Ranking, so far: 1. Densha Otoko 19.91�� 2. Yoshitsune �iEp.26 ~�j 17.64�� 3. Slow Dance 16.98�� 4. Dragonzakura 16.39�� 5. Joou no Kyoshitsu 15.48�� 6. Kikusaki 14.9�� 7. Nyokei Kazoku 13.37�� 8. Umizaru 13.15�� 9. Ganbatte Ikimasshoi 12.6�� 10. Shiawase Naritai! 11.98�� 11. Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu 10.92�� 12. Haruka 17 9.14�� 13. Otona no Natsuyasumi 8.26�� Too bad...the only drama that I follow evry week is only in the 11th position. I dont get it....I love it very much, and the movie was such a big hit too. It seems like there will be an Umizaru 2, considering the ratings of Umizaru, I'm quite surprised that there will be another season of Umizaru. Personally though, the drama is quite good.

Amazing leap for Jyou no Kyoshitsu. Now for Autumn. Mr Green

Jouou no Kyoushitsu was really damn good though, I thinkg it was great that that many people watched the end at least. Smile

That and Dragon Zakura are my favorite dramas this season. Densha Otoko and Slow Dance were amusing and fun to watch but Jouou nad Dragon Zakura have really strong messages to the Japanese people about their society. Smile

I dunno maybe I just like them because I'm a teacher there though ahah. Smile

saw the ratings for jouou on the news this morning, granted it was Nihon Tv news ( the channel it aired on) Smile

Jouou had a higher viewer rating at the final ep than Densha....
Yup, dragon sakura, jouou and densha are my favs this season...
I liked Slow Dance at first but the more I watch it, the less interested i came to be...

I'm surprised Ima ai ni Yukimasu did rather poorly in the ratings, considering that its movie counterpart was supposedly a big hit...

The final episode of Densha Otoko airs this week (tomorrow actually). So it could beat Jyou no Kyoushitsu. Probably go past 28%? I've only watched Slow Dance this season, must get my hands on Dragonzakura and Jyou since it sounds really good from what you say darkflame21.

Jyou no Kyoushitsu ended with 25.3% for the last episode, the second highest for any drama and came in second overall for the season.
Remarkable, considering it had no superstars, teen idols, hype or cheese (well maybe an ounce or two) going for it.
What it did have was a unique story, a great cast, humor, suspense and even a little love.
Plus a great heroine, little Kazumi - the nemisis of the teacher from hell.

Whoa the last episode rating of Densha and Joou is so close. Joou definitely is a surprised, just barely beating a star studded drama of Slow Dance. So far this year, Gokusen 2 still has the highest rating with 27.83%, then by Engine with 22.43% followed closely by Densha Otoko with 21.04%. The best of each season actually. I followed all 10 episodes of RAW Ima Ai ni Yukimasu with a little help from my own shoddy Japanese language knowledge. Could say it didn't hit me as well as the movie did. The movie was fantastic, but the drama was... well, quite bland.
