man, this is gonna be one big potential thread. there are all kinds of people in various age groups, living in all places in the countries with different values, but i'm sure most will prolly say in the line of:
to graduate hi school,
get into college,
graduate college,
get into a good job,
leave this piece of crap job,
get married
have kids,
retire,
etc, etc. _________________

i would like to finish college, then go to japan on the JET program, which sends american people to japan to teach english. i would like to go and teach in tokyo for 2 years. then i want to get a job, maybe as a teacher of economics, or maybe for a magazine like electronic gaming monthly. for some reason, i've become interested in journalism. part of it is probly because i'm just scared of the future, and dont know what to do with my life, but whatever. i'm only 20, so i have lots of time to think about this kind of stuff, right?
lastly, i wanna try and get married by around 26-27, and have a kid first year of marriage. but who knows if that will actually work. if i end up not marrying my current girlfriend, which i've been with for 6 years already, i may be set way back in that category. _________________

I just wanna see where my roots came from. It wouldn't suprise me if all I saw were piggy doodoo anyway! *LOL*! After all, when my great grandfather came here in the early 1900's, the first two generations just worked in the sugar cane fields and lead frugal lifestyles. (But I'll be the first to change that!! Mwahahahaha $$ *LOL*)
But anyways, I've yet to see the (supposedly) beautiful beaches of Okinawa. All I know is Osaka which is why I want to see Okinawa so badly. Gotta go back to the roots man! *err, woman*

No paved road, and ALL pig farms! Just as well, because the Okinawan diet consists of a LOT of pork (debichi, rafute, Nakami soup (pig inside) etc) Everything from head to tail is used, and the present-day Okinawan diet begins and ends with pork, which explains the abundance of pork in the land of the ryukyus.
ahochaude wrote: | I just wanna see where my roots came from. There are a lot of great sashimi-ya there, and being right by the sea (i'm talking about less than 100 ft), the fish is REALLY fresh.

Gotta go back to the roots man! *err, woman* | life is WAY laid back there, Maybe that's how they became the country with the highest life expectancy (JPN). The place in JPN with the highest expectancy is Okinawa. You're right, you've gotta go back 'home' one of these days. Hell I'm not even uchinanchu and i feel quite at home in okinawa. _________________
