I never thought I'd see the day where I'd actually be jealous of Sakuranantoka, the Spice Girl. _________________

It doesn't take much to picture him with a boa and buffalo boots. _________________

Anime Dad wrote: | Mrs A.D. saw the new Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore movie Music & Lyrics last night, courtesy of Mrs A.D. scoring some free tickets to the local premiere.
Music & Lyrics is the story of a has-been 80's pop star (Hugh Grant) who is asked to write a song by "bigger than Britney and Christina put together" singer Cora. He begs his stand-in "plant girl" (Drew Barrymore) to help him with the lyrics when the co-writer he hires doesn't work out.
Not a bad bit of light entertainment. The story is fairly predictable, and doesn't stretch the actors much (except Hugh Grant's "singing"). Hugh Grant plays Hugh Grant, as usual, and Drew Barrymore is as adorable as ever. Also stars Brad Garrett (Robert from Everybody Loves Raymond) and Kirsten Johnston (3rd Rock) who is an absolute Amazon! I never realised how tall she is. |
I saw the commerical for this the other day! I LUFF Drew Barrymore! She's so grand and lovable. I'll have to find a way to make it to the movies to watch this, I have to admit it's not my priority right now. I have a long list of movies I still wanna see.
I DID see Fatal Contact (Hong Kong film). It was alright. Fight scenes were verra impressive and I liked the way the ending turned out, but otherwise it was just a bit weak. Still... I'd watch it again. _________________

I love Drew Barrymore too.
Mrs A.D. is a romantic comedy fanatic..... she just loves that kind of thing. She loved The Holiday too, enough to see it twice. (best part of The Holiday: Kate Winslet ) She's not a fan of fantasy / sci-fi (except Harry Potter) or action movies though.

I love Kate Winslet as well! She was grand in Finding Neverland, and of course she played opposite the love of my life. I like romantic comedies as well, but I also adore sci-fi/fantasy films. I love all types of films actually... but then, I'm easily entertained/amused.
