, a businessman trying to take over the protogonist's hotel.
This time, however, that role, will be played by Mitsuhiro Oikawa while Bae Yong Joon's character will be a supporter of the main character (Aya Ueto).
Bae Yong Joon will appear in first episode and in a few later episodes. His scenes will be shot in Korea, and his lines will mostly be in Korean.
It was also announced that Ueto will be in charge of the drama's theme song.
After the sudden death of Seoul Hotel? Chairman Choi, customer service manager Seo Jin-Young goes to the US to ask former top hotel staff Han Tai-Jun to take over all hotel operations. Tai-Jun accepts but unexpectedly stumbles into hotel acquisition expert Shin Dong-Hyuk, who is hired by Enterpriser Kim to help take over the hotel.
Dong-Hyuk and Tai-Jun are not only rivals for the hotel, they are both in love with Jin-Young. Dong-Hyuk is head over heels in love with Jin-Young, while Tai-Jun? heart has always been with his ex-love and colleague. Jin-Young herself has mixed feelings about this romantic triangle. Things become more complicated when the wealthy Kim Yun-Hee falls in love with Tai-Jun.
What will be their ultimate desire? Love? Career?

Cheerful in the Dressing Room

Half-Filled with Enjoyment and Doubts

President Sohn, of IMX, responsible for BYJ�fs management in Japan, was his interpreter during the filming and also kept him company during the script reading the day before and two days before filming.
�gEven this morning he was worried whether �eI can suddenly change into Dong Hyuk�f and I told him you�fll be alright. The personality of Dong Hyuk is quite similar to Yong Joon so I told him it�fs alright for him to be himself.
