Don't we all... Aim for Japan!
Lol, next time before the student exchange interview, I will know the latest news headlines and who I would send to represent Finland to abroad And, yes, they did ask such questions. But well, I still think that interviewer was unqualified to intrerviewing me, I mean she didnt know what ANIME is
Haha, yes I think each one of us wants a chance to go to Japan, then maybe one day one of us could write a report on their trip to a NewS con, and how they were inches away from touching them, lol.
AH, I just read about Shige's new drama too!
Yahoo! Japan NEWS:
Kato Shigeaki of NEWS will be starring in a special drama "KAKUREKARAKURI", which is based on a popular mystery novel, that will air September 13th. It is Kato's first time acting as the main character in a drama that will air during golden time. He will play a astronomical obervationist otaku.
"KAKUREKARAKURI" is about five college students who try to solve mysteries using 120-year old voodoo dolls, etc. It is the first time the novel has been made into a drama. As an actual college student, "Intelli-idol" Kato said that ever since he read the script, he's been really excited about filming it. In "Kinpachi Sensei", Kato played the class leader, but this time he will play an otaku who is not very good at interacting with others. He says "It's different from any other roles i've played, so i want to portray my character as interesting as possible." Chiaki Kuriyama will play the heroin in this drama.

OMEDETOU Shige..
and ganbatte...
btw i want to share this short clip which i cut from SC 5.10.2003
it was performance by KKK, Massu n Tego and other Jrs
they sang NEWS Nippon
but i think the lyrics is different with the one that sang by NEWS
i wonder why
any thought?
i also like the performance by Tego n Massu
i also was wondering if Johnny had announced the formation of NEWS or not by this time
could some1 tell me?
KKK also sang "Stand Up" but in English lyrics..
this eps of SC was really sad esp for 4Tops' fans..
it was like "saying good bye to 4Tops"
tenshi01: Yeah, I heard the plot in Gachibaka wasn't so great, but Masuda and Tegoshi were really good in it. O(><)O Thanks for the LJ link! She sounded like she had a awesome experience.^^
Thanks for the dorama information and image!^^ The plot sounds really interesting, and Shige looks hot.
elluxion: Kyyaa~!! Shige's smile's! (^OO^)<33 lol
*attempts to pronounce KAKUREKARAKURI* Kakurekakuaerawefzsdf... I have to agree with hantuwriter, it's like a tongue twister.
CenturyLover: lol I read her experience, and it sounds like they had fun! Not to mention it was pretty funny when I read it.^^
*sigh* Seriuosly, I (we, you, blah) need to learn Japanese and go to Japan... The things we're missing out.
hantuwriter: *still trying to pronounce the title* lol I won't be able to remember/pronounce that title for a long time. Never was good with tongue twisters from the beginning.^^;
You finally watch Dandori subbed? Yeah, it's watchable with the subs, but the girl is still kind of ...er... yeah. I'm downloading the second episode now.^^
Iv3_imt: Thank you for the clips!^^
Yay! Finished My Boss, My Hero episode two!! Now episode three! This is really off topic but, Nagase Tomoya looks really different from Mukodono!. I was quite shock at the sudden transformation.

Haha.. my plans are to go with my friends next summer, regardless of the fact that my vocabulary of Japanese words is limited to 5 words . Although my friend does know Japanese since she's taking classes. There goes my hopes of being a totally clueless and stranded tourist, rescued by one of the NEWS boys, who just happened to be passing by .
I don't really mind going to countries without any knowledge of their language, really. It seems more exciting . We pretended that we didn't know any English when we went to Ireland, but, although we proclaimed "we, english, no speak" and used gestures, pointing at the map and then at the streets, it didn't quite work .. we ended up laughing too much

How can she not know??!! Anime is, like, synonymous with Japan. The next thing you know, there'll be interviewers who have no idea what sushi is..
The girl that will be acting with Shige looks familiar... but I can't figure out where I've seen her. _________________

hantuwriter: If you do go to Japan next summer, I'm going to wish you luck!^^ I hope your plan works. lol
I'm planning on going to Japan too next summer for a scholarship thing, but I'm not sure yet.^^; I still need to apply and see if I'm accepted or not. Bleh~ And I need to practice Japanese if I do go there. o.O I remember bits and pieces of hiragana here and there, but other than that, everything goes down the drain...
yamapi_lover: lol Welcome!^^ Hope to get to see you more often!

Ahahaha, too bad I prefer going to Japan not clueless, since i want to go to a NewS concerts... it doesnt really work out if you cant talk Japanese Also, it makes Japanese ppl happy if a foreign person can speak Japanese ne?

Good question... Anime has been shown like who knows how many years in finland too, and she doesnt know what it is. Well, that person said that she was an exchange student 1996-1997 in the US
omg, shige is an otaku in that dorama? Sounds very interesting, and lol, now he seriously gets teased by other NewS members

Haha.. true, true. It would be hard to go to concerts if you're clueless. I figure I could just let my friend do all the talking, together with my friends friend who studies there, and the rest of us would just smile and nod along pretending that we know what they're saying .

Shige is an easy target for teasing.. he would make a really fun friend to have _________________

Sugoi!! So far i heard dat many fans from all over the world are planning to go Japan next Summer... Can u imagine, tis time round, the concerts will be full of foreigners dat they have to speak English during MC. LOL
im thinking too much...but its gonna b fun hearing them speaking in English once in a while. heard Kanjani8's..LMAO! Very cute..
Anyway i guess knowing at least the basics helps a lot when u r in japan, & yup they do feel very happy when foreigners can speak their language. & the plan about acting as if u dont noe anything when u bump into NEWS member sounds fun!!
Im taking japanese classes now & though i already memorize e Hiraganas & Katakanas...its not dat helpuful...coz its e sentence structure (mainly the grammar) is e one dat one need to focus on.
Yup, the girl was e sprinter in Battle Royale 1..Wonder how Shige as an otaku is gonna be like...dat "punk" look sure has to go ne Shige-kun? XD
Johnny-san? Hmm..whenever his name was mention, the one in Kurosagi, yamapi's boss...comes to my mind.
KYAH, everyone is going to Japan next summer, so jealous.
Someone sneak me with them
It would be nice if I understood Japanese well, esp if I go alone, don't want to get lost , and I think it would nicer experience ^^;
Organized Chaos: I've only seen one picture of him, I don't know it's floating around somewhere ^^;; It's not like I would save his picture >.> _________________
