Just wondering.. does anyone here draw? Be it live portraits or caricature or whatever. Hoping to see galleries of drawings of Japanese artistes. _________________

ok since genma was looking forward to us posting our sketches..i'll post mine up... i just got my scanner working again! XD!!!
(i didn't know where or not to start a new topic ...so sorry genma if this is bothersome to you... just let me know and i'll start a new topic if ya like..k....? )
here are some from my current sketch book.... they haven't been photoshoped yet..so all my mistakes can be seen..i just scanned them...
here we go:
have u used a putty rubber by any chance?
the final version is very nice indeed!
so far i've only colored 1 pic of inuyasha
Oops.. saw this thread really late..
Yep used a kneadable eraser. Lets me control how much to erase and lets me get at hard-to-reach spots.
You've a pic? Show us?
hey lovelessemotion.. the pics look nice, but did the scanning make them seem abit washed out? Whats your colouring medium?
Actually the Inuyasha pic is the only one I've ever done on an anime. The others I did were more like human portraits (which I kinda suck at ). _________________

i think they are a lil washed out... but i dun use white paper its somekind of weird lightTAN rough paper.... the way i color for a sketch is just to color the shadows and leave the highlights and midtones empty so that the tan of the paper shows trough... i only color the shadows...
oh as for medium i like to use "AD" markers they're the CHARTPACK brand ... again i only color the shade... u should try those markers genma... but they bleed sometimes... but that is all marker
afterwards if i like a sketch i scan it and then i photoshop it to make it look clean like all those online pics.... but i just like the way markers look (sure they leave mistakes...but they look good)

as long as you share it and you're proud of ur work.. that's what really counts!
