the ONE exception to that is there is actually a dish in japan called "taco raisu" (TACO RICE) which is actually similar to a risotto with rice topped with ground beef and "Mexican" seasoning.
but if you're in a sushi restaurant there's no need to worry about the possible confusion Sweat
i dunno if it's in Japan, but in Okinawa, taco-raisu stands are almost as ubiquitous as takoyaki stands. Must be because of the U.S armed forces influence.

yeah makes sense...i don't know if it's as prevalent as you mention but it is served in tokyo...if you watch the dorama Slow Dance...the lunch truck operator even offers it as a dish.

Some people can't handle raw food, but there are sushi rolls that don't have raw fish in Mr Green

Fair warning. You might spit the natto out after taking a bite...if its Natto sushi you're trying.

Natto sushi? Oh, I thought you were talking about that sticky soybean stuff. Doh! Excuse my ignorance.

Please excuse my ignorance once again, but what is a "chin?" I've heard it before, but I'm not sure what it means.
