There's no problem with asking users to use the search engines and reading the announcement threads.

What he/she meant was probably to accept that many users still do not read the announcements (which may be long at times) and mods should not blow their top and chew the culprits' heads off when they do so. Not saying that anyone did that , but I think thats the point being brought across.

I don't think I've seen anyone blowing their top off. The whole situation is being blown out of proportion IMO. Maybe it's just me...

Yes, I'm aware of that.
This old user brought up the announcement threads and I just had to make it clear that we only point them out as a referance. In no way have we intended to do something into the effect as to "shove it into their face" (not a quoted text) as the former regular user has implied.

The picture shown is random, but it is taken from the Featured Artiste list: http://jdorama.com/featureartistes.htm

I checked and found that Yada Akiko is not there, so that means no one has submitted her yet. So if you can come up with some text and provide a nice picture to use, she can be one. The entire list is user-submitted.

I was actually supposed to work on it. I had volunteered for that assignment over a year ago and never got to it.
Perhaps that's why there is no profile for her, since everyone else thought that I was working on it...

I tried several times to change my profile setting (signature part) but always got this message:

General Error
Could not update users table

Is there something wrong with the server today? If so, I can wait. But if there is a problem with my registration or anything...please inform me. Thanks.

Unfortunatley, the moderators do not have such administrative access to the site. We will do whatever we can to relay that message to the administrator. However, another moderator had experienced the same problem earlier today....

Fixed. Somehow phpBB 2.0.17 had a variable renamed (popuppm became popup_pm) but wasn't consistent throughout.

Hi, I was just wondering why is there no pop up of the Japanese language install? Or is it just me. I need to dl it, but don't know where to find it

If you are using XP, the Japanese Language Pack is found in the installation CD. The popup might not show up if you accidentally clicked the checkbox to not install language packs.

i did long ago and couldn't find any. but i did it again just now and found Tatsuya's thread. but there is no Takeru's thread i've checked, he's not even listed in tha artiste search. is it possible to add him?
