ok, i knew Japanese Idol Aya Hirayama was mixed, half asian, half white, but Erika Sawajiri?? Shocked

I honestly didn't know she was mixed at all...thanks for the info.

And if I am reading it right (my Japanese is half-baked) seems she lost her dad to cancer when she was in Year 3 of Junior High, and her second older brother to a traffic accident when she was in Year 1 of High School. If that is true, That is REALLY tragic.

Yeah, you read correctly, father died from cancer, brother in an accident. I was surprised she was mixed. She looks full Japanese to me, but now that you mention it, in some pics she doesn't.
