Hi to all!!
There's this new ultra cool Jpn movie Death Note (2006).
Based on the Manga, it is currently a box-office hit at Japan.
A supernatural suspense thriller, starring the good-lookin Fujiwara Tatsuya & Matsuyama Kenichi.

Here's the plot outline:
Light Yagami is a brilliant student who has led a boring a life.
One day he found a strange notebook titled "Death Note" lying on the ground.
After realizing that the book was Death-God's tool to kill anyone whose name was written on its pages, Light decided to use it to rid the world of evil.
Soon unexplainable deaths of reported criminals caused Light to be hunted by the Japanese police and a mysterious detective known as "L".
L discovers that the murderer can kill just by knowing someone's face and name.
Light realizes that L is just as cunning, if not more intelligent than himself, and begins a cat and mouse chase with L to see who will be the first to have their identities exposed. _________________

it was become two eps,wasn't it??
the 2nd would be publish in october..
cant wait to see..
still wondering it would be publish in Indonesia or not..

Yup you are rite.
The 1st movie premiered in Japan on June 17, 2006 and is the present top Japanese box office movie.
The 2nd movie is due on Oct 2006. _________________

There have been buzz in the cannes film festival that this film may be distributed outside japan. After all WB acquired the rights for it. But we still have to wait and see. It's not 100% sure....

Yup..
hope <Death Note> gets to be shown in cinemas worlwide,
since its by Warner Bros n the viewership (movie n manga) is real good.
Either that or it will be directly released as DVD / VCD, which is wat usually happens to Jpn movies in Singapore.

A nicely-done website, with a lot of Macro-Flash.
I like the movie poster, very stylish and a bit creepy,
with Fujiwara Tatsuya as black & Matsuyama Kenichi as white.

well if its based on the manga which i read that its largely faithful to the manga (excepting the addition of the girlfriend, Shiori), then it will happen cuz thats such a big impact on the story, plus i love to

the manga was one of my favorites...once i see the movie i'll see if they did a good job...which i hope they did because i have high expectations for a good movie since it's based on one of my favorite mangas
