This one was actually difficult to find. Other series have shown up within 8-10 hours after broadcast.

I was wondering if it is possible that bcoz the storyline seems much darker than the other dramas this season that's y less people capped it? most of the regular cappers that I dl from didn't seem to have capped it.
bmwracer: this may be alittle late but i did ul the kurokawa no techo special ard last week. not sure if u check d-addicts often so didn't post abt it in the ryoko thread.

Just to show how fast things move, Densha Otoko (aired Thurs July 7), was upped a couple of days ago, and English subs have recently appeared. I swear it's the fastest turnover I've seen.
@m|rA|: Yeah, I have been trying to get this one for some days now, and nothing has come by me. I don't know how you were able to get the HD version, but much props to you.
And I'll be sending the Kurokawa SP to BMW once I complete downloading it.

Yeah, me too. Was quite a stroke of luck really. I was trying to get the 640x480 ver when i saw a user with the HD ver. If nothing happens, will be able to ul it later when I get home. Hopefully will be able to get other episodes for it. Been looking forward to this series.

Any idea of what the story is about?
Looks like a deep, serious drama...

I just finished watching ep1. Liked it more that I thought I would.
Basically, it's about a family of 3 sisters and their battle over the inheritance after their father, Yoshizou, dies. At the reading of the will, it's revealed that their father had a lover, Fumino age 29(Ryoko Yonekura), whom he was seeing for the past 6 yrs. Fumino truly loved Yoshizou and never expected anything from him, so she was surprised he included her in the will. There's also a nice little surprise about Fumino at the end of ep1 too, but I'll stop here.

Hmm, interesting.
From previous synopses that I had read, I thought Fumino (Ryoko) was one of the daughters...
Now that explains some of the 'caps I saw on the official website: she's the odd man, er, woman out...

blurb about the show
--------------------------------------------------------------
Bitter is the appropriate adjective for all the characters in Nyokei Kazoku (Thursdays, 10 p.m., TBS network). Reiko Takashima plays the 35-year old eldest daughter of a wealthy company president. He has passed away leaving behind three daughters who all dislike each other, a mistress (Ryoko Yonekura) and a best friend and business associate, Ono, played by the great character actor Isao Hashizume. Ono is handling the estate but definitely does not deserve such trust, being involved in all sorts of backroom financial shenanigans.
Hovering in the background is the head of a Japanese traditional dance school (Katsunori Takahashi) who is covering his financial bets by going after both the eldest sister and the mistress. Takashima and Yonekura make believable rivals. In fact, there has been some wide show chatter insinuating that they were rivals on the set of this drama too.
The acting of all the characters is good, and those who are fascinated by the clever manipulations of a grand inheritance battle will probably enjoy this series. But after it became clear that even Ono is a scoundrel, I gave up. Who wants to watch a drama that lacks even one redeeming character?
